Chapter 381 – Storming the Fire Scene to Give Guidance

“Nothing beats the air back home—so fresh and humid, nourishing my fragile soul to grow strong and healthy.”

Ye Kuang took a deep breath of the familiar earthy scent, then couldn’t help but spout nonsense in his local dialect.

Along the way, he observed everything with wide-eyed curiosity. Watching a village dog lift its hind leg left him staring blankly, nearly inspiring him to film a close-up shot. When he saw the picturesque scenery of blooming white flowers, he whistled cheekily, instantly drawing waves of disdainful glares.

It could be said that viewing things from different angles could evoke entirely unique feelings.

The flowers and grass, the neon lights and revelry—all now appeared with striking clarity and definition.

Yet within the fragrant air, a scorched, acrid smell began to emerge.

Scorched?

At this thought, Ye Kuang’s mind short-circuited briefly, clearly puzzled.

“Woo… woo… woo woo…”

Just then, the warning sirens grew louder, approaching from afar, as three fiery-red fire engines sped past him.

“Is there a fire up ahead?” Ye Kuang murmured to himself.

A mile away, thick, billowing smoke was visible in the sky, coiling like a black dragon. The air was filled with the distant shouts of a panicked crowd.

“Is anyone still inside?”

“I don’t know, but one severely burned victim was already rescued and sent to the nearest hospital.”

“Does anyone hear that? Is that a child crying? Quick, request backup from other districts and organize a professional rescue team immediately!”

“Please also watch my luggage, thank you.”

“Received!” Instantly, the secretary heard another command and reflexively responded, then couldn’t hide his confusion. “Wait, who was talking to me just now?”

But there was no one around. The secretary, already unsettled, was now utterly bewildered by the sudden voice.

Unbeknownst to him, a suitcase and several bags had appeared beside him.

Inside the fire scene.

Multiple water hoses spat out Wandering Dragons, weaving back and forth, crisscrossing above and below.

As the smoke cleared, fiery-red figures emerged, charging fearlessly into the heart of the blaze.

At that moment, Ye Kuang followed behind these heroes, shouting urgently, “There’s someone in the dilapidated room on the right front! And another in the metal box behind it… Be careful! The iron pillar ahead won’t hold much longer—stay away!”

“Who the hell are you? Don’t you know it’s dangerous here? Get out!”

“Brother, I know you’re anxious, but I’m telling the truth. You really can’t go any further up ahead.”

“We’re the professionals here. You, get out now!!”

Bang! Clang!

But then, a loud crash erupted in front of the team, drawing horrified stares from everyone.

“Captain, the iron pillar ahead really collapsed! What do we do now?”

“Stay calm! Stay calm! Focus all water hoses on one spot. If we extinguish the fire source ahead, the rest won’t be a problem.”

“Received! Teams One, Two, and Three, follow me!!”For a moment, the surroundings were veiled in hazy flames, with visibility completely obscured ahead. It was then that the team leader suddenly grasped the crux of the situation. Wheeling around, he was stunned to discover the young man standing unscathed amidst the inferno.

Being sharp-witted, the leader couldn’t help but let his imagination run wild. He quickly softened his tone and said, “My apologies, young man. The situation was critical earlier, and I might have spoken too harshly.”

Meanwhile, from the two locations Ye Kuang had pointed out, critically injured survivors were being rescued one after another. This filled everyone on the scene with inexplicable excitement, their hopeful gazes fixed intently on the man who stood before them like a god of fire.

The leader barked, “Why are you all standing around? Get them out of here, now!”

“Ah, yes, right away!”

“You should leave too. This place is about to collapse,” Ye Kuang suddenly exclaimed, his expression shifting abruptly.

Hearing this, the leader had no intention of staying a second longer. But after taking only a few steps, he spun around and roared, “From this moment on, everyone follows his orders! Full evacuation! Retreat with me!”

“Watch out, Leader!!”

“What?”

To his horror, the leader looked up just in time to see the entire ceiling crashing down.

“What the hell? Is this for real?”

“Leader!!”

Yet, in the blink of an eye—

“Damn it!” Ye Kuang cursed under his breath as he noticed the danger. His palms suddenly blazed with a brilliant Golden Radiance.

To the others, the sound that followed was like the collective roar of countless savage beasts.

Roar! Roar! Roar!

“What the hell was that sound just now?”

“A tiger? But where would a wild animal come from here?”

“Am I dreaming? It seemed to come from that kid!!”

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Amidst the thunderous echoes ringing in their ears, strands of Golden Radiance surged and swelled, transforming into Wandering Dragons that blasted the collapsing ceiling to pieces.

In that instant, countless fragments of rubble were sent flying, exploding one after another in a spectacle as magnificent as endless fireworks bursting into brilliant colors.

Beneath this seemingly breathtaking display, however, lurked countless lethal dangers.

Stunned gazes were everywhere as dozens of figures in fiery red uniforms erupted into astonished exclamations.

Hearing the continuous waves of uproar, Ye Kuang couldn’t help but turn and snap at the dumbstruck leader, “Why are you still standing there? Remember your duty and responsibility!”

“Ah, oh, right. Understood,” the leader replied, snapping back to reality.

He then regained his earlier authoritative demeanor and scolded, “What are you all staring at? Huh! Trying to make a fool out of your leader? I’m warning you—erase everything you just saw from your memory, or else… hmph…”

It was only at this moment that Ye Kuang’s eyes finally showed a hint of relief as he watched these crimson angels retreat from the building one by one.

As the last figure vanished from sight, his gaze turned grave, fixed intently on the ceiling.

Outside, chaos had erupted completely!

“What are you all doing? How could you come out without that young hero?”

“Sir, you can’t blame the leader. That kid… he’s simply not human.”

“Shut up, Xiao Liu.””You shut up! You’re Xiao Liu, right? You tell me—describe everything that happened inside the fire scene in detail. What exactly occurred?”

Little did anyone know, as this furious roar of reprimand fell, the building’s window ledge suddenly exploded.

Accompanied by a black dragon sweeping across the sky, the shattered debris shot into the air, only to collectively rain back down.

“Protect His Excellency!”

“Hey, what’s going on? How did all this glass suddenly turn to dust?”

“Ah, get out of the way! Quickly organize a team to rescue that young hero!”

Secretary: “Your Excellency, that young hero you mentioned just took his luggage…”

“Took what luggage? Are you mistaken? What kind of time is this? Speak clearly!”

“Well… that young hero grabbed his luggage and ran off earlier.”

“What? Ran off? Are you joking with me…”

“…”
