Chapter 79 – Asking Ping’er to Create the Serenitea Pot
Chapter 79 – Asking Ping'er to Create the Serenitea Pot
Xingqiu looked at the puzzled Qiu Bai and stroked her chin.
“My name is Xingqiu.”
“I’m the second young master of the Feiyun Commerce Guild.”
Seeing Qiu Bai’s confusion, Xingqiu explained.
“So you’re the second young master of the Feiyun Commerce Guild.”
“I’ve only recently returned to Liyue Harbor, so I’m not very familiar with the current situation.”
Qiu Bai smiled at Xingqiu as he explained.
“I didn’t expect Mr. Qiu Bai to have such refined tastes.”
“Coming here to watch Yun Jin perform opera.”
Xingqiu walked over and sat down in front of Qiu Bai, glancing at Yun Jin on stage with a smile.
“Ms. Yun Jin’s opera performances are unparalleled.”
“Everyone in Liyue Harbor knows about it, so of course I had to come see for myself.”
Qiu Bai looked at Xingqiu and explained with a smile.
“Besides, I had nothing else to do.”
“Tomorrow, I plan to visit the island nation of Inazuma.”
Qiu Bai took a sip of tea and spoke slowly.
“Inazuma?”
“I’ve heard that nation is under a lockdown. How will you get there, Mr. Qiu Bai?”
Xingqiu closed her book and asked curiously.
“I have my ways.”
“My goal is to travel across all seven nations of this world and see them properly.”
Hearing this, Qiu Bai smiled mysteriously and spoke to Xingqiu.
“Since you’re going to Inazuma, Mr. Qiu Bai…”
“Could you do me a favor?”
Xingqiu seemed to have an idea, her eyes lighting up upon hearing that Qiu Bai had a way to reach Inazuma.
Qiu Bai looked at Xingqiu with some confusion, unsure what favor she was asking.
As if sensing Qiu Bai’s puzzlement, Xingqiu glanced around cautiously before turning back to him.
“Let me tell you, Mr. Qiu Bai—my pen name for writing novels is Zhenyu.”
“My novels can’t get published here in Liyue. The publishers say they’re too old-fashioned.”
“But I have fans in Inazuma. This is a copy I printed secretly.”
Xingqiu paused and lowered her voice.
“I’d like to ask you, Mr. Qiu Bai…”
“To take this ‘A Legend of Sword II’ to the Yae Publishing House in Inazuma. It’s my latest work.”
Xingqiu handed a novel to Qiu Bai.
Qiu Bai took the book—it was quite heavy. It seemed Xingqiu had put a lot of effort into it.
“When you get there, just say it’s the sequel by Master Zhenyu.”
“Ask Yae Publishing House to print a few copies. We can split the profits, say, fifty-fifty?”
Xingqiu looked at Qiu Bai expectantly, worried he might refuse.
For some reason, Inazuma had suddenly entered lockdown recently, making it impossible for her to go there herself.
“Ding!”
“System Mission!”
“Help Xingqiu deliver ‘A Legend of Sword II’ to Yae Publishing House!”
“Reward: Unknown.”
The system’s voice echoed in Qiu Bai’s mind.
“Heh, I wasn’t planning to refuse anyway.”
“Might as well take a look around Inazuma while I’m at it.”
Qiu Bai stroked his chin, amused by the thought.
Meanwhile, Xingqiu watched Qiu Bai lost in thought and scratched her head. Could Mr. Qiu Bai be facing some difficulties?
“Alright, I’ll help you.”
“It’s getting late now. You should rest soon.”
Qiu Bai glanced at the sky, then at Yun Jin, whose performance was nearing its end, and spoke to Xingqiu.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Qiu Bai.”
“It’s settled, then.”
Xingqiu happily stood up, patting her chest gratefully.
A hand was extended.
“Heh, no problem. I don’t have much else going on anyway.”
“I’d like to wander around Inazuma for a bit.”
Qiu Bai also stood up, took Xingqiu’s hand, and said with a smile.
“Then I’ll take my leave now.”
“Mr. Qiu Bai, rest well.”
After speaking, Xingqiu headed toward the Feiyun Commerce Guild.
Applause erupted warmly around them—it seemed Yun Jin’s performance had ended.
Qiu Bai also smiled, looking toward Yun Jin at the center of the stage.
With a flick of his finger, a beam of white light invisible to mortals infused into Yun Jin’s body.
“Huh, what’s happening to me?”
“Why do I feel like all my physical fatigue has vanished?”
Yun Jin, having just finished her performance, looked at her hands in confusion, not quite understanding.
Usually, after her performances, she would feel extremely tired, but this time, there was no sense of exhaustion at all.
Qiu Bai subtly sensed the direction of the Five Yakshas.
Then he strolled over.
On the brightly lit street, Bosacius, Bonanus, Indarias, Xiao, and Menogias all wore smiles on their faces.
Walking along the street, Bonanus couldn’t help but curiously glance at the vendors selling candied hawthorns and various snacks.
In Xiao’s mouth was a candied hawthorn that Bosacius had forcibly fed him.
Xiao looked at the delighted Bosacius, but after eating it, a faint smile also appeared on his face.
Indarias, meanwhile, headed toward a Liyue clothing store, eyeing various outfits.
Her eyes sparkling, she bought every piece of clothing she liked.
Menogias, on the other hand, looked at the various toys around and began fiddling with them.
“Big Brother Bosacius, look at this!”
Bonanus ran over, wearing a flower crown on her head, and smiled sweetly.
“So cute, it suits you perfectly, Bonanus.”
Bosacius laughed heartily, looking at the adorable Bonanus with affection.
“Menogias, how old are you?”
“Still looking at children’s toys.”
Bosacius couldn’t help but tease Menogias, who had been playing with toys the whole way.
“Get lost, Bosacius.”
“What do you know? I’m studying the crystallization of Liyue’s wisdom today.”
Menogias wore an expression that said “you don’t understand,” then turned back to continue examining the toys.
“Look, look, how does this outfit look on me?”
Indarias walked out of the clothing store and called out to the four Yakshas in the distance.
Her red long hair cascaded down her back, and she wore a classical qipao.
Baring her beautiful legs and wearing high heels, she smiled at the four Yakshas.
“It looks great! It really suits you, Sister Indarias.”
Bonanus was dazzled by Indarias’s attire and trotted over to take a closer look.
“I feel like this outfit doesn’t quite suit you.”
Bosacius’s lips twitched slightly—the fiery-tempered Indarias was actually wearing a qipao.
“I think it looks quite nice, actually.”
Menogias looked at Indarias and nodded with a smile.
“Hmm…”
“It looks good.”
Xiao stroked his chin and offered his evaluation of Indarias not far away.
Standing in the distance, Qiu Bai silently watched them.
“Heh, it seems Director Hu gave them quite a bit of Mora.”
“But that’s fine.”
Qiu Bai looked at the reunited Yakshas and couldn’t help but smile.
He didn’t go over to greet them but instead walked toward the other end of the street.
“Let’s go find Ping’er and have her make a Serenitea Pot for me.”
“When traveling to other nations, I can’t possibly return to Liyue to sleep every night.”
Qiu Bai stroked his chin and headed toward Yujing Terrace.
Approaching Yujing Terrace, the crowd noticeably thinned compared to the earlier streets.
Many young couples stood along the corridor, gazing at the distant bright moon.
Qiu Bai shook his head and proceeded upward toward Yujing Terrace.
