Chapter 97: Aftermath of the Event Quest
Chapter 97: Aftermath of the Event Quest
Original: Chapter 97: Aftermath of the Event Quest
I think I’m getting pretty used to walking outside with just a tracksuit over my bare skin. Thinking such thoughts, I returned home.
I took off my tracksuit, exposing my bare skin. Ah, this feeling of liberation… I even tossed my panties aside and basked in that sense of freedom for a while.
Shortly after, I heard the sound of the bath being ready, so I prepared my change of clothes and got in.
“Ahh, this shower feels so good~”
A shower after a fight is incredibly refreshing. Humming a tune, I carefully washed every inch of my skin.
Ah, come to think of it, I remember Miss Himeka complimenting my figure.
“Hmm… Even looking in the mirror, I don’t really feel any awareness of it…”
How should I put it… it’s the kind of figure that makes you worry, ‘Where on earth did you leave your sex appeal?’ Maybe it’s just because I’m comparing it to Miss Himeka’s figure.
Miss Himeka’s… well, her chest’s appeal is just on another level… Even as a fellow girl, I found my eyes drawn to it.
“I wonder if I’ll ever become like that. A figure like hers.”
For some reason, I ended up phrasing it like an inversion. Well, whatever. I carefully washed my hair while recalling Miss Himeka’s naked body.
Once I got into the bathtub, I zoned out for a while, not thinking about anything.
“Fuuhe~… This feeling of total relaxation is the best~…”
I wish our bath at home was bigger. How luxurious would that be~?
Someday, I’d love to use the money from selling Potions to build a wonderful house with a large bath. If I keep commuting to the Dungeon even after becoming an adult, maybe I’ll be able to afford it eventually.
“And someday, even if it’s just once, I’d love to take a bath with Miss Himeka~”
We’d wash off the sweat we worked up together in the Dungeon. I bet it would be a wonderful time.
If only I could become even closer with Miss Himeka. Someday—.
I picked up my Smartphone. Maybe I’ll look up some information about the Dead Adventurer I fought today.
“Hmm, hmm… Let’s see… The Dead Adventurer is a Monster exclusive to Event Quests. Originally, it’s a weak skeleton Monster that just floats around like a ghost, but reports indicate it gains a significant power-up if it picks up the Weapon or Armor of a deceased Adventurer.”
So it’s originally weak. We really struggled to defeat it…
“Furthermore, according to the investigation team, the Dead Adventurer seems to read the memories of the Adventurer whose Weapon and Armor it possesses. Because of this, investigation results show its fighting style and personality often become nearly identical to that of the deceased Adventurer.”
It was incredibly skilled in combat, wasn’t it? Its maneuvering was beyond just being ‘dangerous’.
Looking a bit more, it seems that Dungeons generally have ghost-type Monsters appearing here and there at night. The Dead Adventurer is one type of those ghosts. Some are even gaseous, apparently. That’s scary.
“Let’s see, the continuation is… Hmm, hmm… Since the fighting style of Dead Adventurers varies by individual, there is no clear-cut strategy for conquering them.”
Huh~, I see.
“In some cases, certain individuals display movements showing unbelievable combat experience. Therefore, the Recommended Conquest Level is not very reliable. Especially for Solo attempts, one should always challenge them at a Level exceeding the recommendation by at least 10.”
Ah, I get it. The Dead Adventurer I fought also had no openings and was strong. Especially the way it used Magic almost like a surprise attack really flustered me.
Recalling the fight made me remember that chilling sensation. The feeling of being slashed by the Dead Adventurer. It’s kind of irritating me. My Fighting Instinct is welling up from within my body.
Ugh, now I want to go to the Dungeon again.
Calm down, calm down, me—. This is my home bath. It’s a place to relax. Not a place to bare my Fighting Instinct.
I calmed my feelings and continued reading the Strategy Info.
“For the reasons stated above, recklessly challenging a Dead Adventurer with brute force is not recommended. It’s better to prepare thoroughly, gather numbers, carefully devise a strategy for each individual, and take your time fighting.”
Yeah, I think so too. Dead Adventurers are just too strong. I heard many people gave up on conquering them, so it’s probably best not to push yourself.
