Chapter 116: Not Necessarily

Chapter 116: Not Necessarily

Li Changde’s words, “the Heavenly Father’s gift,” unexpectedly triggered the special effect of the Heavenly Father Altar fragment in Kamiyu’s storage backpack.

This caused a sacred platinum light to radiate behind Kamiyu, making her appear as if an angel had descended to the mortal realm. Everyone on the training ground believed she was even more formidable than the Beta Testers, having come to save them all.

After all, she had accomplished what ordinary players could not—producing over a hundred thousand bottles of various potions.

Qian Ming and over a dozen non-combat members of the Logistics Department repeatedly ran back and forth from the storage to the training ground, stacking the various potions on the field.

According to Li Changde’s intention, these potions were like bright red cash—they had to be piled up on the ground to create a visual impact and boost everyone’s confidence.

And so, over a dozen players made more than ten trips back and forth, retrieving hundreds of crates of Health Restoration Potions from the storage and stacking them on the ground.

“This is incredible, we’re saved! Over a hundred thousand bottles of potions! You know, the entire Beta Tester Trading Post and Black Market combined don’t even have ten thousand bottles,” exclaimed one veteran player.

“Over a hundred thousand bottles of potions… I never imagined they could be stacked this high,” remarked a new player, looking up at the potion crates that reached two stories tall.

“Did Miss Kamier really make all these?” asked another veteran player.

“That seems unlikely. Could they have been divided and diluted with water? Even the most skilled Pharmacist can only produce a dozen or twenty bottles a day at most—that’s already considered very high output,” someone questioned.

“Can they be diluted with water?” a nearby new player inquired.

Upon hearing this, Kamiyu thought indignantly, Accusing my potions of being diluted? I may be shady, I may be a camper, but I would never do such a dishonest thing!

Just as she was about to explain, Li Changde spoke first: “Do not question Miss Kamier. The potions are genuine. You’ll know once they’re distributed.”

Everyone, especially the members of the Frontline and Second-Tier Teams who had fought alongside Li Changde to build their territory, was utterly astonished.

What shocked them was not the authenticity of the potions, but Li Changde’s attitude toward “Kamier.” It had shifted from initial equality to complete submission and unwavering defense of her.

Those who understood the shifting winds immediately followed Li Changde in defending “Kamier.”

“Could the potions possibly be fake? Here, let me slash you once, and you’ll know if they’re real or not after drinking one,” boisterously declared Sen Qiang, Captain of the Frontline Team.

The talkative individual dared not utter another word.

Other Frontline Team members burst into laughter.

“Potion fakes are impossible. Just put them in your backpack and they’ll be appraised. How could anyone counterfeit them? Shame on you for being a veteran player,” chuckled a member of the Second-Tier Team.

“Someone, distribute the potions,” Li Changde commanded with a wave of his hand.

As the potions were handed out, everyone’s faces beamed with the joy of freeloading.

“Don’t push, don’t rush! Line up properly, everyone will get their share,” instructed a staff member.

Watching the bustling scene below, Kamiyu decided to add fuel to the fire. Raising her hand, she announced, “Everyone, this is just the appetizer. After the Hell Tide arrives, if you bring back the materials, I can continue making potions.”

Applause erupted—”Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap!”

Whistles filled the air—”Woo, woo, woo!”

“Amazing!”

“Thank you, Miss Kamier!”

“We’re saved! There’s hope!”

Kamiyu felt the overwhelming enthusiasm from the audience below. Despite several attempts to quiet them, the cheers continued unabated. Finally, she seized a moment to speak: “Later, President Li will arrange for the distribution of armor.”

Potions alone were not enough. A single critical hit or being swarmed by Aberrant Beasts or Demon Beasts could leave no opportunity to even drink a potion. In such moments, armor was essential to withstand the blows.

At this, the reactions of the guild members below grew even more fervent and frenzied.

“Unbelievable! Even armor is being distributed? Which guild could possibly manage that?” exclaimed a member of a Second-Tier Team in astonishment.

“Guild? No other Sanctuary offers such benefits,” remarked a Frontline Team member beside him.

“Exactly. Distributing weapons is something larger guilds and squads can manage, but armor is far more valuable than weapons. Only our esteemed figures on stage could accomplish this.”

“I think both of them are Beta Testers with dual Talents. That’s how they can do it,” speculated a whimsical player.

“Right! I heard earlier that Lord Beta Tester and Miss Kamier farmed the Valley of the Deathly Echo for seven days and seven nights. It seems that Instance Dungeon specializes in dropping armor.”

“Wow, keeping the good stuff to themselves, huh? Next time, we’ll go farm the Valley of the Deathly Echo too.”

Hearing the wild guesses from below, Kamiyu chuckled inwardly. She had originally prepared to go all out, thinking everyone would guess her ability to craft items.

Unexpectedly, their imaginations ran wild with speculation. Wild guesses were even better—they bought time and helped obscure the view of Lei Yao and his allies.

Everything Kamiyu had done was aimed at uniting everyone to farm together and overcome challenges, guided by the mindset of “what’s good for you is good for me, and good for all.”

She had never considered selfishly acting as a lone commander, performing a solo act, or being a lone wolf or a Camper lurking in the shadows. She also needed someone to cover for her openly.

Strengthening the members of Invincible and bolstering Jack’s capabilities meant reinforcing the strength of her own shield.

Kamiyu boasted to herself, feeling as though she had transformed from a mere Chess Piece into a Chess Player.

Later, in the Storage.

Following the whimsical member’s earlier speculation, Kamiyu crafted hundreds of exclusive armor pieces from the Valley of the Deathly Echo—Skeleton Helmets.

Li Changde picked up one of the helmets and marveled, “Such exquisite armor, and every piece is a Max Roll with full attributes.”

Wu Yong also took out a Skeleton Helmet and said in surprise, “Even though it’s only Common Armor, its attributes are no less impressive than Legendary Armor.”

Kamiyu wiped her nose excitedly and declared, “Of course! You should see whose work this is.”

Jack also took a helmet and put it on. Paired with his black armor, he looked even more imposing.

Kamiyu waved her hand dismissively. “I’ll make yours later. Common Tier isn’t worthy of you.”

Li Changde said reassuringly, “With this armor and the potions, our survival rate will increase significantly.”

Kamiyu immediately responded, “Guild Leader, you’re underestimating me. Although I don’t know how fierce or exaggerated this Hell Tide will be, I guarantee that unless some Level 50 old Monster shows up, not a single person will die.”

Li Changde widened his eyes. “Really?”

Wu Yong laughed skeptically. “The highest-level player right now, Lei Yao, is only Level 30. Where would a Level 50 Max Level player come from?”

Kamiyu shook her head, speaking meaningfully towards the direction of the Holy Light Cathedral from within the Guild Storage, “That may not necessarily be the case.”
