Chapter 129: Taiyin Sword-Tip

Chapter 129: Taiyin Sword-Tip

The vehicle stopped in an area strewn with rubble.

Rows of armored soldiers stood straight on both sides, guarding the Starlight Distortion Land.

The group got out of the car. Jiang Changkong looked around and saw nothing but stones.

Ahead, the space seemed misaligned—the stones appeared to overlap, as if only half of them were visible.

The space was distorted and twisted together. Jiang Changkong felt his vision blur; the space ahead looked like a tangled mess of twisted dough.

Among these soldiers, the weakest were at the Star Sea Level, with several at the Star Gate Level and one or two at the Star Vault Level, though all were at the early stages.

“Don’t stare too long, or you’ll go blind.”

Nantian Wang lowered his head and whispered.

Jiang Changkong closed his eyes, feeling a slight soreness in them.

He glanced to the side and saw two other vehicles. Besides the drivers, there were fifteen people—seven young and eight middle-aged.

“Second Brother.”

“Elder Brother.”

“Uncle Lin.”

The three who had bought spots from Jiang Changkong immediately ran over.

Jiang Changkong looked stunned.

Luo Yunchen smiled faintly. “The spots in Anding Province were gone, so we had to come buy from you.”

“Now that everyone’s here, I won’t say much. Hand over your jade pendants to these soldiers, then go in.”

Jiang Haibo’s expression remained unpleasant. After saying this, he got back into the car.

“Hand over your pendants and let’s go. Don’t stare anymore; stay close to me.”

Nantian Wang took the hands of two middle-aged men and spoke.

One of the middle-aged men held Jiang Changkong’s hand, while the other held Luo Yunchen’s.

Jiang Changkong handed over his pendant and looked to the other side, where people were also holding hands.

“Watch your steps. Follow exactly, without the slightest mistake.”

One of the middle-aged men said gravely.

“Understood, Uncle Liu.” Luo Yunchen replied politely.

Jiang Changkong nodded without speaking.

The five of them moved forward hand in hand, with Uncle Liu leading the way.

Within a few steps, they reached the edge of the distorted space.

Jiang Changkong watched as Uncle Liu stepped inside and disappeared, leaving only a hand visible outside, holding Nantian Wang’s hand.

Nantian Wang followed carefully, entering the Starlight Distortion Land.

Jiang Changkong didn’t act recklessly either. No matter how confident he was, he wasn’t confident enough to navigate freely in a misaligned space.

Stepping into the distorted space, Jiang Changkong felt as if he had entered another world—a very narrow one.

It was less than eight hundred meters in diameter, smaller than the training grounds of Jiangcheng Martial Arts School.

The space was empty, filled with scattered stones and a dead silence, devoid of any signs of life.

At the far end of the space was a pale expanse, like a white wall.

“There’s probably nothing in this space. There’s no trace of scorching sun energy, so the Yang Stones aren’t here.”

Uncle Liu looked at the scattered stones and spoke.

“Should we split up here?” the other middle-aged man asked.

Uncle Liu nodded. “Yes. I’ll take Young Master Tianwang and Changkong. Old Luo, you take Young Master Yunchen.”

“There’s no need to take me. I’d like to walk alone.”

Jiang Changkong spoke up.

“Your strength is decent, but there are quite a few late-stage Star Vault cultivators here this time.” Nantian Wang frowned.

“It’s fine. In the Starlight Distortion Land, if I can’t win, I’ll just run.”

Jiang Changkong took out the Guidestone. At that moment, the stone lit up, and a golden arrow appeared on its surface, pointing in a specific direction.

“By the way, the Guidestone can only last for five days. Within five days, whether you find anything or not, follow the arrow to leave.”

Nantian Wang added, “You’re probably the only one who doesn’t know this.”

Jiang Changkong’s lips twitched. Jiang Haibo, you petty-minded fellow, you didn’t even give a heads-up.

“Changkong, think it through carefully. It’s safer to stick with us,” Luo Yunchen said.

“No need,” Jiang Changkong replied.

“Alright then.” Seeing that he couldn’t persuade Jiang Changkong, Nantian Wang added, “Guidestones can sense each other. A silver arrow will appear to point the way, but they can’t sense each other within the same space.”

“Thank you.”

Jiang Changkong expressed his gratitude, deciding to go easy on Fatty Nan when he pummeled him later.

