Chapter 99 – Dragonspine Mountain

Chapter 99 – Dragonspine Mountain

Klee looked at Qiu Bai in front of her.

“Hehe, after all, Klee’s allowance…”

“was all spent on buying these.”

Klee scratched her head, speaking somewhat sheepishly.

“It seems Klee really likes eating fish.”

Qiu Bai looked at Klee like this, took a bite of fish, and said with a smile.

“Ah, oh no.”

“Klee forgot the time, I have to go back.”

While eating, Klee seemed to remember something and quickly stood up.

“Brother Qiu Bai, I have to go back.”

“Otherwise, if Acting Grand Master Jean finds out, she’ll put Klee in confinement again.”

Klee looked at Qiu Bai sitting on the rock and hurriedly said.

Then she ran off.

Qiu Bai, sitting on the rock eating fish, was completely bewildered.

“Klee, run slowly!”

But he still smiled and called out to Klee’s running figure.

“Klee knows, goodbye, Brother Qiu Bai!”

Klee shouted while running.

Evening in Mondstadt.

Klee slowly pushed open the door to her room.

Carefully walking forward.

“Klee!”

In the dark room, an angry woman’s voice suddenly rang out.

“Ah, Acting Grand Master Jean!”

“K-Klee got lost on the way back, that’s why I’m back so late.”

Klee looked up, trembling as she explained to Acting Grand Master Jean’s stern face.

“Only now do you know to come back, so late!”

“Did you go fishing with explosives again?”

Acting Grand Master Jean didn’t pay attention to what Klee said; she had heard excuses like this from Klee several times already.

“N-no, I didn’t.”

“But I met the Adeptus Lord big brother that Acting Grand Master Jean mentioned!”

Klee quickly waved her hands, as if remembering something, and happily said to Acting Grand Master Jean.

“Adeptus Lord?”

“It couldn’t be that deity from Liyue, could it?”

Acting Grand Master Jean murmured thoughtfully upon hearing Klee’s words.

“That big brother is amazing; he can bring all the water and fish from the lake in the sky out.”

“And he can float in the air. That big brother appeared when Klee was fishing with explosives.”

Klee happily said to Acting Grand Master Jean in front of her.

“What’s wrong, Jean?”

“What are you saying to the little one?”

Lisa pushed the door open and walked in, seeing Jean scolding Klee.

Jean told Lisa everything Klee had said.

“Lake water floating in the air like cloth?”

“Summoning firewood out of thin air, and restoring trees to life?”

Lisa stroked her chin, slowly repeating.

Then she crouched down and patted Klee’s head.

“Jean.”

“Could this child have fallen asleep somewhere and dreamed it all?”

Lisa looked at Klee somewhat puzzled, then slowly stood up and said to Acting Grand Master Jean.

“Klee didn’t dream!”

“It was all real.”

Klee pouted, saying somewhat angrily.

“Alright, alright~ Little Klee didn’t dream.”

“Listen to Sister Lisa and tell her what that person looked like, okay?”

Lisa gently patted Klee’s head and said with a smile.

Then Klee told Lisa about Qiu Bai’s appearance and features.

“Oh?”

“Jean, have you heard of this gentleman somewhere?”

Lisa’s sexy legs, paired with stockings, slowly stood up.

“Judging by his attire, he should be from Liyue.”

“He might also be a Liyue person who worships that deity.”

Jean also nodded; after all, what Klee described was too fantastical, leaving both Jean and Lisa somewhat unable to make sense of it for the moment.

“By the way, Klee, didn’t you say you didn’t go fish blasting?”

“Then what was that about fish blasting you mentioned earlier?”

Jean looked down at Klee, hands on her hips, speaking sternly.

“Um…”

Klee lowered her head, her fingers fidgeting together, unable to speak.

“Off to the confinement room.”

“Reflect on your actions.”

Seeing Klee like this, Jean spoke slowly.

“Klee understands…”

Klee lowered her head and walked out of the room, heading toward the confinement room next door.

“Sigh, Klee is too easy to fool.”

“Why would a deity from Liyue appear in Mondstadt for no reason?”

Jean watched Klee’s retreating figure and sighed.

“Maybe the little one…”

“is telling the truth.”

Lisa covered her mouth and chuckled softly as she looked at Jean.

“That Adeptus Lord has already fallen into slumber.”

“Why would he come to Mondstadt to go fishing with Klee?”

Jean spread her hands, frowning at Lisa.

“That’s true.”

“After all, what deity would have that much free time? Hehe…”

Hearing Jean’s words, Lisa also covered her mouth and chuckled softly.

“That child Klee, the stories she makes up…”

“are getting less and less believable.”

Jean held her head and sighed before walking out of the room.

“Hehe, Jean, I’ve already prepared your meal.”

“You’ve been working so long without eating, haven’t you?”

Lisa smiled, gracefully stepping out as well.

By Sunset Lake, Qiu Bai finished eating the fish and looked up at the slowly setting sun.

“Ah, time flies.”

“I suppose Lumine has already met her brother.”

Qiu Bai stretched lazily and vanished in an instant with a teleport.

After landing, Qiu Bai turned his gaze forward.

Before him stood an enormous snow-capped mountain, faintly visible with fierce gales sweeping across its slopes.

On the mountain, a seemingly tiny Statue of The Seven emitted a faint blue light.

From Qiu Bai’s perspective, this faint blue speck appeared minuscule compared to the entire mountain.

“Wow, truly spectacular.”

“Isn’t this the newbie’s nightmare, Dragonspine?”

Qiu Bai looked at the colossal snow-capped mountain before him, his lips twitching slightly.

He remembered when he first explored the mountain at level 18 and was utterly discouraged by its challenges.

“To travel across all seven nations, I must visit every corner.”

“Mondstadt’s scenery is quite enchanting.”

Qiu Bai smiled faintly and strode toward the direction of the mountain.

With another teleport, Qiu Bai disappeared from his spot and reappeared at the very peak of the mountain.

Right above the Skyfrost Nail, fierce icy winds whipped against Qiu Bai’s thin clothing, yet he felt no cold at all.

His eyes gleamed with a faint light as he gazed at the scenery below.

After a long while, he turned around to take in the surrounding view.

“Heh, the visibility up here is a bit low.”

Qiu Bai chuckled softly. The area was filled with swirling winds and heavy snowfall, making visibility extremely poor.

Qiu Bai flew a full circle around Dragonspine, observing the enormous skeleton below.

“This must be where the venomous dragon Durin fell.”

“It’s huge, but compared to Azhdaha, it’s still a bit smaller.”

Qiu Bai landed on the skeleton, gazing at the massive bones beneath his feet, murmuring to himself.

A thousand years ago, when he purified Azhdaha, that Azhdaha was like a mountain, immense and towering, several times larger than this skeleton of Durin.
