Chapter 208: Open Fire
Chapter 208: Open Fire
Inside the Sanctuary, the Artillery Position on the 15th floor of the apartment building was ready at any moment. Kamiyu’s earlier preparations had been far-sighted and were now proving useful, even offering significant assistance.
Fortunately, it was an open-air Instance Dungeon, allowing interference with the Aberrant Beast Demons inside from a distance.
What if the Aberrant Beast Demons inside the Instance Dungeon overflowed and escaped? According to the Crimson Earth’s mechanics, as long as the Dungeon Boss was eliminated, the Instance Dungeon would reset, sealing Pandora’s box once more.
Kamiyu thought to herself, “Thankfully, I brought Dunzi and Ji Yue from the Civil Engineering duo this time. Their roles in the upcoming battle will be crucial.”
She casually tossed a few pieces of Ancestral Legendary Armor and over a dozen Medium Health Restoration Potions to the three of them, saying, “Just in case, put these on.”
“Wow, Miss Kamiyu still has so much in stock?”
“This is Ancestral Legendary Armor. Now we don’t have to fear the Ironhead Red Giant.”
“Miss Jia said not to be afraid. Fear will make you lose for a lifetime.”
After waiting for the three to prepare, Kamiyu said to Dunzi, “Dunzi, surround the Stadium with earthen walls in a semicircle. Use at least three layers of walls to encircle them. I’m going to call for Magic Cannon fire.”
“Semicircle?” Dunzi asked, confused.
Kamiyu thought for a moment and said, “Imagine a wooden barrel missing a plank, or rotate the letter ‘C’ 90 degrees downward.”
Unfortunately, Kamiyu wasn’t very articulate and could only gesture vaguely.
Dunzi blinked, seeming to understand but not entirely sure if he had grasped Kamiyu’s meaning.
As a professional worker, regardless of whether he understood the Boss’s instructions, he had to respond immediately with “Okay,” “Got it,” or “I understand.”
Though not as seasoned, Dunzi said, “I’ll give it a try. If anything’s off, I’ll fix it right away.”
After acknowledging with a hum, Kamiyu turned to Ji Yue and asked, “Can you manipulate the grass on the field?”
Hearing Kamiyu’s question, everyone’s eyes lit up.
Before Ji Yue could answer, Chu Feng said, “Miss Kamiyu, what an impressive tactic.”
Even the Old Geezer Mephisto changed his perspective: “We can fight like this?”
Ji Yue immediately replied excitedly, “I can manipulate any plant. I can turn these small grasses into vines. Miss Kamiyu, do you want to lock them to the ground?”
Kamiyu nodded and said, “Exactly. Vines to bind their feet, cannons to bombard them, earthen walls to cut off their retreat, and my Hammer of the Thunder God—this is about pinning them down and slaughtering them.”
“Whether it’s a Red Giant or a Green Giant, under absolute firepower, they’ll all be forced to kneel.” Kamiyu directly pulled out the Dark Gold Tier Barrett Cannon—Sound of Chaos.
“Ooh, is this a Barrett? It seems even more powerful,” Chu Feng remarked, noticing the sacred Runes engraved on the Barrett Cannon.
“I can’t tell, but I sense an extraordinary aura emanating from this Weapon,” Dunzi said, his round eyes wide open.
Jack eagerly interjected, “According to your tactics, it seems like I have nothing to do. What can I do for you?”
Kamiyu said with a bloodthirsty grin, “How could you have nothing to do? Go down there and join the fun! Such a great leveling opportunity—go and slaughter them until not a single one remains.”
Jack widened his eyes, feeling a warmth in his heart. He didn’t want to be insignificant in Kamiyu’s eyes; he had always wanted to do something for her, not just stand there watching the show.
“Won’t this hit Big Brother Jack too?” Chu Feng asked in surprise.
Ji Yue also chimed in, “Isn’t this going too far? He’ll have to face Ability Users, Red Armored Special Goblins, Ironhead Red Giants, Magic Cannons, and even Miss Kamiyu’s attacks. How is he supposed to fight like this?”
“Exactly. Facing Aberrant Beast Demons and Ability Users alone is one thing, but now he has to deal with friendly fire too. That’s just too much,” Dunzi added.
Neither Crimson Earth nor the Real World had an option to disable friendly fire.
Hearing that Kamiyu needed him, Jack immediately lifted his head, his chiseled face gazing at the chaotic battle on the soccer field. Gripping his Doombringer tightly, he declared boldly, “I don’t mind.”
Kamiyu loved it when he flexed like this. Only with his muscular build and resolute expression could he pull off such a flex, even more impressive than Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.
The toughest of the tough.
“Incredible,” Chu Feng said in admiration.
Kamiyu explained to everyone, “Jack has triple-speed shoes. Even with a 50% speed reduction, he’ll still run faster than others. And the set I made for him allows for an infinite Golden Body—as long as he gets blood on him, he can keep tanking hits.”
Feeling it still wasn’t enough, Kamiyu immediately tossed ten pieces of Ancestral Legendary Armor to Jack, all with triple attributes from her personal collection.
“Don’t hold back. Go wild,” she said, standing on a spectator seat and patting Jack’s shoulder while on tiptoe.
Mephisto chimed in, “Hehehehe hahahaha, a feast of hatred awaits me. Hurry, hurry, I can’t stand it anymore. Release me, let me in!”
“Huh?” Kamiyu frowned deeply.
The Doombringer was practically dragging Jack down, hungrily devouring the intense hatred.
As the commander-in-chief, Kamiyu multitasked effortlessly.
“How are the Magic Cannon artillery on the 15th floor?” she asked.
“Coordinates are adjusted and ready to fire at any time,” Xiao Zhong replied.
“Good,” Kamiyu said, waving her hand at Dunzi and Ji Yue.
3, 2, 1—Kamiyu conducted like a music maestro.
Dunzi slammed both hands onto the ground, and semicircular earthen walls instantly rose, tightly enclosing the entire soccer field.
“Kaaah!” Dunzi shouted, sweat pouring from his forehead.
One layer, two layers, three layers—a total of ten meters thick of earthen walls surrounded the monster horde. This was no longer just a wall; it was a mountain of earth, a man-made cliff.
“Impressive. This is practically the power to move mountains and fill seas,” Kamiyu praised.
“My turn,” Ji Yue said, thrusting her Tree Vine Staff into the ground.
The soccer field’s grass instantly mutated, transforming into thick vines that grabbed the feet of all the Aberrant Beast Demons and Ability Users on the field, trapping them in place.
“What’s happening?” one Ability User asked.
“Is it reinforcements?”
“Reinforcements, my foot! What kind of reinforcements would tie up their own allies?”
Brother Baojun turned around and immediately spotted the most dazzling figure—Kamiyu. “What a beautiful woman, but what is she saying?”
From such a distance and with the deafening battle cries on the field, Brother Baojun couldn’t hear the pink-haired woman’s voice.
“Fire.” Kamiyu extended her arm forward with a commanding sweep, like a general.
The first volley erupted from the 35 cannons aimed toward the stadium.
“Boom, boom, boom, boom.” The deafening roar shook the entire floor.
Thirty-five ice-element Artillery Shells flew straight toward the stadium, crashing mercilessly onto the heads of the Monsters on the field.
