Chapter 102 – Crawler

Chapter 102 – Crawler

Thinking that he would be able to advance to Crawler tonight, Yashan trembled with excitement.

He had looked forward to this day for a long time and had put in a lot of effort for it, even risking his life several times. His dear children had almost not seen their father again.

As long as he successfully advanced, he would gain a new ability. He wasn’t sure what it would be, but his survival ability would definitely increase significantly.

Yashan believed that Crawler was not his end. He could continue to evolve at this pace, become a powerful Evolved Human, and finally impact that supreme God realm, becoming an immortal being on this continent.

As for whether his Boss Wei could help him obtain the flesh and blood of a Crawler, he never doubted it. Boss Wei’s power was beyond his comprehension.

He guessed that Boss Wei might be an Evolved Human from the most mysterious and rare Seer sequence, and his level must be very high.

As for whether Boss Wei would kill him, Yashan wasn’t worried. As long as he behaved and obeyed, and still had some value to Boss Wei, he would live well.

Moreover, high-level Evolved Humans were only interested in other Evolved Humans of the same level or Advanced Evolved Humans, because only by devouring the flesh and blood of those at or above their own level could they improve their abilities.

As for low-level Evolved Humans, as long as they didn’t appear before Advanced Evolved Humans and show hostility, they were too lazy to make a move.

“Hey, Yashan! What are you thinking about? Hurry up and lead the way.” Su Hao kicked Yashan, making him stumble.

Yashan immediately snapped back to attention and replied loudly, “Yes, Boss Wei.”

He took out a hood and put it on, then led the way into the city.

The two moved cautiously through the city, one in front and one behind. Suddenly, Su Hao reached out and pulled Yashan, signaling that someone was ahead and they should take a detour.

Yashan was even more surprised, repeatedly convinced that Su Hao was an Advanced Evolved Human of the [Seer] sequence.

The two arrived between two tall residential buildings. Yashan said awkwardly, “Is it here? It seems the other party has left.”

Su Hao was speechless. “So, why did you bring me here?”

Yashan scratched his head and stammered, “This… this, he was here before. I didn’t expect him to run off so soon. I thought Boss Wei might have a way to find him. Boss Wei, what should we do?”

Su Hao looked at the simpleton in front of him. How had he survived this long? How had he gotten a wife? Was he an imbecile?

Seeing Su Hao’s increasingly unfriendly gaze, Yashan didn’t dare to say another word.

Su Hao asked, “Did the [Crawler] and [Shapeshifter] fight here just now?”

Yashan pointed to some marks on the ground and nodded. “That’s right. The [Shapeshifter] was injured by the [Crawler] right here. I heard the commotion and came over, and that’s what I saw.”

Su Hao thought for a moment, then placed his hand on Yashan and drew a rune.

“Light Absorption”!

Soon, Yashan was completely black. Even with the Zhu Huo People’s super night vision, it was difficult to tell that this was a living person, as if he had become invisible in the night.

Yashan’s eyes widened as he looked at himself, but saw nothing. His mouth slowly opened in amazement. “Boss, is this your sequence ability? It’s amazing!”

Su Hao didn’t answer. He applied “Light Absorption” to himself, and after confirming there were no issues, he immediately gave Little Light a command: “Little Light, collect footprint information within the range.”

Then, he casually drew a Strong Light Rune and flashed it at the combat traces.

“Footprint collection successful. A total of 35 pairs of footprints.”

“Let’s go, someone’s coming. We need to leave here first.” Su Hao said, and without regard for Yashan, who was almost blinded, he quickly left.

He perceived someone with the strength of a Grandmaster Blood Qi rapidly approaching.

Although he wasn’t afraid, he had a purpose tonight and it was best to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Yashan’s eyes widened, his vision still blurry, and he could only follow Su Hao’s steps by instinct.

As Su Hao walked, he asked, “Yashan, about the [Crawler] you saw, what was its approximate height and weight?”

