Chapter 80: I Object
Chapter 80: I Object
The healer class allows a small squad to venture further and is a tactical profession; whereas the Pharmacist class enables an entire guild to grow and strengthen, making it a strategic profession.
Kamiyu, with her Construction Sage Talent and Enhancement Talent, is far more than just a Pharmacist—that is merely her weakest playstyle.
Her true core strengths lie in her Blacksmith profession for crafting weapons and armor, and her Enchanter profession for bestowing affixes and skills onto weapons and armor.
Currently, brewing potions is just a small test. Once she completes the Sanctuary and truly establishes a foothold with a stable source of materials, that is when she will truly begin.
To give Crimson Earth a little taste of “munitions overproduction” shock.
“Led by the third-line teams, you’ve been clearing monsters near the main city without feeling any pressure, thinking this game is easy and monsters can be farmed casually.
But when there are no veterans to guide you and you truly enter an instance dungeon yourselves, you’ll realize just how terrifying Crimson Earth is.
Including our guild, there are only a few dozen healer-class players across all of Crimson Earth. What about everyone else? They have to rely on potions. With the help of a Pharmacist, the survival rate for all of us will greatly increase.
The Guild Leader is right; you’re living too comfortably now. I suggest the third-line teams take you directly into instance dungeons to experience the horror of Aberrant Beast Demons,” Debe said loudly.
Debe educated the newcomer players on the importance of one of Kamiyu’s identity playstyles—the Pharmacist—and those who had been questioning immediately fell silent.
The first- and second-line members who had truly ventured into instance dungeons and fought bloody battles against large, medium, and small dungeon bosses fully agreed with Debe’s words.
Healers are always others, but potions are always in your own hands. Life is only once and must be firmly grasped in your own hands.
At critical moments, a healer’s cooldown time can lead to many casualties. If you have a health restoration potion in hand, you can save your own life.
What Li Changde said next surprised everyone even more.
Li Changde stated, “Miss Kamier’s talent skills are extremely impressive. She has already prepared 2,000 minor health potions and 100 each of ice, fire, poison, lightning, and dark resistance potions for us in advance.”
“Hiss—”
Whispers and murmurs of discussion arose.
The new player members didn’t understand the significance of these numbers, but the first- and second-line map-clearing teams and the third-line exploration teams were very clear about what they meant.
And they were amazed at how Kamiyu, this “Pharmacist,” had managed to accomplish this.
“What? 2,000 health potions could be exchanged for five or six legendary weapons, and she’s giving them all to the guild?” exclaimed a member of the frontline team.
“Not to mention the 500 even more expensive resistance potions, just these 2,000 health potions alone are incredibly valuable.
I see she doesn’t have a single piece of legendary equipment on her—she’s giving everything to the guild without buying equipment for herself. Miss Kamier truly steps up when needed,” another member chimed in.
That’s right, Kamiyu is just that low-key, not flexing at all. She uses the appearance function to wear clothes from the real world, overlaying and covering up the equipment from Crimson Earth.
Other veteran players can’t wait to show off their full sets of legendary equipment to make other players think they’re impressive.
Other new players equip as many common-tier items as they have to make others think they’re not to be trifled with.
Only Kamiyu, in her pursuit of remaining low-key and avoiding any showiness, had all her Legendary Equipment and Ancestral Legendary Tier gear completely covered and disguised with clothing from the real world.
In her backpack, she also carried two even more understated weapons: the NTW-40 and the Demon-Repelling Holy Flame, which outwardly resembled an M870 shotgun.
Others might assume they were just ordinary weapons from the real world, but in truth, they were Legendary Equipment. Enhanced by Kamiyu’s modified talents, they even possessed skill-like affixes, with actual DPS performance far surpassing that of typical Ancestral Legendary Weapons—capable of taking down a Dungeon Boss with a single shot.
Kamiyu’s whole approach was centered on staying low-key.
“This output is incredible, even more impressive than a workhorse from a production team,” another member remarked.
