Chapter 18 – Legendary Equipment!
Chapter 18 – Legendary Equipment!
One day later, deep in the wilderness, a five-person team was cautiously advancing.
This five-person team was extremely powerful.
Each member was a 1st Turn Level 100 Expert at Perfection!
Yet even such a formidable team had to proceed with caution after entering the deepest parts of the wilderness.
They remained constantly vigilant against powerful Ghost Creatures and the sudden onslaught of Ghost Tides.
Whoosh!
“Let’s take a break!”
The team leader, a burly man, halted his steps. His breath was slightly ragged; the prolonged journey had greatly depleted his energy.
Zhang Kui waved his hand, then found a large black rock to sit cross-legged on, beginning to restore his energy.
The other four members of the team also breathed a sigh of relief; they too were nearing their limits.
In the deepest parts of the wilderness, everyone’s minds remained in a state of high tension.
Over time, this inevitably led to exhaustion!
“Captain, we’ve been in the ‘deepest wilderness’ for half a month now. When are we heading back?”
After the four team members sat down, one of the young men, Wang Yu, complained.
He was almost at his breaking point.
Over the past half month, the team had eliminated four BOSSes, dealt with two sudden Ghost Tides.
There was also one instance of Yin Soldiers passing through, during which they nearly became trapped and unable to escape.
The other three also looked at the captain, clearly sharing the desire to retreat.
Zhang Kui stroked his heavily bearded chin, glanced at the exhausted group, and said with a bitter smile:
“In another two days… we’ll head back!”
He too understood that if they didn’t withdraw from the ‘deepest wilderness’ soon, the team might encounter problems.
Upon hearing this, the four relaxed, their bodies easing.
Wang Yu even chuckled.
They had gained quite a few high-grade pieces of equipment this time. Selling them back in Ghost Mountain City would fetch a large sum of money, enough for him to indulge for a while.
Thinking of the luxurious life ahead, Wang Yu relaxed.
“Watch out!”
“Someone’s here!”
Zhang Kui suddenly shouted, alerting the four.
The four, who had just relaxed, immediately tensed up again.
Swoosh!
A moment later.
A figure emerged from the forest.
This figure had a youthful face and an ordinary aura. Although also a 1st Turn Level 100 Expert, his aura showed no signs of Amplification—he was merely an ordinary 1st Turn Level 100 Expert.
“Hah! I thought it was some formidable Expert!”
Seeing the newcomer, Wang Yu couldn’t help but curl his lip, his body relaxing once more.
Each of the five members in Zhang Kui’s team had aura Amplifications of either 20x or 30x!
Even the weakest, Wang Yu, had a 10x aura Amplification, thanks to a piece of Dark Gold Equipment!
The young man before them had no aura Amplification at all—just an ordinary 1st Turn Level 100 Expert.
“Kid, you gave us a scare. Shouldn’t you compensate us?”
Seeing the young man emerge from the forest and prepare to continue on his way, Wang Yu spoke up, making him halt.
The young man frowned, turning his head to look at Wang Yu and the other four.
Zhang Kui, however, waved his hand and smiled, cupping his hands toward the young man. “A misunderstanding! Your Excellency, please carry on!”
Hearing this.
The young man nodded, paid no further attention to Zhang Kui’s group, and with another leap, disappeared into the distant forest.
After the young man left,
Wang Yu said discontentedly, “Captain, why let that kid go? It was such a good opportunity to shake him down!”
Zhang Kui rebuked him, “In the ‘deepest wilderness,’ don’t stir up unnecessary trouble!”
Wang Yu paid no mind, thinking only that his captain was being overly cautious.
…
In the mountain forest.
Ye Sheng was traveling, the very same young man with ordinary aura from earlier.
“This Disguiser’s Ring is truly useful!”
While traveling, Ye Sheng glanced at a golden bracelet on his wrist.
This golden bracelet was precisely the ‘Legendary Grade Equipment’ that had dropped not long ago.
Named the ‘Disguiser’s Ring’.