Yashan replied, “It was very tall, a bit shorter than the [Great Strength Person] we encountered before, but not by much.”

That made things easier, as there were only two pairs of footprints that fit the description. And one of those pairs was barefoot.

Su Hao asked again, “Do you remember if that person was wearing shoes?” Yashan immediately replied, “No, they weren’t wearing shoes.”

Su Hao nodded. After waiting a moment and confirming with Radar that the Evolved Human with Grandmaster Blood Qi had left, he turned back and said, “Let’s go, we’re turning back.”

Although Yashan didn’t know where Su Hao was going back to, he didn’t ask. He obediently followed behind Su Hao, his eyes wide, staring intently at the darkness ahead, afraid he might lose sight of him.

The two soon returned to their previous location. Just as Su Hao was about to follow the footprints, he noticed that the Evolved Human’s footprints, which he had collected earlier, matched perfectly.

Su Hao smiled. It was just a coincidence, but now he didn’t even need to track the footprints. The Evolved Human who was suspected to be the [Crawler] hadn’t left his Perception range yet!

“Let’s go, we’ve found them!” Su Hao immediately started tracking the [Crawler].

“What? You found them already?” Yashan was stunned again. As expected of the [Seer] sequence, they were truly omnipotent.

Yashan began to regret choosing the [Shen Armor] sequence. Perhaps the [Seer] was the most powerful?

Soon, Su Hao and Yashan blocked the path of the Grandmaster Blood Qi Evolved Human.

Su Hao asked, “Is it him?”

Yashan nodded, then hesitated, “Boss Wei, do you need me to help? Should I go up and grab one of his legs or something!”

Upon seeing the [Crawler], Yashan immediately confirmed that the person was indeed the Level Two Evolved Human [Crawler] from his own sequence.

The level suppression from the same sequence made his legs weak and shaky the moment he saw the [Crawler]. He felt immense fear even just raising his fist towards the [Crawler].

Su Hao glanced at Yashan and saw the fear in his eyes. He was curious and shook his head, “No need, just stay put.”

Yashan breathed a sigh of relief.

Su Hao asked curiously, “Are you very afraid of him?”

Yashan immediately nodded, “Yes, I’m afraid. I don’t dare to get close.”

At this moment, the tall and robust [Crawler] spoke, his tone indifferent and his demeanor arrogant, “Are you two looking for death?”

The [Crawler] was no longer covered in dense scales like Yashan. Instead, he was covered in smooth, black armor like a beetle, completely encasing his face, as if he were wearing armor made from his own Hardness.

His hands were fitted with gauntlets that resembled wolf tooth clubs, looking incredibly ferocious. The consequences of being hit by one of his punches were unimaginable.

Although the [Crawler] was confident, he looked at the two dark figures in front of him and was momentarily unsure.

He perceived that one of the taller individuals was a Level One ability user from his sequence, someone easily dealt with, while the other short, shadowy figure barely registered as an Evolved Human, appearing as a completely ordinary person.

Facing such a combination, he would have normally charged in without a second thought.

However, these two shadowy figures made him wary. If not for the shadows moving, he wouldn’t have even noticed their presence.

Su Hao asked directly, “Are you the [Crawler]?”

The [Crawler] became even more wary, clearly realizing these two were prepared and had to be guarded against.

Seeing the other party’s silence, Su Hao immediately said, “If it’s convenient, give me two pieces of meat. If not, I’ll take them myself. Your choice!”

The [Crawler]’s eyes narrowed, a smile creeping onto his lips. “With just you two?”

He then stomped his foot.

“Boom!”

The ground trembled, and dust fell from the surrounding walls.

Su Hao immediately understood the other party’s choice: refusal to cooperate.

He stopped wasting words, drew his Short Blade, and began to apply Rune states.

“Hardness” “Penetration” “Sharpness” “Shock” “Corrosion”…

The opponent was covered in thick armor, clearly not easy to break through. He needed to apply all the states!