“Don’t talk nonsense. Miss Kamier is now a distinguished guest of our Guild,” Vice Guild Leader Wu Yong warned.
Wu Yong had changed his biased view of Kamiyu. He had initially thought she was the Guild Leader’s lover, never imagining she would turn out to be such a talented “Pharmacist.”
In his mind, Wu Yong quickly calculated: “With 500 Resistance Potions and 2000 Health Restoration Potions, our map-clearing efficiency could increase threefold, and material output could rise five times.
Thanks to Miss Kamier’s assistance, all our first and second-tier teams could fully clear Instance Dungeon maps and collect all materials from them, even tackling monsters they previously avoided due to health concerns.
With her help, our Guild could truly take off.”
“Moreover, Miss Kamier’s output exceeds the combined production of several other Closed Beta Guilds and Squads.
The number of potions she has already provided accounts for 70% of the total market value.”
“Judging solely by her demeanor and behavior, she seems no different from a newcomer player. Yet, a new Game Player suddenly produces potions worth 70% of the total market value—her Talent must be at least A Tier or higher,” Wu Yong mused inwardly.
Before Li Changde could finish speaking, he continued, “Now, with Miss Kamier joining us, our Guild’s strength is sure to reach new heights.”
“With Health Restoration Potions and Resistance Potions, we need to make the following changes to our strategy.”
“All members participating in Instance Dungeons or clearing wild monsters must hand over all Dropped Items, including materials and herbs, to the Logistics Department.”
As soon as these words were spoken, Veteran Players had no objections, but many newly joined Newcomer Players, who still lacked a sense of belonging, reacted strongly.
“I object. Before, we could keep a little for ourselves. Why do we have to hand everything over now?” the same player who had questioned Kamiyu earlier was the first to speak up again.
“Yeah, this isn’t fair. If we hand everything over, what do we have left? Aren’t we just working for free?” another player questioned.
Kamiyu’s earlier concern finally materialized: taking all the materials would provoke a strong reaction, as not everyone would accept it.
Her heart pounded nervously, and she frowned, wondering how President Li would explain.
But the next words put Kamiyu in an awkward position.
A “clever” player thought for a moment and loudly declared, “Guild Leader, you’re being too biased, mobilizing the entire Guild’s resources just to please that Pharmacist beside you.”
“What is this called? It’s called ‘draining the Guild’s resources to curry favor with someone else.’ Don’t you all agree?”
Kamiyu widened her eyes. With such a famous quote being invoked, did she really have that much influence?
Just as the Vice Guild Leader was about to speak up to explain on behalf of the Guild Leader, Li Changde’s most loyal supporter, Debei, shouted angrily, “Do not question the Guild Leader’s decision. If you’re dissatisfied, you can leave the Guild. We won’t stop you.
And the same goes for everyone else. This is a critical moment. Anyone who disagrees or is unhappy with the rules can leave.”
The new Players who had been causing a stir all fell silent, not daring to utter a word.
Kamiyu raised an eyebrow, thinking to herself, “Well done. That’s exactly how you should shut them up.”
Meanwhile, in the Real World.
While Jack was rearranging the defenses of their hidden Storage, he also took the opportunity to eliminate any traces along the way.
“Kamiyu is too conspicuous. Even with a Hat covering her pink hair, many people still turn to look at her.”
As Jack was erasing traces, he actually discovered someone was following them.
“A van. Too bad it gave itself away. At this time of day, there shouldn’t be such a vehicle at the docks. And judging by the load, it’s carrying people, not goods,” Jack thought to himself.
“Reporting, Officer. The target has entered the logistics park. When do we move?”
“No rush. Wait for General Lei Yao’s instructions. He’s in charge of this operation now.”
“But General Lei Yao… it’s been over 36 hours since he last contacted us. Should we continue waiting?”
……
Jack stealthily approached, skillfully picking up his silenced Pistol. “Reading a newspaper during prime time? Have any of you ever worked as dock laborers? You don’t even know how to stay hidden. What a bunch of useless fools.”
With that, Jack opened fire.
