Chapter 30 – Mama’s Boy Guo Dong

Chapter 30 – Mama’s Boy Guo Dong

A few minutes later, Su Ming took the initiative to reveal herself: “Hey, mama’s boy, hold it right there!”

The moment Guo Dong heard “mama’s boy,” he flew into a rage: “You’re the damn mama’s boy! Go to hell!”

Su Ming was startled—she hadn’t expected Guo Dong to actually be a mama’s boy. She’d just said it offhandedly; it couldn’t actually be true, could it?

Looking at how red-hot Guo Dong’s face was, it didn’t seem fake…

Guo Dong commanded over a dozen speed-type spirit beasts to charge at Su Ming, since most of them were still assaulting the ghost domain, and the only one he could see was Su Ming alone.

Su Ming smiled. Just as the spirit beasts were about to reach her, her body flickered and vanished.

Guo Dong’s heart trembled. It seemed the intelligence was right—Su Ming was a god within the ghost domain. She could do anything she wanted, as long as she had enough spiritual power…

At that moment, Guo Dong also cursed himself inwardly for carelessly stepping into this place. If not for the fact that he knew Su Ming was born unable to cultivate and lacked the spiritual power to fully mobilize the ghost domain, he could die at any moment.

Su Ming sent a telepathic message to the Chef Ghost Leader: “Gather all your underlings together in that cave. The moment I return, channel your ghostly qi into me immediately—concentrate all of it into my body, and I can unleash power on par with the Fourth Realm.”

The Blood Soul Ghost warned with concern: “Master, if you forcibly absorb ghostly qi without being able to cultivate, it will cause irreversible damage to your body.”

Su Ming was well aware of the danger, but she had no choice. To deal with Guo Dong, this was the only way—after all, this time she intended to kill him.

Guo Dong kept his guard up, scanning his surroundings. In the entire team, only he and the soul-binding ghost had independent consciousness, and he didn’t trust the soul-binding ghost—he only believed in himself.

Su Ming laid out the plan: “I’ll use myself as bait to lure Guo Dong in. The moment he or any ordinary spirit beast comes out, Blood Soul and Old Turtle, you two go deal with the ones attacking the ghost domain.”

The Blood Soul Ghost and Ice Crystal Turtle nodded, but the Blood Soul Ghost had a question:

“How do we deal with the Azure Dragon and White Tiger? And what about the soul-binding ghost?”

Su Ming: “My guess right now is that someone wants to mess with me through the soul-binding ghost. I suspect it’s Shi Zhen’s father getting revenge. But if it were just revenge, it shouldn’t go this far. The soul-binding ghost has a skill for torturing souls. I think the Heavenly Saint Sect or the military might still suspect I have the Vermilion Bird.”

Vermilion Bird: “Master, now that we’re in the ghost domain, can I make a move?”

Su Ming: “You can’t act directly. I suspect the outside world has already started livestreaming the ghost domain, but since the ghost domain isn’t the actual scene, the footage won’t be that clear. You can give me your flames, and I’ll release them.”

Vermilion Bird worried: “Master, a mortal body cannot withstand my flames. Would that…”

Su Ming: “It’s fine. The ghostly qi will protect me, and I only need a little. Too much would be too conspicuous.”

Then the Chef Ghost Leader asked: “What about me?”

Su Ming: “In a moment, the Sword Ghost will have absorbed enough ghostly qi to temporarily maintain the level of the Ninth Realm. He’ll hold off the Pseudo-Azure Dragon and Pseudo-White Tiger. As for you, just follow me.”

After each received their mission, everyone began busily preparing for departure. Just then, Su Ming suddenly called over the Chef Ghost Leader’s underlings and told them to brew a pot of soup.

“What?” The chef ghosts looked at Su Ming with puzzled expressions, clearly confused by this sudden request.

Su Ming smiled slightly at this and explained, “There’s nothing special required—just let your nature run wild. Throw whatever you want into the pot to make the soup.”

