Chapter 35 – The Four Directions Forest Stirs, Revealing True Forms (Five)
Chapter 35 – The Four Directions Forest Stirs, Revealing True Forms (Five)
As the stage gradually descended into chaos, the audience below fell into complete silence.
What appeared to be a confrontation between Ye Kuang and Wan Jinyou was, in reality, a true martial duel between the two!
As they exchanged blows, wind and thunder roared incessantly, astonishing all who heard it.
Ye Kuang tapped the ground with his toes and closed in with lightning speed.
His movements were so swift that he seemed to appear the moment his shadow was glimpsed.
Seeing his opponent closing in, Wan Jinyou generated wind and thunder beneath his feet, launching a fierce offensive to halt Ye Kuang’s advance.
It must be said that their leg techniques appeared strikingly similar, yet upon closer inspection, subtle differences emerged.
On one side, wind and thunder filled the air; on the other, the roar of a dragon gradually rose.
The symphony of wind, thunder, and dragon cries resembled a soaring melody, full of dramatic twists and turns…
Here, Ye Kuang’s leg technique had already taken shape. Though it was still far from mastery, it was undeniable that he could now rival the Tan Leg style and compete on equal footing.
One could only imagine the terrifying potential for growth in his leg skills.
This leg technique was centered on ferocity and grounded in versatility, making Ye Kuang’s movements both unpredictable and overwhelmingly dominant.
This unbelievable reality surpassed anything the onlookers could have imagined.
It was as if they were witnessing the birth of a miracle!
And Ye Kuang firmly believed that as long as he gradually integrated the Dragon Shadow Step into his technique, he would inevitably create a leg skill perfectly suited to himself.
Moreover, he could swiftly analyze his opponent’s moves, adapt them, and refine them for practical use.
His extraordinary comprehension was clearly on display here.
Among the crowd were many experts whose discernment far surpassed that of ordinary people.
Witnessing his rapid progress, they could not help but gasp in awe!
Ye Kuang’s displayed abilities could no longer be described as merely “abnormal.”
Imagine: he could decipher all your techniques while you remained clueless about his—how could one possibly fight under such conditions?
On the scene, no one felt this more deeply than Wan Jinyou. Though driven to frenzy, he had not lost his rationality.
Wan Jinyou contemplated even more, unwilling to give his opponent any further opportunity to grow, for the consequences would be unbearable!
“You think you can use me to sharpen your skills? Don’t look down on me! Aaaah…”
With that, Wan Jinyou erupted into a mad sprint, unleashing a flurry of Springing Leg strikes.
In response, Ye Kuang’s expression remained as calm as before, as if nothing could disturb his tranquil state of mind.
He glided through the arena with the Dragon Shadow Step, weaving left and right, evading attacks with such grace that he seemed untouchable.
Yet, everyone had to admit his speed was truly astonishing!
As the saying goes: In all Martial Studies, only speed is unbreakable!
At this moment, Ye Kuang embodied this principle.
His eyes flashed with sharp intensity. Seeing his opponent’s rhythm in disarray, he knew victory was assured.
Though the leg strikes whistled past his face, his gaze remained sharp as a blade, his expression unwavering.
This was not because he looked down on Wan Jinyou, but because his opponent’s speed paled in comparison.
It was like a child swinging a stick before an adult—ultimately, they were not on the same level.Ye Kuang: “Since you insist that I look down on you, then to show my respect, you’re welcome to try again!”
Before his words faded, he had already halted his movement, choosing to stand facing forward, allowing Wan Jinyou’s Springing Leg to strike at his head.
But then, the scene erupted like a tidal wave of disbelief!
“How is this possible! That kid actually caught Wan Jinyou’s leg blade—has he already seen through Wan Jinyou’s leg technique?”
“I thought he was darting around to find Senior Brother Wan Jinyou’s weakness, but who would have expected this outcome…”
“Exactly, I initially believed he was studying Wan Jinyou’s leg technique. Meeting this guy, I don’t know if it’s Wan Jinyou’s misfortune or… sigh…”
Wan Jinyou overheard the murmurs from all sides, and his entire being seemed on the verge of losing control, clearly burning with fury.
All because the Di Sha Lu Leg Technique, renowned for its ferocity, appeared so feeble in the hands of this young man before him!
When Wan Jinyou tried to retract his right leg, he abruptly found it immovable, unable to budge an inch.
Cold sweat poured out uncontrollably. Only at this moment did Wan Jinyou realize just how terrifying Ye Kuang truly was.
As he watched Ye Kuang’s left arm move slowly, Wan Jinyou’s right leg shifted along with it—a sight that even a fool would understand.
Ye Kuang: “What, can’t believe it?”
With that, he released his left hand and continued, “Here… I’ll give you another chance!”
His overconfident approach couldn’t help but make the spectators below shake their heads in secret, many inevitably thinking this person was far too arrogant.
Even if he coincidentally caught Wan Jinyou’s leg blade the first time, it didn’t mean he could do it every time…
But as his opponent, Wan Jinyou didn’t dare think that way. After readjusting his stance, his heart felt as if it were about to leap out of his throat.
