Chapter 151 – LV.Thirteen Priest Seo Yun – [Three]

Chapter 151 – LV.Thirteen Priest Seo Yun – [Three]

Han Siwoo did not swing his sword once during this hunt. The reason being that although the three of them drove around in the car all day, they couldn’t find any monsters worth hunting. In a way, it meant the matter of that girl flying off into the sky alone had been slightly delayed.

But since it would be awkward to show any sign of happiness, Han Siwoo was managing his expression, sitting in the back seat with a gloomy face.

From the passenger seat, Gaeulbi spoke in a voice that seemed like she might burst into song.

“What a fulfilling day today was! It’s been a while since I chatted to my heart’s content… right?”

But perhaps she was frustrated at having wasted a day when the situation was urgent? Seo Yun deliberately didn’t answer.

Eventually, when Gaeulbi sullenly closed her mouth, Han Siwoo, unable to bear it, intervened and asked.

“Are we going to the next village now? To meet Rayeon and go hunting together?”

“We should.”

Not long after, the car arrived at the neighboring village.

As Han Siwoo got out of the car with the two girls, the villagers approached. People who recognized their faces ran off somewhere. Likely to inform the village leader of their arrival. To that girl, Seo Rayeon, who was the same age as them yet effortlessly managed an entire village.

A short while later, one of Seo Rayeon’s loyal retainers approached.

“You’re here?”

It was Kim Jihyeok. As the guy waved his hand with an awkward motion, Seo Yun grinned.

“Yeah, Mom’s here. Is Rayeon waiting now?”

“Yeah…”

Kim Jihyeok nodded and then guided them.

Han Siwoo looked at the back of the boy walking silently ahead and thought.

That Rogue bastard has probably contributed significantly to the hunts so far.

Over the past year, Kim Jihyeok’s Level hadn’t changed much from before, but his already excellent skill at tracking monsters had developed even further. Most of the monsters hunted so far were found and reported by that boy.

So, that boy has essentially played the role of an excellent hunting dog in the hunts so far, yet he hasn’t been able to participate in the actual hunts and hasn’t gained a single Experience Point. Despite that, he hasn’t uttered a single complaint and continues to assist Seo Rayeon and them in their hunts. It was as if he were a loyal hound deeply grateful just for not being boiled in a pot and being allowed to follow its master around.

In the past, he would have cursed him as a girl-crazed bastard who should have his manhood cut off immediately, but now Han Siwoo couldn’t do that. Because he himself, who ran away following the runaway Gaeulbi, wasn’t much different…

Feeling a sense of shared hardship, Han Siwoo looked at Kim Jihyeok. Following the guy, they entered the tent where Seo Rayeon was waiting. Seeing Kim Jihyeok, Seo Rayeon praised him half-heartedly.

“You brought the kids? Good work, Jihyeok.”

“Good work, my foot…”

Having completed his task, Kim Jihyeok stood beside Seo Rayeon and hid his form with an Invisibility Spell. He hadn’t left somewhere after that but would be around here. It seemed he intended to thoroughly perform the role of an unseen bodyguard.

Meanwhile, Seo Rayeon looked at them. First, she looked at Seo Yun, whom she treated as an Unni, and smiled brightly. Then, she not only looked at that girl but also sent her gaze towards Gaeulbi and him, and likewise smiled and said.

“You two, aren’t you hungry? I’ll quickly set up a nice meal, so eat well and stay the night.”

Seo Rayeon’s expression clearly showed she was glad to see him, an uninvited guest, but that wasn’t strange. Although he had learned this fact while staying in this village for a few days to evade the Troll’s pursuit in the past, Seo Rayeon liked both him and Gaeulbi.

Well, Seo Rayeon is a copy of Seo Yun, isn’t she? It was understandable that Seo Rayeon felt close to him just as Seo Yun did. Just as Seo Yun, not long after meeting him, felt sorry that he wasn’t eating properly and boiled chicken soup for him, Seo Rayeon showed similar behavior.

