Chapter 54 – The Unsealed Astaroth
Chapter 54 – The Unsealed Astaroth
The gazes of several Adepti also fell upon the ink-white aura emanating from Lumine’s body.
“This… this is the power of the Adeptus Lord!”
Ganyu’s pupils contracted.
“Big… big brother’s aura…”
Qiqi pressed a finger to her mouth, looking at Lumine with some surprise.
All the Adepti behind her, except for Madame Ping, were staring at the Traveler with astonished eyes.
Lumine, noticing the surprised looks from the surrounding Adepti, felt a bit puzzled.
But she still charged forward, dealing with the Fatui.
Meanwhile, Qiu Bai remained standing on that hilltop, calmly gazing toward the direction of the Jade Chamber.
He hadn’t given the Traveler too much Divine Power, fearing that Lumine wouldn’t be able to withstand it.
Jade Chamber.
“She’s moving too fast!!”
“The Traveler has become too strong!!”
Paimon exclaimed in amazement, her voice trembling—she had never seen the Traveler this powerful before.
Lumine brushed past a group of Fatui, and before anyone could see her strike, the Fatui had already collapsed on the platform!
“Child, your physique is remarkably resilient.”
“Perhaps… you can withstand five types of Adeptal Energy at once…”
Lumine suddenly felt a sharp increase in pain throughout her body!
The aura around her turned blood-red as Madame Ping merged the Adeptal Energy within Lumine into one.
At that moment, the ink-white aura within Lumine suddenly radiated out, transforming into black and white energies that swirled around her.
Lumine felt the Adeptal Energy inside her suddenly become very gentle, as if it had fallen asleep.
Then, the black and white energies retreated back into the Traveler’s body.
“Adeptus Lord…”
Ganyu had just been about to say, “It might hurt a bit, please bear with it,” when she saw this black and white aura calming the turbulent Adeptal Energy within Lumine.
Cloud Retainer also fell into deep thought as she observed this aura.
It seemed that this Traveler named Lumine was a close friend of the Adeptus Lord.
Madame Ping looked at Lumine and smiled.
“Once you’ve adapted, try to wield this power.”
Xiao’s voice came from the side.
After Lumine fought for a while…
“The number of Fatui boarding the Jade Chamber is decreasing!”
Keqing also noticed that Lumine had nearly wiped out all the Fatui.
“Fellow comrades, keep fighting! Once we finish off these enemies, the Adepti can focus entirely on dealing with the Demon God!”
After Lumine defeated the last Fatui, she turned to see the several Adepti behind her.
“The interference has been eliminated. Finally, we can act without distraction and exert our full strength.”
Mountain Shaper spoke calmly.
At this moment, Cloud Retainer, Mountain Shaper, and Moon Carver, along with the other Adepti providing Adeptal Energy, concentrated the power within their bodies.
A massive shockwave, carrying an aura of Destruction, was fiercely unleashed from the Guizhong Ballista!
The solid strike landed squarely on the body of the Overlord of the Vortex, Osial!
Boom!
A tremendous explosion echoed through the air!
In pain, Osial’s five massive heads thrashed wildly.
“Roar!!”
Then, all five heads roared furiously toward the sky!
“Ah… it’s working!”
“If we keep suppressing him like this…”
Ningguang, who was maintaining the formation with her jade-like hands, looked toward Osial in the distance, her pupils contracting.
Osial’s five heads gathered an incredibly terrifying Divine Power!
The Divine Power condensed into a massive sphere, from which a colossal beam shot toward the heavens!
Keqing stared blankly at the Overlord of the Vortex, Osial, before her.
Shocked, Keqing’s pupils contracted sharply.
Countless blue spheres fell from the sky like rain.
They landed on the massive platform, shattering it instantly upon impact and destroying the Guizhong Ballista.
Lumine’s figure plummeted downward, falling through the air.
At that moment, a figure darted back and forth among the falling debris before finally catching Lumine.
This figure was none other than Xiao, who then teleported with Lumine back onto the Jade Chamber.
Mountain Shaper carried Qiqi and a group of Millelith soldiers, while Cloud Retainer had many Millelith soldiers on her back as well.
Moon Carver, meanwhile, carried Keqing and flew back onto the Jade Chamber.
“The Guizhong Ballista has been destroyed. Without its suppression, it will be difficult for us to counterattack again!”
Cloud Retainer looked at everyone present with some urgency as she spoke.
