Chapter 237 – Teleportation
Chapter 237 – Teleportation
Once decided, no hesitation remains!
Punk instantly weighed all pros and cons, ultimately gritting his teeth and charging toward the teleportation gate at maximum speed.
Punk’s speed was sufficient, after all, the divinity of “Light” held by the Lord of the Dawn determined that this powerful greater deity couldn’t possibly execute any sneak attacks. He had to grandly announce “in the name of light” before attacking, which bought Punk considerable reaction time!
Just like when pursuing Bloodclaw, Punk directly cast “Kinetic Ejection” on himself. This spell acceleration allowed Punk to cross nearly a hundred meters in fractions of a second, directly plunging into the teleportation gate.
In the next second, divine retribution descended!
Punk didn’t get to witness the terror of the Legendary Spell – certainly not a loss, but rather a fortune.
Upon entering the teleportation gate, Punk didn’t immediately survey his surroundings. His first action was to frown deeply while looking back toward the teleportation gate, as it might transmit the raging energy of the Legendary Spell along with him. If that were the case… Punk would still be doomed!
Fortunately, this scenario didn’t occur.
Through the teleportation gate, Punk could clearly see dazzling brilliance violently striking, instantly dyeing the entire gate pure white.
Although the other side appeared “resplendent,” not a shred of this terrifying energy – capable of effortlessly obliterating groups of Master-Level experts – passed through the teleportation gate. That thin luminous curtain stood as the most indestructible barrier in existence, isolating all danger beyond the gate.
“Incredible! Spatial connection capability surpassing Legendary rank, indestructible spell structure solidification, and sufficiently advanced identification intelligence… all these functions integrated into a single small teleportation gate – truly a miraculous wonder!”
Seeing that the Legendary Spell no longer posed a threat, Punk gradually relaxed his furrowed brow. Though the path ahead remained uncertain, at least this life-and-death crisis had been overcome!
Evidently, even terrifying divine punishment couldn’t harm the teleportation gate in the slightest. Wave after wave of energy surges struck the gate with immense force and horror… yet in reality, these energies couldn’t even create ripples. The gate’s resilience far exceeded ordinary defensive Legendary Spells, reaching levels that could ignore conventional offensive Legendary Spells.
However, after enduring the divine punishment, the teleportation gate seemed to determine that no further targets would come through. It began shrinking bit by bit, finally vanishing with a flash of light.
At this point, the connection between the unknown space and the Dillon Kingdom had completely disappeared.
Though unaware which corner of the multiverse he’d been teleported to (this was no exaggeration), Punk began gathering all obtainable intelligence after the gate closed.
“Is this… a secret chamber? Total area fifty square meters, surrounding walls suspected to be Legendary-level Alchemical Creations, air suspected to be drawn from the teleportation gate, extremely thin… Princess Trelinka is crouching in the corner?”Punk expressionlessly glanced at this “Her Highness the Princess” who showed not a trace of emotional fluctuation.
Unlike Trelinka’s anxious worry when she was captured, the princess now appeared like a walking corpse—alive, but only barely so.
“A ridiculous fool, a naive princess.”
This was Punk’s entire assessment of Princess Trelinka, and also the last sentence this pitiable princess would hear in her brief life—a life spent as a pawn from birth until everything she cared about was utterly destroyed.
Not wanting to splatter flesh and blood all over the small room, Punk used alchemical magic to extract Trelinka’s soul. Throughout this process, Trelinka remained motionless in the corner, hugging her knees like a puppet—offering no resistance, not even an emotional response. Of course, whether she resisted or not meant nothing to Punk.
The soulless Trelinka left behind a dead corpse. Adhering to his philosophy that “even a fly’s meat is still meat,” Punk snatched a new storage necklace from Trelinka’s neck.
“Hmm… What’s going on? Could this storage necklace be broken?”
Holding the gemstone necklace between two fingers, Punk’s expression suddenly turned grave. He clearly sensed that the necklace’s solidified spell structure was intact and energy conduction was normal, yet strangely, the commands he issued to the magical core vanished without effect, like mud flowing into the sea.
Punk’s face darkened instantly. A terrible premonition dawned on him…
“Indeed, all magical items have become unusable!Punk hastily checked his storage ring and Master-level robe, and the results confirmed his ominous premonition. All magical items functioned perfectly—except their mental connection to him, their owner, had been completely severed!
This was not good news. In fact, it was disastrous news.
Punk had already meticulously perceived every inch of this mysterious room, leaving no corner unexamined. His final conclusion was:
“This is an absolutely sealed room. The walls cannot be harmed in the slightest by any spell below the Legendary level!”
A most irritating conclusion. While Punk didn’t believe this teleportation scroll would go to such lengths—even attracting divine punishment—just to imprison a stranger, this sealed space clearly posed a troublesome predicament.
Whether this room was a puzzle or something else, the most critical fact remained: it was sealed. That meant not only was there no food or water, but even the air was non-renewable.
As a level fourteen mage skilled in alchemical spells, these conditions alone wouldn’t defeat Punk. His storage ring contained enough food and water to sustain him, and sufficient materials to convert into oxygen… But—all these things were inside the storage ring! Utterly useless if he couldn’t retrieve any of them.
Although as a Formal-Level powerhouse, going without food or water for a month wasn’t a major issue, and he could temporarily use magic to substitute for oxygen for three or four days without breathing, being trapped here for a year or half would… spell serious trouble.Punk took a deep breath to calm himself down. For now, he set aside the method to decipher the room and instead placed the necklace into his pocket, then carefully lifted Trelinka’s body in his hands:
“If this predicament lasts too long… food, water, and supplies will become essential strategic resources. Her Highness the Princess must weigh at least fifty or sixty jin, huh! She can be of great help to me!”
