Chapter 159 – Rebellion (Three)
Chapter 159 – Rebellion (3)
Transcending ordinary martial artists, they arrived in Fujian Province at incredible speed. There, they could see the alliance of sects gathered near the province.
A thousand warriors couldn’t all gather in one place, so they were dispersed, setting up camps throughout Fujian. One such group of warriors came into the view of Yu-jin and his companions.
“Oh?”
Yu-jin smiled at the sight of the numerous barracks that had been set up. His women did the same.
Just then, the warriors guarding the camp spotted Yu-jin and his women and approached them. They intended to turn them away, as the area was currently restricted.
If they were from an unorthodox sect, they might have been killed on the spot to silence them, but these were all warriors of the Righteous Faction. No matter how much they wanted to kill, they couldn’t act so cruelly.
However, a sharp killing intent emanated from the five warriors, intended to intimidate them.
But they had picked the wrong opponents.
“It seems they want to say something to us. Are you inclined to talk, Master?”
“Not a chance.”
As Eun Seol-rin asked with a grin, Yu-jin shook his head in response. In that instant, Ran shot forward at high speed and slit the throat of one of the five warriors with her short sword.
Crimson blood spurted like a fountain, and the warrior whose throat was cut collapsed on the spot.
“E-enemies!”
The warriors, who had only intended to give a warning, cried out reflexively when their comrade was killed.
Ran paid them no mind, diving into the warriors’ shadows, then reappeared behind them and slit another throat.
It didn’t take long for Ran to kill all five warriors.
“I have no intention of exchanging words with those who defy me.”
Yu-jin spoke with a grin, watching the approaching warriors. As if his smile were contagious, Yu-jin’s women also smiled and released their fighting auras.
After all, their opponents were only a small group of about a hundred. It was little more than a warm-up, but it was enough to get their blood pumping.
The hundred or so warriors approaching due to the sudden commotion trembled with an unknown fear as they looked at Yu-jin’s group.
But their pride was too strong, and the option to flee did not exist in their minds. Suppressing their inexplicable fear, they advanced toward Yu-jin and his women.
“There’s no need for you to step in, Master. We’ll handle this.”
“Seol-rin is right. We’ll take care of it.”
As Seol-rin and Bukri Eun spoke to him, Yu-jin nodded with a look of disappointment.
He couldn’t refuse when his women pleaded so earnestly. Ultimately, Yu-jin stepped back and looked at his women.
“You can kill them all, but leave their leader alive. There’s something I need to find out. Hwa Un-wol is probably observing their movements by now, but it’s better to find out directly.”
“Understood, Master.”
The five women spoke in unison and put on their masks. Then they faced the hundred or so approaching warriors. A hundred against five. By common sense, the hundred should have won, but this was the martial world, where common sense didn’t apply.
Bukri Eun and Han So-un, in particular, were absolute masters, each capable of facing a thousand warriors alone. They were not opponents ordinary warriors could handle.
Whoooosh!
Unleashing a massive aura, the masked women lunged toward the warriors. And the slaughter began.
Bukri Eun extended her hand, and a warrior’s head froze solid before shattering.
Han So-un also struck out, her power so immense that the warriors’ weapons and bodies were crushed on impact.
“Gyaaaah!”
The warriors let out horrific screams from the pain of broken bones and torn muscles.
At that, Han So-un furrowed her fine brow and crushed their hearts one by one. She was not one to appreciate noise.
*’Who in the world are they?’*
Jin Yu-cheong, the Roaring Tiger Sword and master of the Roaring Tiger Sect, who led the hundred warriors here, stared at the masked figures, unable to hide his shock.
He knew they were masters the moment they released their auras. But he had thought that no matter how powerful their martial arts were, over a hundred warriors would be enough to defeat six opponents.
But once the fight began, it was clear they were supreme masters, on a level he could hardly imagine.
“Who are you! Reveal yourselves. Who dares to use killing techniques against us in Fujian Province!”
The masked women didn’t answer Jin Yu-cheong’s shout. They simply stared at him with arrogant eyes, and Jin Yu-cheong felt a chill run down his spine.
What shocked him even more was that despite having created a mountain of corpses around them, they remained pristine, without a single drop of blood on them.
“If you don’t answer, I’ll consider you all enemies and kill you!”
“You didn’t consider us enemies even after we used killing techniques? How utterly foolish.”
Na Ye-jin said, a sneer on her lips that didn’t suit her beautiful face. Of course, Jin Yu-cheong couldn’t see the sneer because of her mask, but her tone alone was enough to enrage him.
Jin Yu-cheong raised his sword toward Na Ye-jin. He realized this was no longer a situation that could be resolved with a few words. Jin Yu-cheong swung his sword, and a massive wave of sword energy cut through the air toward Na Ye-jin.
“Hmph. Is that all you’ve got?”
Watching the massive wave of sword energy, Na Ye-jin swung her own sword without wiping the sneer from her face. In that instant, a sword energy like moonlight formed, then shattered into countless fragments that struck the warriors. It was one of the techniques Na Ye-jin had learned from watching Yu-jin’s Wings of Light.