“But the Jade Chamber is our final barrier. No matter what, we cannot retreat another step!”
Ganyu stepped forward, looking at everyone with determination.
Ningguang flashed with golden light and appeared in the midst of the group. Just as she was about to speak—
“ROAR!!!”
In the distance, Osial seemed to have gained strength, his roar radiating waves of delight.
Qiu Bai, standing on another mountaintop, witnessed this scene.
“The Doctor has made his move.”
At that moment, the Doctor stood on a beach not far from the Overlord of the Vortex.
Countless Delusion Sigils surrounded him, swirling around his body as dark energy coiled about him.
The Doctor stepped forward, extending both hands as he gazed at the distant Overlord of the Vortex, letting out a twisted laugh.
“Hahahaha, what a magnificent experiment!”
“Let this banquet of madness bloom!”
The Doctor laughed maniacally as he sent the Delusion Sigils flying deep into the ocean.
At that very moment, an enormous Stone Spear was emitting waves of suppression energy!
The massive Stone Spear had pinned Osial beneath the sea, and now these Delusion Sigils attached themselves one by one to the spear.
After thousands of years of weathering, the Stone Spear’s suppression power was no longer what it once was.
Moreover, Osial had already awakened and was constantly struggling against the spear, causing cracks to spread across its surface inch by inch.
The Overlord of the Vortex, Osial, who had been suppressed for millennia, was now completely freed from his restraints!
He rose with an immense body, his form beneath the heads resembling that of the Loch Ness Monster as he slowly swam toward Liyue Harbor!
“ROAR!!!”
The colossal Osial lifted his five heads, which reached up to the dark clouds in the sky, and roared furiously toward Liyue Harbor!
The intense sound waves caused dizziness among the people of Liyue Harbor.
“This is bad! Osial has completely broken free from the Stone Spear’s suppression.”
The Adepti watched as Osial slowly approached Liyue Harbor. Even they were powerless now.
A sense of despair rose in everyone’s hearts.
Ningguang, who had just been prepared to sacrifice the Jade Chamber, also drew a sharp breath.
For the first time, a feeling of despair emerged within her.
Lumine stared blankly at the enormous monster in the distance, gazing at the Overlord of the Vortex, Osial.
“Is my journey going to end here?”
Lumine stood there dazed, a helpless and desperate feeling welling up inside her.
“Traveler, Paimon still wants to be your best partner!”
She looked at Paimon beside her, who smiled back at Lumine.
It seemed that simply being with the Traveler was enough to make her truly happy.
Lumine stared blankly at Paimon’s smile, then tears welled up in her own eyes as a smile spread across her face.
She gently touched Paimon’s cheek, their gazes meeting in that moment.
Meanwhile, Osial, as he approached Liyue Harbor, gathered the most powerful attack yet within his five heads!
It seemed as though he intended to utterly destroy the Liyue Harbor before him.
A certain Consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor stood at the entrance, arms crossed, watching the apocalyptic scene unfold.
Beside him stood Qiu Yue, her gaze fixed on the distant Osial.
“Old friend…”
Zhongli murmured softly as he watched Osial gathering his power in the distance.
“Adeptus Lord…”
Madame Ping also watched as Osial concentrated his Divine Power, whispering the words under her breath.
“Mommy, I’m scared…”
“It’s alright, dear, don’t be afraid. We still have the Adeptus Lord and Rex Lapis.”
“But… didn’t Rex Lapis and the Adeptus Lord already pass away?”
“Silly child, what are you saying?”
“They will come to save us…”
A mother held her child close, comforting them in a gentle voice.
Then, with a hint of uncertainty in her eyes, she looked out the window at the enormous monster.
“Adeptus Lord, Rex Lapis… have you truly… met with misfortune?”
The mother thought with sorrow in her heart, then hugged her child tightly.
Osial had finished gathering his Divine Power. A massive beam of light shot from his five heads toward Liyue Harbor below!
“You all.”
“Have done well enough.”
A gentle yet steady voice rang out.
A voice that could be heard throughout all of Liyue Harbor echoed through the air.
At the source of the sound, a figure stood in the sky, appearing directly in the path of the attack.
This figure wore robes of ink-black and white, the breeze lightly rustling the hem of his garments.
His long black hair cascaded freely down his back, and at his waist, the Yin-Yang Duality emitted a brilliant, dazzling light.
