Chapter 454 – Afterword – Final Thoughts
Chapter 454 – Afterword – Final Thoughts
It’s finished.
How should I put it? The ending really did fall apart. Many plotlines I, Big G, originally planned never got properly written out.
But the main reason for this was losing my grip on the story during the middle section, which caused the writing to collapse from that point on.
Readers can often spot obvious problems, but the author always senses them first.
Yet noticing a problem is one thing—having the ability to pull things back on track is another matter entirely…
And clearly, I, Big G, didn’t have that ability.
Once the writing falls apart, everything after becomes pure torment.
It truly felt like writing each word was as grim as visiting a grave—utterly exhausting in body and mind.
On top of that, since Big G isn’t a full-time writer, I considered just dropping the novel entirely very early on.
But after much deliberation, I ultimately chose to steel myself and push through.
So you might have noticed that toward the end, Big G was practically flying through the plot at breakneck speed.
Trying my best to tie up every loose end I could.
Still, throughout this process, Big G learned quite a few lessons and made some degree of progress.
Anyway, back to the point—although this book’s ending fell apart, at least it has a proper beginning and end. It’s nothing special, but nothing shameful either. I’d say I just barely preserved my reputation, right?
Finally, let me plug my new book—this is a fresh attempt for me.

Translator’s Note:
The Author dropped the novel they are mentioning here (“This Knight Is Too Perfect”), but i figured keeping it in was the right thing to do as it’s apart of the final thoughts of this story.

I won’t say much since the author seems aware that they dropped the ball with this, but why do Chinese novels do this they write a summary for their books including something that will happen in the future of the book only for it to never happen, like the “in-game” wife the summary mentions I’m pretty sure I know who they were supposed to be but they never get married or in any romantic relationship heck they never even meet again in the future like the summary suggested it’s such baloney.
@Chara Blurbs on Chinese sites are basically ads written before the plot’s locked in, and romance is usually the first thing dropped when reader numbers say it isn’t working, so in this case, the wife hook stayed in the summary long after the author gave up on writing her since romance tends to tank revenue for Xuanhuan novels.