It was from the time he came to stay in this village, having lost a lot of weight. As soon as Seo Rayeon saw him, she diligently made Nutrient Porridge to feed him and fatten him up. Not only that, feeling sorry that he had to eat tasteless porridge, she even bought two chickens from Happy Village and had the village cook fry chicken for him. Although the exact behavioral patterns differed, he could truly feel she was a copy of Seo Yun while tearing into a chicken leg.

Even now, Seo Rayeon was displaying her affection towards Gaeulbi.

“Oh my, our Chimpanzee… You still look listless, I don’t know what to do. I’ll pet your fur, so smile a little, okay?”

As Seo Rayeon stroked Gaeulbi’s head, Gaeulbi blamed the innocent Seo Yun.

“Rayeon calls me that because she has an Evil Alignment, right? Seo Yun, isn’t it that your original thoughts got copied and she’s just voicing them?”

“Of course not. What do you take me for, asking something like that?”

“But I think Seo Yun once talked nonsense to a Troll about me being a pet chimpanzee raised in the village, so maybe…”

Listening to their conversation with a pleased expression, Seo Rayeon then said.

“Speaking of Trolls, Unni, by any chance, do you have any reason to go to the Troll village?”

Seo Yun, who had been proudly arguing that she would never consider people as primates or the like, asked.

“Why the Troll village?”

“They need to return the magic wand I borrowed from there. It’s my item now, they really have no conscience. Anyway, Unni, you need to go there too, right? Since you drive around everywhere, if you happen to be going to the Troll village, it would be great if you could bring my magic wand from there.”

Seo Yun agreed and then looked at Gaeulbi and him and asked.

“Do you two want to go to the Troll village together? As I said before, the Trolls are gone from this world now. That village is where you originally lived. Your original friends should be there.”

Gaeulbi nodded.

“I’ll go…”

“Then, let’s go after our hunt. Rest well, okay?”

Stroking Gaeulbi’s head in a motion similar to Seo Rayeon’s, Seo Yun left the tent with Seo Rayeon and Kim Jihyeok. She intended to spend the night, without rest, on hunting again.

Having finished the hunt and returned, Seo Yun immediately put the village chimpanzee and Han Siwoo in the car and headed for their destination. Upon arriving at the Troll village, the village teenagers recognized not only Seo Yun but also the boy and girl he had brought.

“Oh, Seo Yun? And…”

“Eulbi!”

As a group of girls clung to Gaeulbi, Han Siwoo removed his Helm. Only then did the boys, recognizing that face, stare at Han Siwoo with wide eyes.”Why did you get so tall, Siwoo? I thought your armor was some kind of sci-fi powered suit. Why is it so thick? Can you really move around in this…”

Seo Yun watched with a contented gaze for a moment as Gaeulbi and Han Siwoo had their emotional reunion with their old friends, then turned and walked away. She headed towards the school building. Inside, there was someone or something Seo Yun needed to meet.

The Troll wearing the Golden Mask looked her way. He opened his mouth, his voice halting.

“You, came?”

“Yes.”

Seo Yun looked at something that was neither human nor Troll. The Troll Mage… it was the Avatar Body he had left behind in this world.

It was a type of doppelganger that a Mage who had reached Level 15 and gained Divinity could create. The Avatar’s Level was determined by the Experience Points the Mage expended. The Troll, who had been over Level 20, must have poured all his Experience Points exceeding Level 20 into that Avatar Body before his Ascension.

Thus, by calculation, that Avatar Body’s Level was 17 or higher. It wouldn’t be as powerful as the Epic Level Troll Mage who could stop time without even reciting a Spell, but it was still a formidable Mage. Also, while the Avatar Body maintained a separate personality from the original, it still possessed the original’s memories intact. Just as the ascended Troll had helped her, it was clear this Avatar Body would also help her.

