Chapter 22: Giant Goblin
Chapter 22: Giant Goblin
“What’s wrong, can’t move your feet when you see a beauty?”
Xiong Da gave Xiong Er a very disdainful look.
“None of your business!”
Xiong Er began frantically waving at the Cat Girl on the rock.
The Cat Girl looked down at the crowd with an extremely cold expression. Seeing Xiong Da and the other two, she directly unleashed a Wind Blade from a distance.
Xiong Er, frightened, quickly pulled the Storm Holy Wolf and hid behind Xiong Batian.
“Kill them!”
The Cat Girl pointed at the group, coldly issuing the command.
“Little kitten, why are you so unfriendly!”
Xiong Da quickly led Xiong Batian to run back. With so many Wind Demon Panthers, they couldn’t easily handle them. If they stayed to fight, even if they didn’t die, they’d be stripped of a layer of skin.
From chasing the Wind Demon Panthers to their nest at the beginning, to now being chased by the Wind Demon Panthers back into the Forest. However, in terms of speed, the Wind Demon Panthers were clearly somewhat inferior to the Storm Holy Wolf. In no time, they were left far behind without a trace.
“What should we do? Everyone just starts fighting as soon as they meet, there’s no way to communicate at all. But that little kitten is so cute, I wouldn’t mind being hit by her!”
Xiong Er was somewhat infatuated with the Cat-type Demonkin from earlier. Although she was still troubled about how to complete the Divine Tree’s endless tasks, the Cat Girl’s figure attracted her attention even more.
“Chen Dabai, you’re really a scumbag, switching affections so quickly!”
“Xiong Da, please, if you were still a woman, I’d definitely be loyal to you without a doubt. But unfortunately, I don’t like fencing.”
Xiong Da didn’t mind Xiong Er’s words, saying with a mischievous smile.
“You don’t have a sword now either. I’m the one with the superior sword. Why don’t you surrender quickly!”
Faced with Xiong Da’s joke, Xiong Er was truly heartbroken. She never expected her second brother to disappear before he could even show his might. Even her girlfriend had turned into a buddy. She was really too upset.
Only the Cat Girl could ease the pain in her heart.
They had only run for a short while when Xiong Da and the others heard the sound of fighting coming from behind again.
“It seems the kitties have encountered enemies again. Let’s go back and help them.”
At this moment, Xiong Er became very proactive, immediately turning around and rushing back to the Wind Demon Panther gathering spot from earlier.
—
“You’re saying those strange people from earlier didn’t attack you, but instead helped you defeat the Goblins?”
The white Cat Girl was listening to her subordinate’s report, pondering some issues.
But just then, she heard a piercing roar—the sound of enemies attacking again.
Without much hesitation, she led the Wind Demon Panthers to support the direction of the battle.
This time, the Goblins brought many troops. Among them, there were five Giant Goblins with strength comparable to hers, and about 500 ordinary Goblins.
It seemed the Goblins intended to annihilate their Wind Demon Panther pack today. But there was nothing she could do; the Goblin Legion had already surrounded the nearby area. Now, they could only fight to the death.
Two Giant Goblins looked at the Cat Girl with hunger and lust, their lecherous faces charging toward her.
They held wooden clubs the size of tree trunks in their hands, taking turns swinging the giant clubs at the Cat Girl.
Relying on agile movements and a nimble body, the Cat Girl dodged the Giant Goblins’ attacks while also finding opportunities to counterattack with Wind Blades.
Although a single Wind Blade could leave a terrifying gash on a Giant Goblin, it was unable to deliver a fatal blow.
In battles against them, Cat Girl could only rely on agile movements, using Wind Blades or her sharp claws to wear them down, unable to defeat them quickly.
But these 500 Goblins, along with three Giant Goblins, had already begun slaughtering the Leopard Pack. Any Wind Demon Panther ensnared by Goblins would face the Giant Goblins’ massive wooden clubs, which could shatter its body with a single blow.
The agonized cries of the Wind Demon Panthers and the splatter of blood began to echo through the Forest, while chaotic Wind Blades mixed with gore stained the nearby woods with blood.
Cat Girl, fighting two Giant Goblins, felt her resolve wavering. Too many of her companions had fallen to the Goblins, and their screams unsettled her.
Just as she dodged a club, she saw the blood of a Wind Demon Panther splatter before her. In that moment of hesitation, another Giant Goblin’s club struck her squarely in the back.
The searing pain from the impact momentarily robbed her of thought, and her body was sent flying over ten meters, tumbling several times before collapsing into a thicket.
A stream of blood spilled from Cat Girl’s mouth.
She could no longer afford to slowly wear down the two Giant Goblins. If this continued, more of her companions would be slaughtered by the other three Giant Goblins.
Wind Demon Panthers held an advantage against ordinary Goblins, but against the higher-tier Giant Goblins, they struggled to hold their ground.
Cat Girl wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and increased her speed. She needed to seize an opportunity to use a more powerful Skill, quickly eliminate these foes, and rush to aid the other Wind Demon Panthers.
Faced with Cat Girl’s frenzied assault, the two Giant Goblins found it difficult to defend themselves, their bodies accumulating claw marks and bleeding profusely.
The two Giant Goblins roared into the air, generating shockwaves that reverberated through the atmosphere, causing Cat Girl’s ears to bleed.
Simultaneously, the other three Giant Goblins turned their heads, preparing to join forces against this little Cat Girl.
Surrounded by five Giant Goblins, Cat Girl found herself struggling to hold her ground.
A look of distress crossed her face as she resigned herself to the likelihood of meeting her end here today.
The despair in her eyes was unbearable. She had led her pack for so long—was it all going to end today? If she were defeated, she would surely become a breeding tool for the Goblins, her limbs broken, leaving her unable to even seek death.
At this thought, she felt she could no longer lead the Wind Demon Panther pack in this Forest. Her duty was nearly over.
Cat Girl raised her sharp claws, aiming them directly at her own temple.
“Little kitty, don’t do anything rash!”
A Maiden’s figure, even more slender than Cat Girl’s, appeared before her like a flash of lightning. Xiong Er grabbed Cat Girl’s hands.
With Wind Control and Thunder Entanglement, enhanced by an additional Spirit Magic to boost her speed, she swiftly pulled Cat Girl into a small grove.
That lightning-like figure not only whisked Cat Girl away in an instant but also left behind streaks of lightning that rained down furiously upon the Giant Goblins.
The Giant Goblin that was originally preparing to attack Cat Girl was suddenly struck by lightning, its entire body paralyzed and unable to move, watching helplessly as Cat Girl was snatched away by someone else in an instant.
The Giant Goblin’s fury was visibly etched on its face, a terrifying and hideous sight.
“You get to play the hero and show off, leaving these big guys for us—you really know how to think, Chen Dabai!”
Xiong Da immediately activated Berserk, swinging his fists and pummeling the electrified Giant Goblin with blow after blow.
Xiong Batian also rushed over, her crimson muscles seemingly still burning, visible steam rising from her skin. With a single swing of her club, she struck a Giant Goblin.
The blow shattered the Giant Goblin’s skull like a watermelon, splattering white and red fragments all over the ground.