The four of them said nothing more, and the two left together.

Jiang Changkong watched as they reached the edge of an area, stepped into the pale void, and disappeared.

Standing on the rubble, Jiang Changkong’s gaze pierced through the stones as a black-and-white Taiji Diagram surged from within him.

Hum

The Taiji Diagram rapidly expanded, waves of Star Power sweeping outward, scattering the rubble and revealing the pitted ground.

There was nothing there—just a pile of stones.

“Seems like finding the blood won’t be easy either.”

Muttering to himself, Jiang Changkong quickly approached the pale void and stepped inside.

The scenery shifted, and he arrived in another space. This one was even smaller, only six hundred meters in diameter.

Roar

A roar echoed through the air as a Star Demon, radiating powerful Star Power, lunged straight at him.

“Star Gate Initial Stage.”

Jiang Changkong flicked his finger, releasing a burst of Star Power that transformed into a blade of light.

The Star Demon turned into a mist of blood, and a Star Stone fell to the ground.

After dealing with the Star Demon, Jiang Changkong surveyed the space. This one was also filled with stones, though they were larger this time.

Not minding the effort, Jiang Changkong once again channeled his Star Power, activating the Spirit Control Art to lift all the stones into the air.

Boom

A massive boulder exploded, Star Power detonating as a terrifying shockwave swept in all directions, shaking the ground.

Clang!

A sword cry rang out, like the unsheathing of a peerless divine blade. A terrifying sword aura, radiating an indestructible intent, stirred the entire space.

Hum

The sword cry reverberated throughout the space, turning every stone it passed into dust suspended in midair.

“Hmm?”

Jiang Changkong’s gaze sharpened. He actually felt a faint stinging sensation.

His Indestructible Vajra Body had reached perfection. Unless it was a Star Vault late-stage expert, breaking his defenses would be difficult.

Yet now, just this indestructible sword intent alone had managed to make him feel a stinging pain.

There was no life force, no human presence—so it must be a treasure.

The Taiji Diagram materialized, and Jiang Changkong’s body glowed with golden light. The stinging sensation vanished as he hurried toward the source of the sword cry.

At the site of the exploded boulder, a palm-sized sword tip came into view.

“A sword tip?” Jiang Changkong was stunned. How could a mere sword tip possess such power?

Could it be a high-tier weapon?

Reaching out to grab the sword tip, the stinging sensation returned. Instead of being alarmed, Jiang Changkong was delighted.

Such a treasure would surely fetch a high price.

The closer he got to the sword tip, the more intense the stinging became. He pushed the Taiji Diagram and his Indestructible Vajra Body to their limits.

Hum

The sword tip trembled slightly, releasing an extreme cold energy. Jiang Changkong’s expression changed. “Taiyin?”

It carried the same aura as the Moon Stone, but even colder and more terrifying.

With the Vajra stepping on fire, the Blazing Sun Art manifested, forcefully suppressing the sword tip. Seizing the opportunity, Jiang Changkong grabbed it in his hand.

Golden Blood dripped as the sword tip radiated a chilling cold energy, silver-white light dispersing to resist the Blazing Sun power.

In an instant, Jiang Changkong’s Blazing Sun power transformed into a Taiji Diagram, enveloping the sword tip.

Suspended within the black-and-white Taiji Diagram, the sword tip retracted its cold energy without the Blazing Sun power to oppose it.

“Moon Stone, Yang Stone, Lunar Cold Energy.”

Jiang Changkong sheathed the sword tip into his bosom, the wound on his palm healing rapidly. Within just a few breaths, it had already scabbed over.

After storing the sword tip, the stone powder suspended in the air began to drift downward. The lingering sword energy ran rampant, stirring the powder everywhere and obscuring visibility.

“Second Brother, Uncle Li, let me tell you—I only used 1,125 Fifth Rank Mid-Grade Star Stones to buy the spot.”

A somewhat smug voice came through: “We deliberately kept the news under wraps. That country bumpkin Jiang Changkong has no idea that in Anding Province, the price has already reached 1,000 Fifth Rank High-Grade Star Stones.”

“Someone who’s never seen the world—what kind of price could he possibly offer? It’s just Fatty Nan who got the bargain.”

Jiang Changkong: “…”

A thousand Fifth Rank High-Grade? Did I lose out again?

“Such powerful sword energy?” a startled voice exclaimed.