“Why, did you come?”

“That side… I mean, the ascended Troll.”

“What about my original?”

“Before he left, he told me the locations of a few Dungeons to use for fast Leveling.”

“I know. I had compiled the Dungeons I created but didn’t Clear during the game era, intending to tell you. So, did you go?”

“I couldn’t. The Dungeons he told me about are far overseas, hard to get to, and right now Europe is overrun with Skeletons, isn’t it? I might force my way through if I had to, but since I have the same face as the Goddess of Beauty, if I run into any intelligent Undead, it could be a big problem…

So, I’ve just been hunting monsters around here, but I’m slowly running out of them. Can you open a Dimensional Gate to those Dungeons? Or take me there yourself?”

“I can do that.”

“Thank you. And there’s one more thing to tell you. In a little over a month, the Final Boss will invade.”

When Seo Yun relayed what she heard from the Prophet Angel, the Troll promised to responsibly deliver the news to all villages connected to the Dimensional Gate.

With that, her business here was done. After getting back the magic wand Seo Rayeon had borrowed, Seo Yun suddenly remembered something and spoke.

“Ah, and the Monsters are still using modern weapons, right? The Paladin NPCs don’t seem to have much resistance to modern weapons either. Was that perhaps your design?”

“My design?”

“I mean, something you planned to do once you became a God. I wondered if you thought of just letting both sides use modern weapons or not, to help humans better resist Monsters…”

When Seo Yun asked her guess, surprisingly, the Troll denied it.

“If Monsters are still using modern weapons… if the Meteorite isn’t preventing that now, I suspect that’s not my doing.”

“Why?”

“My original plan was to prevent only Monsters from using modern weapons, even if humans used them. Naturally, that would be more beneficial for humans, wouldn’t it?”

“Then what is this now?”

In response to Seo Yun’s question, the Troll answered.

“In my view, the Meteorite’s power has simply weakened. Having expended its power…”

“Expended its power?”

“You’ll know if you see for yourself.”

Seo Yun thought for a moment and immediately understood.

“Because the Meteorite created a God last time?”

“Right.”

“And not just an ordinary God, but a Chief God like the Sun God with all sorts of grand settings attached, so it used up a lot of resources and now lacks the power to control Monsters, is that it?”

“Probably.”

Hearing that the new GM hadn’t done his job, Seo Yun was momentarily taken aback, then thought. This wasn’t such a bad thing.

“Anyway, if the Meteorite’s power greatly diminishes each time it creates a God… if that reduction is visible, then creating two or three more Chief Gods would completely drain the Meteorite’s power.”

“Right. And if that happens, the Meteorite will no longer be able to interfere with the world. Then the world could be considered complete.”

Seo Yun nodded her head in satisfaction. This gave her even more confidence in what she intended to do.

If the Meteorite could no longer interfere with the world, humanity would once again be able to act freely without any constraints. Monsters that could even deflect bullets could be swept away using missiles or Artillery Shells. Someday, when the layer of ash covering the sky disappeared, they could once again blossom a splendid civilization…

Meanwhile, the Troll was staring intently at her from behind the Golden Mask. He suddenly asked.

“But if Pygma Mule will invade soon, and you don’t have much left until Level 15…”

“It seems I’ll soon be following your original. We probably won’t have many chances to talk from now on.”

The next moment, Seo Yun raised her eyes slightly in surprise. As if the Avatar Body also shared the original’s guilt, he bowed his head and said this.

“I speak on behalf of my original. I’m sorry for putting you through this, truly.”

“Sorry?”

“For imposing this duty on you, who bears no responsibility for any of this.”

Seo Yun immediately shook her head.

“No, I also have a responsibility to do something.”

“What, responsibility?”

“This and that.”

After exchanging a few more words like this, Seo Yun left the school building.

Gaeulbi and Han Siwoo were there with their old friends.