“Kuaaaaargh!”
Countless warriors screamed and fell under her indiscriminate attack.
But Na Ye-jin didn’t spare the dying warriors a single glance, instead swinging her sword at the incoming wave of energy. The moonlight energy sliced through Jin Yu-cheong’s sword energy with ease.
“What!”
Jin Yu-cheong was greatly flustered to see his ultimate technique so easily nullified. But as Na Ye-jin charged at him at incredible speed and brought her sword down, he hastily swung his own to block her attack.
Watching this, Yu-jin nodded. Na Ye-jin was properly following his order to keep the one who appeared to be the leader alive.
If Na Ye-jin hadn’t been holding back, someone of Jin Yu-cheong’s level would never have been able to withstand a single one of her strikes. But even with her holding back, the difference in their skills was too clear, and Jin Yu-cheong’s body gradually faltered.
*’Where did such a monster come from…’*
Under the attack of this unknown master, Jin Yu-cheong felt his grip gradually go numb. His sword was already covered in a web of hairline cracks.
For the first time in his life, Jin Yu-cheong experienced the fear of death.
“As expected, this is all you amount to. The game is over.”
Na Ye-jin quietly declared, unleashing a technique Jin Yu-cheong could not handle. In that instant, the moonlight flashed, and simultaneously, Jin Yu-cheong’s right arm was severed from his body and fell to the ground. Crimson blood began to pour from the wound.
“Gyaaaah!”
Jin Yu-cheong shrieked in agony from the immense pain. Na Ye-jin then struck him in the abdomen, knocking him down, and stopped the bleeding to prevent any further blood loss.
What Yu-jin needed was the information in his head and the mouth to speak it, so he absolutely could not be allowed to die.
“The commander has been captured! Attack!”
Shocked to see Jin Yu-cheong subdued in an instant, the warriors surged toward Yu-jin. But the warriors could not get anywhere near him.
Protected by the five women, Yu-jin was an untouchable fortress. The power of two Profound Realm masters, two Transformation Realm masters, and one Peak master was just that terrifying.
“Die.”
Bukri Eun declared in a cold tone as she twisted the neck of a warrior who swung his sword at her. The area she touched began to freeze, and in an instant, the warrior’s face froze and shattered into pieces.
“You demons!”
Enraged by such a cruel method, his fellow warriors charged at the masked Bukri Eun.
But before they could reach her, they lost their heads to Ran, who emerged from the shadows.
Disappearing back into the shadows, Ran picked off the most vulnerable warriors.
“I can’t lose to my disciple, can I?”
Eun Seol-rin muttered as she watched Ran, then entered the shadows herself.
Eun Seol-rin’s form appeared from the shadows of five warriors, and she immediately beheaded them.
Creating clones from shadows to assassinate was one of her greatest skills. But no one else slaughtered them as overwhelmingly as Han So-un.
“Hohohoho!”
Letting out a manic laugh that struck fear into the warriors just by hearing it, Han So-un wielded lines of black demonic energy like whips. The whips split into dozens of strands, instantly piercing the warriors’ chests.
As a result, it took only a moment for the hundred or so warriors to be annihilated.
*Thud!*
Na Ye-jin threw the body of the subdued Jin Yu-cheong before Yu-jin. Before Yu-jin, Jin Yu-cheong trembled uncontrollably.
Seeing the martial arts Bukri Eun displayed, Jin Yu-cheong realized she was the one who had subdued him in the past. And within the True Dragon Sword Clan, there was only one person who could command such an individual.
“Y-Young Master… w-why are you here!”
Although Jin Yu-cheong had only ever lived in Fujian Province and didn’t recognize Yu-jin’s face, he knew well that the only one who could dispatch Bukri Eun was Kang Yu-jin.
“To think you’d recognize me right away. I never imagined someone so clever would raise a banner against me.”
Although he hadn’t stated his name directly, Yu-jin’s words were as good as revealing his identity. And at Yu-jin’s words, Jin Yu-cheong’s face turned deathly pale.
The one person who absolutely should not be here was standing right before him. They had been preparing to march, having heard that the True Dragon Sword Clan was not making a move. They had clearly heard that no one was moving, so why was he here?
“Hmph! I do not regret opposing you! Your tyrannical ways will surely lead you to ruin!”
Realizing his opponent was Yu-jin and accepting his own death, Jin Yu-cheong glared at him and shouted.
But in that moment, Jin Yu-cheong’s face was slammed into the ground, and Han So-un stomped on his head. No matter how hard Jin Yu-cheong tried to get up, he couldn’t escape from under Han So-un’s foot. No, in fact, Han So-un pressed down harder, crushing his face into a bloody mess.
Yu-jin lifted Jin Yu-cheong’s face, met his eyes, and spoke again.
“It’s disappointing when you express your displeasure in such a way.”
“He who… lives by strength… will perish by strength.”
“Perhaps for one who wields their power foolishly. But I’m not so naive. Anyway, you’re noisy. It’s time to say goodbye to reality. This is the last moment your sanity will remain intact. So, farewell.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Yu-jin activated his Spiritual Eye.
