Chapter 26: Simultaneous Creation Count Increase

Chapter 26: Simultaneous Creation Count Increase

Original: Chapter 26: Simultaneous Creation Count Increase

Day after day, I continue my relentless Dungeon commuting without getting tired of it. All I do is make Potions.

It’s been about two weeks since I defeated the Flare Lizard.

My Experience Points keep accumulating, and I’m earning money too.

“It’s all thanks to being able to create 2 Potions simultaneously.”

It’s incredibly efficient. That makes it even more fun.

Oh, about the Blazer and Blouse I had left with Miss Marta – they really were restored to perfect condition. They looked as good as new.

“The technical skills of the Dungeonfolk are truly amazing.”

Whether it’s a Skill specialized for Dungeonfolk, or some kind of Magic, or maybe they’re just a Race that’s naturally good at sewing.

“I don’t understand any of it, but it’s amazing nonetheless.”

Now I don’t have to worry about my clothes during Dungeon Conquest. There’s no problem coming to the Dungeon in my School Uniform after school.

By the way, Female Students who are serious about Dungeon Conquest change into clothes that are easier to move in, or buy clothes with increased Defense Power from the Dungeonfolk.

“My School Uniform is perfectly fine though.”

After all, what I mostly do is make Potions, so it’s rare for my School Uniform to get torn or cut.

“Ah, the Potion is done.”

Since I was making two simultaneously, both finished at the same time. Exactly 25 minutes for completion.

“Oh, I leveled up. I’m Level 40 now.”

I allocated my Skill Points to strengthening 〈Potion Create〉. Then, an unfamiliar message popped up.

“Potion Simultaneous Creation Count has increased to 3.”

Huh—

I checked again.

“Potion Simultaneous Creation Count has increased to 3.”

I wasn’t seeing things. Is that really possible?

“Two was already amazing. Is three really okay? Really?”

My heart started pounding. I naturally began grinning. I might be making a pretty creepy expression. But I couldn’t help grinning.

I started running. I ran and burst into the Plaza. Then I headed toward Miss Rilril’s Street Stall.

Miss Rilril noticed me quite early and showed me a smile.

“Miss Sayuki, welcome back!”

“I’m back! Um, um!”

Since I came to the Street Stall with quite some momentum, Miss Rilril looked a bit surprised.

“D-did something happen?”

Looking at my expression, she seemed to sense something.

“Something good happened, didn’t it?”

“Yes! Actually, it seems my Potion Simultaneous Creation Count increased to 3.”

“Wow, that’s amazing! Congratulations!”

“Thank you. It really is amazing, isn’t it?”

“Yes, of course it is. It’s wonderful that you’re growing so steadily. But being able to make 3 Potions simultaneously means—”

Ah, right. I forgot about that.

“I see. I need Empty Bottles.”

“That’s right.”

Empty Bottles are quite rare in this world. They’re provided by the Dungeon God. Even if I bought random empty bottles from a store on Earth, they wouldn’t work here.

“How should I go about getting Empty Bottles?”

“Well, I think you’ll have to do Quests. However, whether there happens to be a Quest where you can get Empty Bottles…”

“I see. I’ll go take a look. Oh, can you buy these Potions?”

“Of course. They’re always helpful.”

I sold two Potions. The payment for the Potions came to me.

Then all the bottles I possessed became Empty Bottles again, and my Potions moved to the Empty Bottles that Miss Rilril possessed.

I immediately started making the next Potions.

“Well then, I’m off to search for Empty Bottles.”

“Good luck! Just don’t push yourself too hard!”

“Okay!”

I headed toward the back center of the Plaza. As always, this place is bustling. There are lots of students from nearby schools, both girls and boys, and plenty of adults too.

I went to an area with fewer people and checked the Tablets. I carefully examined them one by one.

“This one’s no good. The Reward is just money. This one is money and some Materials— Oh, this one gives Skill Points. Maybe I’ll do it later.”

I checked several, but there were no Quests where I could get Empty Bottles.

“It really doesn’t seem like something you can get so easily.”

I saw some high school girls heading toward Passage 2, looking like they were having fun. They’re probably upperclassmen. They were chattering excitedly and looked really happy.

“We’re so lucky there’s a Special Quest!”

“Yeah, Empty Bottles are pretty rare, so let’s definitely get them!”

I heard that conversation. They definitely just said Empty Bottles. Which Quest could it be?

The Tablet those high school girls were looking at was…

In the most crowded area. I immediately went to read it.

“Hi there! It’s me, the Dungeon God. You know that long river way down Passage 2? There are Crayfish there, and they’re pretty tasty. So I want to fry them or boil them with salt to serve to my friends, but it’s too much trouble to go catch them myself, so sorry to ask, but could you hunt some for me? Thanks! Oh, and I’d be in trouble if too many were hunted, so it’s limited to 20 groups! Today only!”

Thud. The tone is as light and lackadaisical as always.

“Recommended Conquest Level: 35. Beginners absolutely must not accept this Quest!”

And the crucial Reward was—

“Reward: Empty Bottle (I’m being super generous!)”

“I absolutely have to do this.”

It’s an Empty Bottle acquisition Quest that I want so badly I could reach out and grab it.

Other people were also looking at this Quest and seemed troubled. The bottleneck appears to be the Recommended Conquest Level. They’re short by 20 levels, or 30 levels. Everyone seems to have pretty low Levels.

Even so, they were discussing whether they could manage with sheer numbers.

While everyone was deliberating, I accepted the Quest. It seems the capacity was exceeded, and the Quest Tablet sank into the ground.

“That was just barely safe.”

There were lots of disappointed “Aww” sounds from the surroundings. All voices saying they should have accepted it instead of hesitating.

“Hehehe, these things are first come, first served.”

I reported to Miss Rilril just to be safe.

The Stream that’s the Quest’s setting apparently flows all the way from the Red Zone, which is a Danger Zone of the Dungeon. So she advised me not to follow the river too far and go too deep into the Dungeon.

I replied “Okay!” and headed toward Passage 2.