I placed my Smartphone somewhere dry. Then, stretching out both arms, I went, “Uuun,” and stretched.
“The Dead Adventurer’s Magic was so cool. I’d like to learn it too.”
Also, Bombs were effective, so I think I’ll carry a few with me regularly from now on.
That Event Quest was quite a good experience. I feel like I grew a lot as an Adventurer through this Event Quest.

The next day, after the classes that were nothing but sleepiness finally ended, it was Lunch Break.
I tapped my textbook and notebook on the desk to align them, then put them inside.
“Yahhoo, Miss Chiyusakiii~”
“Ah, Miss Tobisaki.”
I was spoken to by Miss Tobisaki, whose long black hair and glasses suited her well. My sleepiness flew away somewhere.
“Hey, Miss Chiyusaki, did you do yesterday’s Event Quest?”
“Yeah, I did.”
“Did you Clear it?”
“Somehow, yeah.”
“Wow, amazing.”
Clap clap clap—though no sound came out, she blessed me with cute applause.
“I heard only strong Monsters appeared in that one, right? It’s great you managed to defeat them~”
“It was tough, but I wasn’t alone.”
“Oh? So that means you got to go to the Dungeon with Senior Shirogane. Congratulations~!”
Clap clap clap—she blessed me cutely again. Miss Tobisaki is a good person.
Huh, Miss Tobisaki sent a glance toward the back of the classroom. Over there are the seats of those awful people who left me behind in the Red Zone. I didn’t really want to look.
“Those people apparently couldn’t Clear it.”
“Huh~”
I knew they were struggling, but it seems they ultimately couldn’t Clear it after that. I thought I’d tell Miss Himeka.
“I heard they persisted until late at night but still couldn’t Clear it. Something about being completely drained… That’s why they’re all absent today, apparently.”
“Eh, they’re absent?”
I looked back. Indeed, no one was at their seats. Come to think of it, I realized I hadn’t heard their voices even once today.
…But, are they really just absent? Yesterday, the violence issue was reported to the school via the Student Council President, so maybe they got suspended or something. But maybe, feeling ashamed to tell their friends they were suspended, they used failing to conquer the Event Quest as an excuse. That seems highly likely.
“Well, whatever.”
“Ehh~… Miss Chiyusaki, try to take a bit more interest in your classmates.”
Even if you say that, they’re people I dislike. I don’t even want to remember their names.
“As long as Miss Tobisaki is friendly with me, that alone is more than enough to make me happy.”
“Eh—? Ah… uwa… um… that… w-well, I’m happy I can be friends with you too, Miss Chiyusaki!”
Ah, ahaha…? Miss Tobisaki’s face is bright red. Did she take it as some kind of confession or something?
But, well, it’s fine. Miss Tobisaki looks happy.
Ah, Miss Tobisaki’s friend has come to the classroom.
“Ah, sorry. I’m going for lunch now. Let’s talk again later.”
“Okay. I’m going for lunch too.”
I haven’t bought bread yet today. It’s gotten pretty late, but I hope I can buy something tasty.
Huh, my Smartphone vibrated, which is rare.To my surprise, Miss Himeka had sent me a message saying, “I’m off to the Dungeon, forsooth!” She even added a sticker of a rabbit holding a Sword.
I replied with “So jealous~” but didn’t get a response for a while. Once you enter a Dungeon, you lose signal.
I wonder if the day will come when I, too, grow to love Dungeons enough to visit one during lunch break. With that thought in mind, I left the classroom.
Alright, to fully enjoy my After School Dungeon Conquest, I’m going to recharge my energy to the max!
Thank you so much for reading this far!
I’ve managed to complete up to the second series. I’d be truly happy if you’ve been enjoying it.
As for what comes next, since my backlog is nearly depleted, I’ve decided to take a break from serialization here at this natural stopping point.
From here on, Sayuki is set to grow rapidly as a proper protagonist, but I hope she’ll strive to remain a Girl in the Bloom of Youth without getting too overly muscular.
Still, oh, I can’t help wondering about the Kakuyomu Con results…
Well then, until we meet again~
