Chapter 70 – The Four Yakshas Staying Here for a While
Chapter 70 – The Four Yakshas Staying Here for a While
A long time passed before Qiu Bai regained his composure.
He then used Xiao’s memories, along with his own Divine Power, and infused them into his sister’s Authority Bagua Formation.
The glowing Bagua Formation spun continuously, slowly transforming into four human figures.
The four figures had their eyes slightly closed.
Their bodies emitted a faint blue light and had a somewhat transparent appearance.
At this moment, the four figures opened their eyes in confusion, staring blankly and somewhat disbelievingly at their own hands.
There was the burly, four-armed Bosacius.
Along with the sweet and lovely Water Yaksha Bonanus, the dashing and spirited Fire Yaksha, and finally the gentle and elegant Menogias.
The four Yakshas looked bewildered at Qiu Bai, then turned their gaze to Xiao lying on the long bench.
“Who are you?”
“And is that Xiao on the bench over there?”
Bonanus’s sweet voice rang out as she looked at Xiao lying on the bench.
“I… didn’t I already die?”
Bosacius stared incredulously at his own hands. He had clearly died while guarding the seal beneath The Chasm, having succumbed to demonic possession.
He looked at his siblings beside him.
Even a tough man like Bosacius shed tears, but then he laughed.
“Big brother, why are you crying?”
“Are you alright?”
Indarias beside him couldn’t understand why their big brother was both crying and laughing.
“I remember we were engaged in endless battles against Demon God Residue and demonic beasts, weren’t we?”
“How did we end up here? We need to return quickly, or the people of Liyue—!”
Menogias looked at the Yakshas around him and immediately shouted.
Just as he tried to run back to what he perceived as the “battlefield,” he found that no matter how he moved, he couldn’t leave the Bagua Formation.
Seeing Menogias like this, Bosacius beside him patted his shoulder.
“What’s wrong, big brother?”
“The people of Liyue! What is this circle? Let me out!”
Menogias tried to use Adeptal Energy but found he couldn’t use anything at all, as if he were now an ordinary person.
“Menogias, Bonanus, Indarias, we are already deceased.”
“Look around at Dihua Marsh—does it still look the same as you remember?”
Bosacius looked at the three and spoke slowly.
“Are we already dead…”
“Then what about the people of Liyue?”
The Yakshas looked around in disbelief.
Bonanus covered her mouth in shock. If they were already dead, what would happen to the people of Liyue?
“Sigh…”
“Turn your attention to me.”
Qiu Bai’s steady voice rang out as he looked at the four Yakshas.
“Since you don’t know what happened.”
“Then I’ll show you what has occurred.”
Qiu Bai pointed a finger, and four glowing orbs entered the minds of the four Yakshas.
These orbs contained how they had died, Qiu Bai’s identity,
what had happened over the past five hundred years, and finally, how the Adeptus Lord and Rex Lapis had feigned slumber and death.
It also informed them about their resurrection.
A long time later, the four Yakshas slowly opened their eyes and looked around in confusion.
“I never imagined five hundred years have passed.”
“Xiao must have been very lonely all by himself.”
Bosacius sighed.
The four Yakshas slowly turned their gaze to Xiao lying on the long bench, their eyes filled with heartache. Among the Five Yakshas, Xiao was the youngest.
“Adeptus Lord, thank you.”
“Liyue today is truly at peace.”
Indarias looked at the handsome scholar-like Qiu Bai, clasping his hands and speaking.
They did not care about their own deaths.
The only thing they cared about was whether the people of Liyue could live in peace, and whether their deaths held meaning.
“Haha, there is no need to thank me.”
“Rather, it is you who have done far more than I.”
Qiu Bai waved his hand with a smile, looking at the four Yakshas.
“But please wait a moment.”
Qiu Bai separated an Avatar of Yang to maintain the formation.
Then he flew to the land of Dihua Marsh and sat cross-legged on the ground.
With his fingers forming a Magic Mudra, a massive Taiji Diagram appeared beneath where Qiu Bai sat.
An ink-white aura, invisible to mortals, formed a shockwave that radiated outward in all directions from Qiu Bai’s position.
The plants and trees touched by it seemed to rejoice. The Hilichurls around Dihua Marsh, slightly affected by Demon God Residue, along with numerous other Monsters, had the Demon God Residue and corruption on their bodies completely dispelled by this wave.
The lingering God-Demon Grudge in the land of Dihua Marsh was also thoroughly purified by Qiu Bai.
Qiu Bai slowly stood up and flew above Wangshu Inn.
Seeing the Avatar of Yang still maintaining the formation, he immediately withdrew it back into his body and continued using Divine Power to resurrect the four Yakshas.
The four Yakshas all gazed with grateful eyes at Qiu Bai, who sat cross-legged with his eyes slightly closed.
“This is my first time seeing the Adeptus Lord.”
“I never imagined he would be such a gentle deity.”
Bonanus felt his own body and Adeptal Energy slowly reforming over time and murmured to himself.
“I heard from Cloud Retainer and the others that the Adeptus Lord fell into a thousand-year slumber.”
“in order to purify the Dragon King.”
Bosacius looked at the murmuring Bonanus and nodded with a smile.
“Old friend, I have come.”
A very familiar voice came from behind Qiu Bai.
Hearing this voice, Qiu Bai’s lips curved into a slight smile.
“Morax, what brings you here?”
“Didn’t we agree you would teach my sister about Teyvat at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor?”
Qiu Bai turned his head with a smile and looked in Zhongli’s direction.
Zhongli was now walking leisurely toward Qiu Bai’s position.
“Haha, your sister learns with astonishing speed.”
“Basically, she remembers everything I teach after hearing it once.”
Zhongli chuckled, then turned his smiling gaze toward the four Yakshas.
“Rex Lapis.”
The four Yakshas noticed Qiu Bai’s address—Morax—and immediately understood who Zhongli was.
Zhongli, however, waved his hand with a smile.
“As I am now, I have established a Contract to end all Contracts.”
“There is no need to address me that way anymore. I also feel great remorse toward you all.”
Zhongli looked at the four Yakshas and spoke with a smile.
“Rex Lapis, there is no need for remorse.”
“Protecting Liyue is our duty!”
Menogias, standing to the side, looked at Zhongli and immediately clasped his hands in respect.
Beside him, Bonanus, Indarias, and Bosacius also bowed to Zhongli with clasped hands.
“There is no need for such formalities.”
“Please, stand at ease.”
Zhongli nodded with a smile.
Then he turned his gaze toward Xiao, who lay on the long bench.
“Xiao’s Karmic Debt has already been eliminated.”
“Old friend, thank you.”
Zhongli looked somewhat relieved as he glanced at the several Yakshas around him.
He then turned his gaze toward Qiu Bai, who was sitting cross-legged on the ground, and expressed his gratitude.
“Haha, no need to be so formal with me.”
Upon hearing this, Qiu Bai waved his hand with a smile and continued to increase the output of Divine Power.
(Dear readers, I am fully recovered now. Thank you for your concern! Here’s a photo of Qiu Xue for you.)