So much so that a thought of defeat began to stir within Wan Jinyou.
For any martial artist, this was simply unimaginable!
This detestable young man, who seemed utterly ordinary, actually concealed immeasurable power beneath his frame.
And Wan Jinyou had already begun to feel fear!
Roar, roar, roar!
At this thought, Wan Jinyou’s face appeared calm, but inwardly, turmoil raged, fueling his rising fury. He roared like a tiger: “I will not lose! The one to be defeated will be you!”
A flash of ferocity passed through his eyes. The belief that he could not lose drove Wan Jinyou to attack again, this time with the fifth and sixth forms of the Di Sha Lu Springing Leg!
Wind and thunder clashed, lightning and shockwaves!
At this moment, Wan Jinyou resembled a starving wolf pouncing on its prey. The fierce aura he exuded caused every martial artist present to widen their eyes in alarm.
That leg was not only terrifyingly fast but, more frighteningly, it struck like a battle-axe. Even before it landed, it gave off an overwhelming sense of inevitability.
Clearly, Wan Jinyou was truly enraged, infusing his leg technique with a trace of killing intent.
Just as everyone watched intently, the ferocious leg-axe came to an abrupt halt!
Boom!!!
Simultaneously, a dull thunderclap resonated overhead, leaving the audience somewhat unable to accept what they were seeing.
That calm and composed figure remained unflinching, his expression resolute, his gaze sharp as a blade, always…
Ye Kuang had once again single-handedly caught another of Wan Jinyou’s leg techniques!Only the hem of his garment stirred without wind, flapping loudly, giving off an aura of profound mystery.
For a moment, Wan Jinyou was utterly dumbfounded, muttering to himself in disbelief, “How can this be? I don’t believe it… I refuse to believe it!”
Ye Kuang: “Still unconvinced? Shall I let you experience it again?”
But then his tone shifted abruptly, his expression turning icy as he shouted, “Just kidding—you won’t get another chance!”
Roar, roar, roar!
He abruptly pulled his arm downward, closing the distance in an instant.
Ye Kuang: “This palm strike is called Dragon Hand Seal!”
Boom!
No sooner had the words left his mouth than his palm struck Wan Jinyou’s chest, unleashing a volcanic surge of power.
Wan Jinyou was sent flying by the immense force, crashing against a steel pillar.
Ye Kuang: “This leg technique is called Dragon Shadow Kick!”
As he spoke, he materialized before his opponent, sweeping his leg out like a blade.
Thud!
Wan Jinyou, who had just risen, was struck by the leg strike and pinned against the steel pillar.
Ye Kuang: “And this fist technique is called Wind Thunder Unrivaled!”
Whoosh, boom, boom…
His fists suddenly erupted in rapid Cannon Blasts, relentless as a storm, too fast for the eye to follow.
The sound of flesh-impacting blows was chilling to the bone…
Wan Jinyou managed to block three punches before being overwhelmed by the endless barrage.
Only when Ye Kuang’s fist slammed into the steel pillar, shaking the entire Arena with a deafening hum, did the scene fall into dead silence…
Referee: “The winner—Ye Kuang!!!”
Upon hearing the result, Wan Jinyou felt his strength drain away. He tried several times to stand but collapsed weakly each time.
His once-proud leg techniques had been utterly defeated. In that moment, Wan Jinyou’s heart turned to ashes; he wept bitterly, struggling to accept this harsh reality!
Seeing his opponent crumble after a single loss, Ye Kuang felt genuine anger.
Though he didn’t fully grasp the deeper meaning of Martial Arts, he still held a heart devoted to its pursuit.
“Do you know why you lost? You lack the Martial Virtue that every practitioner should possess. First, you incited Xiao Jiang, and now, after one defeat, you’ve lost the courage and fearless spirit to face future challenges. In our final exchange, it wasn’t that your strength was insufficient—it was that I was simply stronger than you!” Ye Kuang declared.
Before Wan Jinyou could deny it, Ye Kuang continued, “If you become this despondent after a single loss, you are unworthy of being my opponent and unfit to call yourself a Martial Arts master!”
With that, he turned and strode off the Arena, neither staying to watch the remaining matches nor acknowledging the countless spectators left behind.
Lying on the platform, Wan Jinyou painfully turned his head, his swollen eyes widening as he, like the audience, silently watched the retreating figure.
Only when Ye Kuang vanished from sight did the entire venue erupt in uproar.
They couldn’t understand why Ye Kuang had left so abruptly or what he had said to Wan Jinyou.
The audience buzzed with heated debates.
Yet, in that moment, Wan Jinyou was gripped by an unprecedented fear. He refused to accept reality, but even more, he refused to accept that he might truly be—as someone had said—unworthy of being an opponent and unfit to be a Martial Arts master. If so, what did that make Wan Jinyou?
A coward? It wasn’t until the medical staff carried him off the Arena that Wan Jinyou finally snapped out of his daze, still haunted by the words Ye Kuang had spoken.
No sorrow is greater than a withered heart!
Perhaps in the days to come, Wan Jinyou would remain as despondent as a walking corpse…
