Chapter 93: You’ve Got Some Nerve!
Chapter 93: You've Got Some Nerve!
Original: Chapter 93: You’ve Got Some Nerve!
It was decided that Miss Himeka and I would return from the Dungeon together.
How many years had it been since I last went home with someone? At the very least, it hadn’t happened during middle school, so it must have been since elementary school.
I left the street stall area in a happy mood and headed for the Dungeon exit.
That’s when it happened. An unpleasant voice that would shatter my happy mood reached my ears.
“Hey, look, a classmate. Yo, got a sec? Hey, you. Hey! You there, the gloomy one with black hair!”
…She’s definitely talking about me, but I’ll just ignore her. She didn’t call my name, after all.
“Hey. Hey, I’m talking to you. Listen up. Damn, what a pain.”
Ugh. She cut me off from the front. It’s that red-haired classmate. She’s wearing Western-style Armor on her upper body. Her Weapon is a Spear. A Shield is equipped on her arm. I immediately checked her weapons and armor—maybe I’ve gotten pretty accustomed to fighting.
But… sigh… good grief…
This Red-Haired Girl is one of the ones who left me behind in the Red Zone before.
Ah… the other three were approaching from behind me. Ugh, no… This is such a bother.
“…Sigh. Was the person you were calling me?”
“Don’t look so obviously annoyed. And were you ignoring me even though you heard me? You’re still such a pain.”
“There are plenty of people with black hair in Japan, so how could you know it was me? Besides, you didn’t call my name.”
“Pain. I haven’t memorized your name yet. I’m the type to put off remembering the names of plain classmates. Well, I’ll remember it by summer break.”
Sigh… So she hadn’t even remembered my name.
Ah, but well… I guess it’s mutual. What was this person’s name again? Hmm, I can’t remember.
Well, names don’t matter. Let’s just end this conversation quickly. Otherwise, my happy mood right now will be ruined.
“So, what do you want with me? Did you just come to give me a hard time?”
“No way. I’m not that much of a slacker. I came to get a Potion. Give it to me. ‘Kay?”
“Huh?”
She held out her hand to me as if it were only natural that I’d give it to her.
“There’s no way I’m giving you one.”
For starters, my Potions are in the middle of being Created. Either way, I don’t have a single one to give right now.
“Huh? So you’re saying you’re gonna rip me off for a huge sum again?”
“I didn’t say that.”
“Well, but, this time it’s different from before—we’re not in the Red Zone. The going rate for Potions in this Plaza applies. So, how about 1,000 Pon, with a little extra on top?”
“I’m not selling.”
“…Then 2,000 Pon.”
“I said I’m not selling.”
“…5,000 Pon. I can’t go higher than this.”
“I wouldn’t sell even for 1 million Pon. Give up and ask someone else.”
“Huh? You getting full of yourself? For a plain, low-tier character!”
The Red-Haired Girl was furious. I don’t think she needs to glare at me like I’m her parents’ murderer or something.
Whoa, the Red-Haired Girl swung her Spear back with all her might. She’s definitely aiming for my neck.
My Fighting Instinct surged instantly.
If I don’t kill, I’ll definitely be killed. My head was filled with the natural law of survival of the fittest that I’d learned all too well in this Dungeon.
“If I say I want it, a low-tier character should obediently hand over what they’ve got! That’s what the survival-of-the-fittest Dungeon is all about!”
The Spear tip closed in on my neck.
I reflexively dodged the Spear with minimal movement. Then I grabbed the Spear’s shaft, pulled, and closed the distance between me and the Red-Haired Girl in one go.
My right fist sank into the Red-Haired Girl.
Ah, I ended up punching her. I thought, “Oh no…” but even without thinking, I couldn’t come up with any particular reason to pull my fist back. Well, whatever, I’ll just follow through with the punch.
“Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!”
Whoa, she went flying while making a weird sound. How far did she fly? I think she flew over 3 meters easily. Maybe 4 or 5 meters.
My punch was that strong…? It’s more than just surprising, considering I was just a quiet girl not too long ago.
The Red-Haired Girl’s Spear remained in my hand.
You normally wouldn’t let go of your Weapon so easily… Well, whatever. No need to lecture her. I don’t want a Spear from someone like that, so I just tossed it away far into the distance. It flew far enough that I could probably be a javelin thrower. It rolled all the way to the Dungeon wall.
“Kyaa~! Little Sayuki, you’re so cool~!”
Miss Himeka praised me in a cute voice.
Wait, huh? There’s an audience forming. Lots of adults, students, girls, and guys.
And the people in the audience were voicing their impressions. “That was an awesome straight punch just now!” “She looks quiet, but she had incredible fighting spirit!” “I prefer the big-boobed lady.” Wait, that last one is about Miss Himeka, and it’s just a sexual harassment comment.
Things started getting noisy, and the people around us became interested. More and more people were gathering.
This might be turning into a big deal…
