Chapter 57: Reward

Chapter 57: Reward

On Xiong Batian’s side, after Zhai Guangyi was teleported away, they also needed to prepare to set off and return to the side of Lord Divine Tree.

The former Black Bear Clan Leader’s arms had been fractured due to his bloody battle with Xiong Batian. However, through the Magic Mirror, Xiong Batian requested Lord Divine Tree to intervene and heal him, successfully restoring his arms.

Within the Black Bear Clan, Healing Magic was an extremely rare thing. Typically, wounds were simply licked with the tongue and that was it. If there were healing items left behind by Human Adventurers, they could be used when a clan member was critically ill, but for injuries like fractures, even healing items were ineffective.

Yet the mirror in Xiong Batian’s hands could actually help him restore his arms to their original state, as if it were a blessing from a Deity.

Watching his hands miraculously healed, the former Black Bear Clan Leader looked at Xiong Batian with gratitude. This woman, who was clearly so powerful, was so merciful to him, making him wonder if his charm was perhaps a bit too overwhelming.

Feicui watched the Magic Power flowing from the Magic Mirror and silently marveled, though it was a pity he wasn’t skilled in Healing Magic.

After completing the healing, Xiong Batian didn’t pay much more attention to the former Black Bear Clan Leader. She put away the Magic Mirror, picked up her Spiked Club, and led the group, preparing to set off.

Worried about Lord Divine Tree’s safety, Xiong Batian didn’t plan to make many stops along the way. She instructed the Black Bears to pack up and prepare to depart.

Within a few minutes after Zhai Guangyi was teleported away, Xiong Er used the Magic Mirror to contact him, ensuring he was safe. After receiving confirmation, Xiong Er also felt relieved and followed Xiong Batian on the return journey.

Frenzied Black Bears were a race skilled in combat. Although they weren’t particularly agile in battle, their full-speed running pace was not to be underestimated.

This time, the Frenzied Black Bears moved out in full force, like a beast tide. Hundreds of massive Black Bears charged wildly Inside the Forest. Even the ground seemed to tremble, and the deafening sound of footsteps echoed continuously through the Forest. Many Magical Beasts that witnessed this sight would generally choose to steer clear.

However, there were always some exceptions among Magical Beasts—namely, the Goblin army heading toward Zhai Guangyi’s direction. Although they had scattered, they were all moving from the west toward the northern mountains. There were always a few unlucky ones who happened to run into Xiong Batian and her group of Magical Beasts on their return journey.

Xiong Batian, of course, wouldn’t let them go. She eliminated every Goblin she encountered. Many of these Goblins were quite scattered, and it was common to come across a small unit about once every quarter of an hour, each led by two Giant Goblins with about a dozen smaller Goblins.

A small unit like this could be cleared out by Qiqi alone. In the past, this might not have been possible.

Xiong Batian had no reason not to take these experience packs that came to her doorstep. Even after encountering so many Goblins, she still hadn’t come across a single powerful Demon Human.

Xiong Batian estimated that they had all gone to pursue Zhai Guangyi. Once she successfully led these Frenzied Black Bears back to Lord Divine Tree, she would return to support Zhai Guangyi, who had been teleported away.

The Frenzied Black Bears’ stamina indeed couldn’t compare to that of the Storm Holy Wolf. A journey that would have taken two days took Xiong Batian and her group a full four days, including one night of non-stop walking, before they finally brought the Black Bears within the protective range of Lord Divine Tree.

Along the way, Feicui kept urging Xiong Batian and the others, which was why they were traveling even at night. He no longer had the mind to care for those Frenzied Black Bears. In the past, he would have tried to develop them further.

Upon reaching their destination, Feicui gazed at the towering Spirit King Tree, and scenes of life under the protection of Lord Elven Divine Tree suddenly flashed through his mind, bearing some resemblance to the sight before him.

The moment they arrived, Xiong Er and Qiqi both breathed a sigh of relief, clearly showing their deep trust in the shelter provided by the Spirit King Tree.

“It truly is a Spirit King Tree! May I ask, are you the contingency left behind by Lord Divine Tree?”

In response, only a gentle breeze brushed past.

In truth, Sylph didn’t know how best to respond to him, nor could she actually respond to Feicui. She could only communicate with the Magical Beasts she had Blessed, unable to interact directly with the outside world.

Moreover, engaging in too much conversation with Feicui risked exposing the fact that she was actually Zhai Guangyi. It was better to remain silent and play the role of an expert, letting him figure things out on his own.

Ignoring Feicui for now, Sylph needed to demonstrate her strength to the newly arrived black bears, letting them see just how excellent the benefits of joining her “company” were.

First, she would reward Xiong Batian and the others with Skill Points. According to the System, this involved extracting her own Skill Points and directly transferring them to them.

Skill Points were essentially the power of the soul and could only be granted to units Blessed by Zhai Guangyi, as they were all connected to his soul. She extracted 300 Skill Points and distributed them equally among Xiong Er, Qiqi, and Xiong Batian.

While the Frenzied Black Bears remained unaware, Feicui could sense it—the Spirit King Tree was actually sharing soul energy with Xiong Batian and the other two. How could this Spirit King Tree perform such an extraordinary feat?

It was important to understand that the soul was the most mysterious energy in this World, and almost no one could manipulate it with such precision. Even the former Lord Elven Divine Tree couldn’t achieve such accuracy.

Yet this Spirit King Tree could divide soul energy into three perfectly equal portions—neither more nor less—and even help Xiong Batian and the others quickly assimilate that energy, with a precision that was downright chilling.

Of course, all these operations were carried out by the System. Sylph herself lacked such capabilities.

Next came the distribution of Blue Quality weapons. Xiong Batian already had a weapon, so she could be given a suitable piece of Equipment. As for Qiqi and Xiong Er, they would each receive a weapon.

For Xiong Er, it was a dagger. Her movement speed was fast, and her close-combat abilities were strong, but her attack power was somewhat lacking. A close-quarters weapon like this suited her perfectly, and the powerful lightning enchantment would also provide a significant boost.

Qiqi already had sharp claws as weapons, and Human weapons didn’t seem to suit her well. Instead, she was given a set of Equipment that provided defensive bonuses, reducing the risk of sudden death.

The same logic applied to Xiong Batian. She had been wearing animal hide clothing for a long time, which somewhat affected her prestige. As the powerhouse of the group, she deserved a stylish new outfit. Xiong Batian was a strength-based fighter with solid defense but somewhat lacking in speed, so she was given a piece of Equipment that enhanced her speed, which Sylph then bestowed upon her.

Three sets of Blue Quality equipment materialized out of thin air, slowly descending into the hands of the three individuals. Xiong Batian and the others had already witnessed the scene of the Lord Divine Tree bestowing equipment, so they were not particularly astonished.

Feicui, however, was quite surprised. This Spirit King Tree was rather unusual—how could it generate equipment out of nowhere? Moreover, the quality of these items was exceptionally high. If placed in Human Society, it would likely be difficult to craft them without the skill level of a Great Master.

Whether it was Xiong Er’s dagger or the equipment for Xiong Batian and Qiqi, all came with excellent Attribute Bonuses, and they were specifically tailored to address their individual weaknesses. Even the clothing fit perfectly—it was truly astounding.
