Chapter 33 – The Authority of the God of Yin and Yang
Chapter 33 – The Authority of the God of Yin and Yang
After walking out of Xiangling’s sight, Qiu Bai instantly teleported to the top of a mountain.
He sensed a strange aura, one that felt very similar to his own.
However, in his current state, it was difficult for him to pinpoint the exact location of that aura.
With a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, he transformed into a woman. Her face was exquisitely beautiful, with lips as red as cinnabar, and her light blue eyes carried a hint of cool detachment.
The woman wore a black-and-white long dress, with a Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram fastened at her waist.
At this moment, the Yin aspect of the Yin-Yang Duality was emitting a brilliant glow.
Her long black hair was held in place by a black-and-white hairpin, while her jade-like legs and feet were exposed.
At first glance, she gave off the impression of an otherworldly Adeptus, an untouchable presence.
The woman stood about 1.7 meters tall.
Qiu Bai—”he” now, no, she now—had transformed into a female. Yes, this was another Authority of the God of Yin and Yang.
Even she herself had only transformed into this state for the second time, and even her old friend Morax had never seen it.
However, under normal circumstances, she was unwilling to take this form, as it would slightly alter her personality and perceptions.
“Like these two in front of my chest.”
“Uh…”
Qiu Bai touched the two Slimes on her chest, her face slightly flushed as she murmured.
Even her voice had become sweet and clear, like the sound of silver bells.
Afterward, Qiu Bai glanced around and flew off in a certain direction.
“Hmm…”
“Is the sensing correct?”
After flying for a while, the beautiful woman stopped above a massive crater.
The area around and inside the crater was densely covered with trees, and some animals seemed to be running through the forest.
The woman’s beautiful eyes looked toward the center of the crater before she descended.
“This is… the place where I purified the dark energy from Azhdaha, the Dragon King, back then.”
Qiu Bai extended her jade-like hand, sensing slightly before furrowing her brows.
Before she could take any action, the ground loosened, and a white orb shot out, flying at an incredible speed toward the sky.
“Don’t run!”
The woman shouted sharply before flying at high speed in the direction the orb was fleeing.
She sensed that the orb seemed to be nurturing a Demon God.
The orb and the woman flew high into the sky, but ultimately, Qiu Bai was faster. She reached out with her jade-like hand and grabbed the white orb.
The orb trembled a few times in Qiu Bai’s hand before falling still.
“This is… the Origin I lost when I purified Azhdaha, the Dragon King, a thousand years ago.”
“I never expected that after a millennium, it would be nurturing a Demon God like me.”
In the sky, Qiu Bai held out her jade-like hand, carefully observing the orb before her. The bright white moonlight shone upon the cool, detached woman.
“Fortunately, it hasn’t yet developed consciousness.”
“Otherwise, I really would have become a mother.”
Qiu Bai looked at what hadn’t happened, sighed in relief, and patted her chest.
At this thought, Qiu Bai froze for a moment before blushing. Becoming a mother was impossible—absolutely impossible in this lifetime.
“Wait?”
“Why am I blushing? So this form really does change my personality.”
Qiu Bai murmured softly.
Then she looked at the orb in her hand. After all, it had only been nurturing for a thousand years.
It had taken centuries just to form this orb, so its escape was purely instinctual.
“Since that’s the case, I’ll let you return to my body.”
Qiu Bai spoke to the white light sphere in her hand.
Although her current state is already ten times stronger than a thousand years ago, there shouldn’t be any problem replenishing the Origin she had lost, right?
Then, she flew with this light sphere to a deserted wilderness where no one was around, casually entering a cave.
She sat cross-legged, extending a jade-like hand to absorb the Origin power from the light sphere.
Inky white light flickered within the cave as time passed bit by bit.
The sky gradually brightened, and Qiu Bai slowly opened her beautiful eyes, which had been slightly closed. The light sphere before her had already disappeared.
After briefly sensing the power within her body, Qiu Bai didn’t feel much of an increase—half of what she was a thousand years ago?
“But at least it increased, right?”
“Even a tiny sesame seed is still meat.”
Thinking this, the woman smiled brightly, then stood up and walked out.
Outside, it was already morning. Sunlight shone on Qiu Bai’s face as she stretched with a big yawn.
“With that done, I should go find the Traveler first.”
“Lumine should be with that guy Morax.”
Thinking this, Qiu Bai slightly sensed Lumine’s location, and then her figure vanished.
Arriving not far from the Traveler and Zhongli, she concealed her own aura and walked over.
Before she could reach them, she saw Zhongli, Lumine, and Paimon offering incense to the Statue of The Seven, and the statue reacted to the third type of incense.
Before she even reached the spot, Qiu Bai heard little Paimon’s voice.
“It seems Rex Lapis is quite fond of the third type of incense.”
Lumine softly said to Zhongli beside her.
“I never thought the God of Rock would like this kind of incense.”
“Could it be that Rex Lapis is a mature big sister?”
Paimon murmured curiously.
Because the third type of incense had a gentle yet long-lasting fragrance, like a hazy mist, it was very popular among mature women.
Hearing this, Zhongli laughed and said, “Hahaha… maybe so.”
“Rex Lapis has countless Avatars; perhaps there really is such an image.”
Zhongli explained with a smile to Paimon.
“It’s a pity we’ve only seen that particularly huge dragon form, and…”
“I hope the Liyue Qixing can find the real culprit.”
Paimon said with a furrowed brow.
“Then let those in high positions worry about it. We just need to prepare Rex Lapis’s farewell ceremony properly.”
Zhongli said calmly to Lumine and Paimon, crossing his arms.
“So we’ve completed another preparation. What’s next?”
Paimon tilted her head, looking curiously at Zhongli.
“The next thing is…”
Before Zhongli could finish his sentence, a beautiful woman walked over from not far away.
“Lumine, Paimon, Zhongli, you’re all here.”
A sweet voice, paired with jade-like legs and feet, and a beautiful inky white dress.
It couldn’t help but make Lumine and Paimon before her freeze in awe.
“Beautiful big sister, do you know us?”
Paimon looked at the stunningly beautiful woman and asked somewhat puzzled.
“Oh no! I think I forgot to change back.”
“I was too focused absorbing the Origin yesterday and forgot about this.”
Qiu Bai awkwardly rubbed her nose. Now she could only brazenly continue.
Meanwhile, Zhongli stood to the side, his eternally unchanging expression finally showing a hint of surprise.
At this moment, Zhongli widened his eyes, gazing at the figure before him that resembled an Adeptus maiden.
“Um…”
“I… I am…”
Seeing the flustered and graceful figure before him, Zhongli slowly began to explain:
“She is a friend of mine. I have spoken to her about you all, so she knows who you are.”