Hearing this, they were even more confused, muttering inwardly, “What kind of requirement is that supposed to be?”

But since it was the boss’s order, they didn’t dare ask too many questions and simply obeyed.

Su Ming hurled a pot forcefully toward Guo Dong, but the Pseudo-Azure Dragon swatted it away with a single flick of its tail.

Guo Dong scoffed, “With such petty tricks, don’t—huh?”

Following the direction the pot had flown from, Guo Dong looked toward a mountain, on which were written the three big characters “Mama’s Boy.” To prevent the audience from not understanding, it was annotated in over a dozen languages, including English and Japanese.

Guo Dong cursed loudly, “You (bleep————)”

Ten minutes of bleeping left the audience stunned, and the four principals were secretly laughing. After all, the sect master was Guo Dong’s mother—wasn’t this indirectly insulting her too?

Still, she was the sect master after all. Though she didn’t lose her composure, she resolved to make Su Ming pay for real in the future…

Back to the battlefield, Guo Dong was so furious he was gasping for breath. He never expected Su Ming to dare insult him on a national livestream. Wasn’t Su Ming afraid of being scolded by the audience?

“Serves him right! This is what happens when you break the rules—he deserves a good scolding.”

“Bro, bro, what rules did he break?”

“Summoning this many spirit beasts—isn’t that breaking the rules?”

“He’s the saint of the Heavenly Saint Sect. What’s wrong with a little privilege? Don’t badmouth our brother…”

“Who would’ve thought the dignified saint is actually a mama’s boy? I heard the sect master is his mother.”

“I think the sect master still has her charm.”

“Calm down, person upstairs…”

Su Ming appeared. At this moment, the camera cut directly to Su Ming hovering in the sky, as majestic as a deity.

Su Ming: “You idiot, why don’t you hurry up and call me daddy? Do you have to listen to your mommy’s every word?”

Guo Dong stood in place, a bewildered expression on his face. He widened his eyes, staring at Su Ming in the distance, his heart full of confusion.

Because the distance was simply too great, he couldn’t hear what Su Ming was saying at all. He could only see Su Ming’s mouth moving, but the sound seemed blocked by an invisible barrier.

Just then, Su Ming seemed to notice the problem as well. After a brief moment of thought, he pulled out a giant megaphone from behind him.

He raised the megaphone to his mouth, faced Guo Dong’s direction, and loudly repeated what he had just said.

However, this move instantly turned the previously serious scene into something comical.

The giant megaphone in Su Ming’s hand formed a stark contrast with his earlier deity-like majestic image, making it hard not to laugh.

Especially after he finished speaking, that sense of majesty vanished without a trace, replaced by an inexplicable sense of humor.

By now, the audience was laughing so hard they were doubling over. They never expected this match to be so hilarious.

The originally tense and intense atmosphere was shattered in an instant, replaced by an ocean of joy.

People pointed at Su Ming and his giant megaphone, laughing until tears nearly streamed down their faces.

Guo Dong commanded the Pseudo-Azure Dragon in a hoarse, desperate voice: “Kill him!”

Su Ming’s heart skipped a beat. He had assumed Guo Dong would come personally, or that his underlings would charge forward. He hadn’t expected that he’d somehow angered the man enough to make the Pseudo-Azure Dragon take the field itself.

Su Ming was dumbfounded: “WQ, Sword Ghost hasn’t recovered yet…”

Under Su Ming’s control, countless towering mountains, like enraged beasts, roared as they transformed into boulders and surged overwhelmingly toward the Pseudo-Azure Dragon.

However, the Pseudo-Azure Dragon effortlessly used the power of thunder to shatter the boulders into fine dust.

As the dust settled, Su Ming vanished from the spot in an instant, like a phantom.

Guo Dong: “Truly troublesome indeed. It seems we need to get out of here quickly.”

Su Ming assessed the situation, recalling that his father had mentioned wanting to capture the Pseudo-Azure Dragon and the True Black Tortoise. So taking down the White Tiger first might be the best course of action.
