Chapter 93 – The Shocked Venti

Chapter 93 – The Shocked Venti

Venti looked at Qiu Bai with a face full of fear, terrified that he might actually drag him all the way from the tavern to the Dominator of Wolves’ territory.

“But they haven’t arrived yet, right?”

“So let’s drink first and deal with it when they get here.”

Venti chuckled, took a few more gulps, and said to Qiu Bai across from him.

“Mhm, by the time we finish drinking.”

“It should be about time.”

Qiu Bai looked at Venti’s fearful expression and nodded with a smile.

Time passed bit by bit as Venti and Qiu Bai chatted and joked, recounting everything that had happened over the years.

“Heh, looks like they’re here.”

Qiu Bai smiled faintly at the corner of his mouth and drained the last drop of wine from his glass.

“Yeah, seems like it’s time for us to set off.”

“But are we just going to run there?”

Venti looked at Qiu Bai with some confusion.

“What else? What can we do besides run?”

Qiu Bai smiled slightly at Venti’s expression.

“Flying is faster than running, right?”

“Oh, right, don’t you have that teleportation ability?”

Venti was about to suggest flying when he remembered Qiu Bai’s teleportation power, looking at him with curiosity.

“That one, the one you used a thousand years ago.”

“Instantly traveling to faraway places.”

Venti took a sip and spoke to Qiu Bai across the table.

“Heh, I didn’t expect you to remember.”

“Mhm, let’s go now.”

Qiu Bai nodded with a smile, then glanced around the tavern.

“But we can’t use my ability here.”

“There are too many people. Let’s leave the City of Mondstadt first.”

Qiu Bai turned to Venti with a grin.

“Sure, sure, flying is pretty tiring too.”

“Having you around makes things much easier.”

Hearing Qiu Bai’s words, Venti quickly nodded in agreement.

“Then let’s go.”

Qiu Bai said to Venti with a smile.

The two then left the Angel’s Share and headed out of Mondstadt.

Once they reached a deserted spot, Qiu Bai transformed into Qiu Xue.

Venti was stunned, staring blankly at the ethereally beautiful woman.

Qiu Xue’s delicate face turned to Venti standing beside her.

“Oh my god.”

“You actually turned completely into a woman.”

Venti looked at Qiu Xue in disbelief, circling around her.

“As the God of Balance.”

“The balance between male and female in Teyvat is also a form of equilibrium.”

Qiu Xue covered her mouth and laughed as Venti examined her.

“Hold on tight, Venti.”

“Let’s go take a look over there.”

Qiu Xue smiled at Venti, who was still staring at her in a daze.

“(⊙o⊙)…”

Venti hadn’t quite snapped out of it yet, still gazing blankly at Qiu Xue.

Unable to comprehend that Qiu Bai had truly become a woman.

“Come on, let’s go.”

Qiu Xue grabbed the back of Venti’s neck with her jade-like hand.

“Ow, ow, be gentle.”

Before Venti could say anything else, Qiu Xue focused her mind, and the two vanished from the spot.

In an instant, Qiu Xue and Venti appeared atop a cliff in the Dominator of Wolves’ territory.

“Looks like they’ve already arrived.”

Qiu Xue frowned slightly, her beautiful brows knitting as she stared at a massive wolf shadow below. The wolf’s tail was adorned with snow-blue glowing spots.

The wolf’s eyes glowed, enormous and imposing, its feet bound by a massive, eerie purple mist formation with chains, rendering it immobile.

And this Abyssal Power was slowly eroding the Northern Wolf King’s sanity.

Below, Lumine and Razor had both taken stances, watching the Abyss Herald ahead.

“Hmm, it seems we’ve arrived.”

“Boreas…”

Venti murmured softly as he looked at the giant wolf below.

“Hehe, leave it to me.”

A faint smile curled at the corner of Qiu Xue’s lips as she leaped down, her jade-like feet lightly touching the ground as she landed.

“Here, not welcome, you!”

Razor growled fiercely, his words broken and staccato as he spoke.

“Hehehe… A wolf with only a remnant soul left, yet still retaining the habit of nurturing its young.”

“Are you trying to act as a guardian? But his power clearly cannot compare to the claws the Demon God once wielded.”

The Abyss Herald glanced at Razor, then at Boreas, speaking slowly.

“And as long as you submit to us.”

“You can regain an Authority that rivals the gods, just like in the past.”

The Abyss Herald looked at the North Wind Wolf King and spoke slowly, his voice filled with confidence.

“Flattery…”

Boreas’s massive wolf form stared intently at the Abyss Herald as he spoke slowly.

“Demon Gods are a type of deity; they are born as gods.”

“It’s different from becoming a god through a Vision or relying on the power of a Gnosis. Demon Gods are born with powerful Authority and Divine Power.”

“Those who become gods through a Vision or by ascending with the power of a Gnosis possess no Authority.”

Qiu Xue stroked her chin, musing inwardly, though she was genuinely curious.

How could the Abyss restore Boreas’s Divine Body and Authority?

Even she would have to pay a considerable price to restore a Demon God, let alone someone as powerful as Andrius.

“Er… except for the God of Salt.”

“But even the weakest God of Salt still possessed Authority.”

Qiu Xue touched her chin with her jade-like hand, thinking with some surprise.

No matter how weak the God of Salt was, she could still produce salt infinitely.

If the Abyss could restore Andrius, then why did they need her help?

“Is it possible…”

“Could it be that they’re just bluffing?”

At this thought, Qiu Xue’s lips twitched. After all, anyone can make empty promises.

Qiu Xue concealed her presence, standing there and pondering.

“What kind of ritual is this? It looks like it’s in pain!”

“Hmm… Is it similar to the corruption that controlled Dvalin’s mind?!”

Paimon looked at Boreas, restrained by a massive purple ring, and spoke with concern.

“Wolf, not yield, but, cannot, continue.”

Razor spoke in a fierce tone, maintaining his combat stance as he stared intently at the Abyss Herald.

“I’ve been lost in thought for too long.”

“I forgot there’s still a fight going on ahead.”

Qiu Xue snapped back to reality, her jade-like hand touching her forehead.

She slowly walked toward the direction of Razor and the others.

“I’ll handle it.”

“It’s just defeating the Herald again.”

Lumine took her stance, holding the Dull Blade in her hand, her expression hostile as she looked at the Abyss Herald.

“Lumine, Paimon.”

Qiu Xue’s voice sounded from behind.

Lumine, who was about to charge forward, slowly turned her head upon hearing this sweet female voice.

“Qiu Xue!”

Paimon also turned her head, looking at the graceful figure approaching from not far away.

Qiu Xue walked over slowly, her beautiful legs moving gracefully.

“Another one comes to die.”

“No matter how many times, your efforts are futile!”

As soon as the Abyss Herald finished speaking, he charged forward.

“Devote yourself to the Abyss!!”

Qiu Xue frowned, her lovely brows knitting together as she swung her hand out like a brushstroke carrying ink.

Just as ink spreads across paper, an arc of ink-white energy formed from her attack.

The charging apostle, seeing this brushstroke-like assault, desperately tried to halt its momentum.

But it was already too late.