It possessed numerous functional attributes.
Firstly, this ‘Disguiser’s Ring’ was a Spatial Bracelet.
Its internal space was extremely large, as big as ten football fields combined.
Far beyond comparison to the cheap Spatial Bracelets the Federation had distributed for free before.
With such a large space, Ye Sheng would no longer have to worry about having too much equipment and nowhere to store it.
Secondly,
this ‘Disguiser’s Ring’ also had two divine-level skills: Disguise and Evasion.
Disguise could alter one’s own aura to mimic any other aura.
Ye Sheng had tried it and could actually disguise his own aura to that of a 3rd Revolution Ghost General Realm Expert; anything higher was not possible.
It seemed limited by his own Level.
Earlier, when Zhang Kui and the others sensed he was merely an ordinary 1st Revolution Level 100 Cultivator, it was thanks to this ‘Disguiser’s Ring’.
Evasion!
This was even more incredible.
It allowed the wearer to briefly enter a state of evasion, becoming invisible to the naked eye and completely concealing their aura, lasting for 3 seconds.
Although it only provided 3 seconds of invisibility, it was a divine assassination skill.
Three seconds might seem short, but it was enough time for an Expert to kill someone dozens of times over.
“What a pity!”
“For an assassin, this ‘Disguiser’s Ring’ would be a divine artifact, but for me… it’s rather dispensable!”
Ye Sheng shook his head, somewhat disappointed.
Still, it was a Legendary Tier equipment after all, of astonishing value!
“Not far from Thunder Mountain Gorge now!”
Ye Sheng confirmed his direction.
He was heading to Thunder Mountain Gorge for Tribulation Crossing.
The environment of Thunder Mountain Gorge was extremely unique, possessing a peculiar magnetic field that could disrupt the Heavenly Thunder Tribulation, weakening its power to a certain extent.
Many Experts, when undergoing tribulation, would seek out such special natural environments to increase their chances of successful Tribulation Crossing.
The Heavenly Thunder Tribulation was extremely perilous; one could never be too cautious.
Ye Sheng would rather travel for a day to reach ‘Thunder Mountain Gorge’ than arrogantly undergo the tribulation directly.
“After all, this is my first time undergoing tribulation, with no Experience whatsoever. It’s better to be safe!”
Ye Sheng said prudently.
Half an hour later.
Ye Sheng finally arrived at Thunder Mountain Gorge.
Thunder Mountain Gorge was barren, with scorched black rocks.
This was due to Experts frequently undergoing tribulations here; when the Heavenly Thunder Tribulation struck, it would reduce all surrounding trees and vegetation to ashes.
Thunder Mountain Gorge was silent and still.
Seeing no one around, Ye Sheng breathed a sigh of relief. He did not want to be disturbed while undergoing tribulation.
The Heavenly Thunder Tribulation was dangerous enough; if interrupted midway, it could be fatal!
“Right here then!”
Ye Sheng casually found a large black rock to sit cross-legged on, his expression immediately turning serious.
He extended his hand, and a white light sphere appeared in his palm.
The white light sphere emitted a soft glow.
Ye Sheng focused his gaze and saw a ‘white feather’ floating within the white light sphere.
It was precisely the ‘Class Advancement Item’ that had dropped from the ‘Headless Ghost King’.
“So this is the Celestial Master’s Class Advancement Item?!”
Ye Sheng examined it curiously.
Class Advancement Items varied greatly, all sorts of strange and wonderful things existed!
For example, for a warrior, the Class Advancement Item might be a broken longsword,
or perhaps a damaged axe.
They came in all shapes and forms.
“I wonder what meaning this white feather holds?!”
Ye Sheng muttered to himself, staring intently at the white feather.
“Forget it, no more thinking! The true way is to cross the tribulation and step into the 2nd Revolution Ghost Master Realm as soon as possible!”
Thinking this, Ye Sheng took a deep breath.
He had yearned for the 2nd Revolution Ghost Master Realm for a long time!
