Chapter 151 – Teucer

Chapter 151 – Teucer

During their sightseeing journey, Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue finally arrived near Lingju Pass.

“Be careful, ladies.”

“Now is not a good time for sightseeing.”

Just as Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue were about to continue forward, a Millelith soldier blocked their path.

“Has something happened?”

Qiu Xue looked at the Millelith soldier’s expression and asked with a smile.

“Yes, indeed, miss. Headquarters has received multiple eyewitness reports.”

“My name is Dai Pai. There are some Ruin Guards wandering around in areas where they shouldn’t be.”

The Millelith soldier named Dai Pai, holding a White Tassel in his hand, warned Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue in front of him.

“The drill instructor is investigating the source of these ancient machines.”

“He discovered that they seem to have suddenly emerged from a ruin.”

Dai Pai glanced at Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue and continued.

“Is that so?”

“But why would they come out of the ruins?”

Qiu Xue looked at Dai Pai with her beautiful eyes and asked somewhat puzzled.

“I don’t know. We have too little information.”

“Besides, that ruin is eerie, and from time to time, there are clattering sounds coming from inside.”

“Until headquarters approves, we are not allowed to enter and explore.”

Dai Pai looked at the two beautiful women in front of him and explained slowly.

“It’s indeed better to be cautious.”

Qiu Yue looked at the Millelith soldier in front of her and said with a smile.

“In any case, the best strategy for now is to increase patrols.”

“To avoid involving ordinary civilians.”

Dai Pai surveyed the surroundings, then turned his head and spoke to Qiu Xue and the other.

“Can we sisters help?”

Qiu Xue looked at the Millelith soldier in front of her and said with a smile.

“I greatly appreciate your kindness, ladies.”

“But… if you were to get into trouble, it wouldn’t be worth it…”

The Millelith soldier looked at the two beautiful and seemingly defenseless women in front of him. How could he let them take risks?

“I’ve heard Mr. Zhongli talk about those Ruin Guards.”

“They pose no threat to me, don’t worry.”

Qiu Yue looked at the somewhat concerned Millelith soldier and nodded with a smile.

“Although this may sound impolite.”

“My sister could defeat a hundred of you.”

Qiu Yue looked at the Millelith soldier in front of her and explained slowly.

“Hahaha, young people are quite confident!”

“In that case…”

The Millelith soldier looked at the two beautiful women in front of him.

He hesitated a bit; these two ladies didn’t seem like the type who could fight at all.

“Please go ahead.”

Qiu Xue looked at the hesitant Millelith soldier and said with a smile.

“Sigh, alright then. Remember to be careful.”

“I previously discovered some Ruin Guards on the hillside. I was busy warning passersby and haven’t had time to investigate yet…”

The Millelith soldier’s gaze turned toward an uphill path.

Then he turned his head and slowly spoke to Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue.

“Leave it to us.”

Qiu Xue placed her jade-like hand over her chest and said with a smile.

“Tenacity of the Millelith, unshakable as mountains!”

“I salute you, ladies!”

“After I finish this patrol, I will come back to meet up with you.”

The Millelith soldier, holding the White Tassel, struck the stone slab on the ground and spoke respectfully to the Qiu sisters in front of him.

“Let’s go, Qiu Yue.”

Qiu Xue held Qiu Yue’s hand as they walked up the hillside.

The Millelith soldier watched their retreating figures and sighed.

“My daughter is about their age too.”

“I hope they stay safe.”

The Millelith soldier shook his head, gripped his White Tassel, and headed in another direction.

Following the Ruin Guard’s footprints, Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue found one of the machines.

The Ruin Guard beeped twice before slowly rising to its feet.

Upon seeing the two delicate women before it, it launched several missiles toward Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue.

Qiu Yue pointed a slender finger, and a jet-black beam resembling a laser instantly pierced through the Ruin Guard’s head.

With a wave of her hand, Qiu Xue dissipated the Ruin Guard’s missiles.

“Hehe, Mr. Zhongli taught me that.”

“The Ruin Guard’s head is its weak point.”

Qiu Yue looked at the fallen Ruin Guard, then turned to Qiu Xue with a smile.

“It seems Morax.”

“has put quite some effort into teaching you about Teyvat.”

Qiu Xue gazed at the adorable Qiu Yue and smiled.

“I think I sense someone over there.”

“Right in that direction.”

Qiu Yue pointed with her delicate finger in a certain direction, smiling at Qiu Xue.

“Let’s go take a look.”

“But the Millelith warned us—there shouldn’t be any passersby in this area.”

Qiu Xue touched her chin thoughtfully, murmuring to herself.

Then Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue headed in that direction.

What came into view was a child dressed in clothing unlike that of Liyue.

He was crouched on the ground, curiously touching the Ruin Guard before him.

“Isn’t that… Teucer?”

“Childe’s younger brother?”

Qiu Xue looked at the little boy crouching on the ground, somewhat surprised.

Only now did she remember—this seemed to be part of Childe’s story quest.

“Two pretty big sisters, look!”

“It’s so big and so cool!”

Teucer noticed Qiu Xue and Qiu Yue standing nearby, stood up, and exclaimed excitedly.

“He’s a very cute child.”

“How old are you, little one?”

Qiu Yue walked over with graceful steps, crouched down, and gently patted Teucer’s head.

“Big sister, I’m six years old.”

“Hehe, you’re really pretty.”

Teucer looked at Qiu Yue’s stunning face and smiled.

“This is the first time I’ve seen one up close like this.”

“Do you know what it is?”

Teucer glanced back at the Ruin Guard, scratched his head, and asked the sisters with a smile.

Teucer wore something resembling earmuffs, fluffy and soft.

His eyes were blue, and his hair was orange—traits quite similar to Childe’s.

“Little one, this is a Ruin Guard that has lost its power.”

“It’s very dangerous.”

Qiu Yue patted Teucer’s head and explained gently.

“Wrong, wrong! What Ruin Guard?”

“Its name is Cyclops!”

Teucer retorted to Qiu Yue.

“Cyclops?”

“There’s such a cute name for it?”

Qiu Yue looked at Teucer, who had just contradicted her, then turned to Qiu Xue behind her with a puzzled expression.

“Hmm… I suppose there is.”

“Children’s hearts are very pure.”

Qiu Xue looked at Qiu Yue crouching on the ground and spoke gently.

“Yeah! My brother told me.”

“My brother is the best toy salesman—he sells toys like this!”

Teucer looked at the slightly confused Qiu Yue and explained happily.

It seems that whenever he thinks of his brother, he becomes especially happy.

“The greatest toy salesman?”

“Like those merchants in Liyue Harbor who sell marionettes and mechanical dolls?”

Qiu Yue couldn’t help but ask curiously as she looked at Teucer.
