Chapter 317 – How Can You Stand By and Do Nothing? (Part Two)
Seeing someone step forward, Yu Ting secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Her gaze swept around as if searching for something.
Noticing this, Ye Kuang suddenly ducked his head, clearly afraid of trouble finding him.
Unexpectedly, this abrupt movement made him stand out, instantly catching Yu Ting’s attention.
In a flash, she couldn’t contain her intense anger and let out a high-pitched shriek: “You bastard, get out here right now!”
What was going on?
As one might expect, the onlookers had been utterly captivated by the two fighters, but now they were all bewildered by this sudden outburst.
Even 9566 and Ma Rulei couldn’t help but halt their fight, following the crowd’s gaze.
Yu Ting, seemingly emboldened out of nowhere, strode forward and pushed aside the Autumn Sea Three Young Masters, snorting, “You’re done for!”
Even Wei Tiexiong was amused by her sudden fierceness.
Lang Wanhe couldn’t hold back a teasing remark: “Well now, this girl’s got fire. I like her more and more.”
Hearing this, the crowd struggled to suppress their laughter, though some dared not even smile.
Clearly, they found it hard to believe that a mere woman could undergo such a sudden transformation.
Ye Kuang: “Brothers, I’ll take my leave first.”
Pang Hu, however, clumsily grabbed him and asked in confusion, “Ye Zi, why are you running? That girl seems to really know you.”
Ye Kuang tried to break free and flee, but those words rooted him to the spot.
“Ye Kuang, you son of a bitch! Did you enjoy watching me get humiliated? Does it make you feel good?”
Yu Ting, like an enraged child, raised her voice and cursed: “Let me tell you, if I lose so much as a single hair, you won’t leave this Northern Huan Territory alive!”
Her words stunned everyone present.
Ye Kuang, however, had a few dark lines on his forehead. He shook off Pang Hu’s strong grip and retorted coldly, “Are you done yet? Do we even know each other? I don’t recognize you!”
As he spoke, he stepped forward, emerging from the crowd.
Wei Tiexiong couldn’t help but sneer under his breath: “Another wannabe hero here to save the damsel.”
At the same time, Ye Kuang strode confidently into the center of the scene.
His furious expression was like a gathering storm, brimming with boundless rage.
Seeing Ye Kuang’s frail physique, Lang Wanhe stepped forward to confront him.
Bam!
But then, a deafening crash erupted out of nowhere, and what followed left everyone dumbfounded.
Hiss, hiss, hiss!
The scene fell into an eerie silence, the kind that occurs once in a century, sending chills down everyone’s spines.
No one had seen what happened, but in the blink of an eye, Lang Wanhe had been thrown back into the crowd.
Even Luo Qianhua, the Praying Mantis Hand, couldn’t help but twitch his eyelids, clearly astonished.
Wei Tiexiong: “You…”
To everyone’s shock, before Wei Tiexiong could finish, someone lifted him into the air with one hand.
Immediately after, a voice dripping with killing intent reverberated throughout the hall:
“Even as a thug, you shouldn’t act so arrogantly. Relying on wealth and power behind you? You should first weigh whether you’re even worthy!”And the one who uttered these words was naturally Ye Kuang!
It could then be seen that he casually tossed it aside, his relaxed demeanor as if he had done something trivial.
Seeing this, Yu Ting seemed unwilling to let it go, pressing herself against someone as if glued to them.
She exhaled a fragrant breath and scolded sharply, “Ye Kuang! How could you stand by and do nothing when you saw me being humiliated earlier?!”
Ye Kuang: “I…”
But before he could finish, he was utterly defeated by the tearful, shimmering eyes before him, looking as if he were on the verge of tears himself.
Pang Hu, witnessing this, couldn’t help but mutter to himself, “Is this guy even human? How is it that every beautiful woman seems to have a connection with him?”
Ling Yun, seeing this, smiled and comforted, “Miss, enough now. If you cry too much, you won’t look pretty anymore.”
At this point, Ling Yun shifted his tone and continued, “Besides, if you two have something to discuss, do it later. Let us deal with the trouble at hand first.”
Ye Kuang: “What did you say…”
But just as he spoke, he was pinned in place by two soft forms, unable to suppress the trembling that ran through his body.
Damn, was Yu Ting crying?
She abruptly threw herself into someone’s arms, sobbing uncontrollably, “You piece of shit! I’ve never been treated like this since I was a child—coddled like a fragile treasure, cherished like something precious. Yet you, this bastard, dared to stand by and watch me get humiliated without stepping in to help!”
As she spoke, Yu Ting launched another wave of tearful, sugar-coated attacks.
“I’m adored by everyone, loved by all. Who would have thought I’d run into a piece of garbage like you and suffer such disgrace?”
“Just thinking about it makes me feel wronged. Damn it, no, no—you have to give me an explanation!”
“And if you don’t handle this to my satisfaction, I’ll tell Tie Feng, my dad, and my grandpa… We’ll have a chaotic mess on our hands!”
Hearing this, Ye Kuang froze.
At that moment, he clearly had no thoughts left.
If there was anything at all, it was deep self-blame.
Just then, Wei Tiexiong snapped back to reality and suddenly roared like a mad bull, “Where did this wild brat come from? How dare you lay a hand on the woman I fancy? Have you got a death wish?!”
As soon as these words were spoken, Luo Qianhua, the Praying Mantis Hand, also snapped back to attention. After all, who wouldn’t want to seize such a moment to shine?
In an instant, sensing the aura behind him, Ye Kuang spoke coldly, “Before I lose my temper, kneel and apologize—now!”
Wei Tiexiong, hearing this, laughed in fury, “What the hell are you? How dare you act all high and mighty? Master Luo, do as this brat says. I want to look down on him as he kneels and begs for my forgiveness!”
It must be said, with the ensuing furious roar, the entire hall abruptly fell into a chilling silence.
Only then did they realize that what was to come might not be as easy to handle as before.
Their movements were almost identical, as if rehearsed, as they stepped back in unison, clearly sensing the danger ahead.
On the other side, Ye Kuang gently patted the warm, soft form in his arms, his touch neither too light nor too heavy, perfectly measured—as if to say, “If you want to vent your anger, you have to let me go first…”Little did he know, Yu Ting suddenly started like a frightened rabbit, leaping away and raising her voice in a torrent of angry curses: “What do you think you’re doing with those perverted paws? I’m warning you, earlier… earlier was… was under duress… an involuntary moment of weakness.”
Ye Kuang: “…”
It must be said that only after being stunned for ten breaths, when he turned his head again, his gaze and aura had inexplicably become dangerously intimidating!
