Chapter 170: Sin Domain
Chapter 170: Sin Domain
When the three of them arrived at the villa, a chilling cold filled the air, sending shivers down their spines.
An ice sculpture stood in the room, its eyes wide open, filled with terror.
“He really killed him,” Anding Bang murmured. “And he did it by charging into the city.”
Thankfully, he hadn’t continued to push his luck and challenge Jiang Changkong.
This was utterly brutal—charging into the city to kill, completely disregarding surveillance and federal laws.
“Such mastery of Lunar Cold Energy.”
Heng Yongxing’s expression was complicated as he pressed a hand against the ice sculpture, attempting to dissolve the cold energy, only to withdraw immediately upon contact.
The moment he touched the ice, the cold energy began to spread. With his current strength, he couldn’t withstand it.
“Completely unscathed, truly unscathed.”
Li Changtian circled the ice sculpture, clicking his tongue in amazement. “This is truly a martial art that kills without shedding blood or leaving wounds.”
“Eerie,” Anding Bang said gravely. “And there are hardly any signs of a struggle at the scene.”
“He couldn’t even withstand a single move,” Heng Yongxing said solemnly. “Jiang Changkong wasn’t lying. Jiang Changyue’s strength surpasses his.”
“What should we do now?” Li Changtian asked.
“I’ll take this body back to the Heng family and have them study his Taiyin Star Power,” Heng Yongxing said thoughtfully. “You investigate where the Sin Domain poison from Yuntian Mountain came from and whether that person from the Yun family has secretly returned.”
“Understood. Leave it to me. If Sin Domain materials dare to leak out, they must be eager to die.”
Li Changtian nodded and left.
“What about me?” Anding Bang asked.
Heng Yongxing instructed, “Go to the Abyss and find a way to locate Jiang Changyue and Jiang Changkong.”
Following the order, Anding Bang set off for the Abyss overnight.
Meanwhile, Jiang Changkong had already killed dozens of Star Demons.
His “Essence, Qi, and Spirit” were increasing slowly, and he was losing the motivation to continue killing.
His relationship with Anding Bang wasn’t close enough yet; otherwise, he would definitely ask how many Star Stones this guy still had.
Offering them to Li Changtian?
Clearly, he hadn’t offered them all!
If he had, where would he still get Star Stones?
Squeezing out a little every time—what kind of offering was that?
Moreover, based on what Anding Bang had said earlier about newly collected Star Stones, it was clear this guy had a steady income.
A mature, large-scale Martial Arts Association, even if each member contributed just one Star Stone, would amount to a hundred.
The Martial Arts Association in Pingan City had been around for years. Even after considerable spending, there should still be some accumulated wealth.
Calculating it this way, Anding Bang was likely the wealthiest among the three.
As for Heng Yongxing, he was now broke, even asking Li Changtian to borrow Star Stones.
As for Li Changtian, he wasn’t particularly wealthy either, but his status was high, so his family probably provided living expenses and activity funds, right?
If it weren’t for the fact that people from those Major Provinces were constantly trying to recruit him for some dangerous tasks, he would genuinely like to befriend such wealthy individuals.
According to Yao Meng, many of those geniuses from the Major Provinces might perish in the future.
If there were benefits, he would participate in such dangerous matters, but not to risk his life for others—otherwise, he wouldn’t even know how he died.
He disliked entrusting his life to others.
His phone rang. Jiang Changkong glanced at it—it was Anding Bang calling. He didn’t answer.
He continued killing Star Demons. The phone kept ringing, with calls from Anding Bang and Tang Ruoxi.
It wasn’t until dawn that Jiang Changkong finally answered Tang Ruoxi’s call, his voice sounding weak. “Sister Ruoxi.”
“Changkong, I heard you were poisoned? Where are you now? Why haven’t you come to the research institute?”
As soon as the call connected, Tang Ruoxi’s voice came through. With Professor Yun at the institute, most poisons could be resolved.
“I’m fine now,” Jiang Changkong said gently. “The poison has been expelled, and I’ve recovered.”
“That’s good. What about Jiang Changyue? Is he with you?” Tang Ruoxi asked, a hint of tension in her voice.
“I haven’t seen him since I woke up from healing. What’s wrong? Does Heng Yongxing want to see him again?” Jiang Changkong replied calmly.
“Yuntian Mountain is dead, turned into an ice sculpture without a single wound. According to surveillance footage, Jiang Changyue killed him.”
Tang Ruoxi said gravely, “The law enforcement bureau has already come to the Abyss, hoping to speak with you.”
“I’ll be right back.”
After hanging up, Jiang Changkong removed his black robe and headed for the stone house at the institute.
Killing someone directly in the city was too extreme, even if Yuntian Mountain had poisoned him first.
But without evidence, the law enforcement bureau naturally had to investigate.
Jiang Changkong had anticipated this and didn’t mind. Unless he exposed himself, no one would be able to find out.
When he arrived at the stone house, besides the institute team, there were quite a few others, including Li Changtian and his two companions.
“Changkong.”
Seeing him return, everyone hurried over. “Are you really alright?”
“I’m fine, the poison has been neutralized,” Jiang Changkong smiled. “Look at me, do I seem unwell?”
“President Jiang, hello. I’m An Shou from the Pingan City Law Enforcement Bureau.”
A middle-aged man approached, his expression serious. “There are some matters I’d like to ask you about, if that’s convenient?”
Behind An Shou were several Martial Artists, the weakest among them at the Star Gate level.
As for An Shou himself, Jiang Changkong couldn’t see through him.
“Cooperating with the law enforcement bureau’s investigation is my responsibility.”
Jiang Changkong said calmly, “Feel free to ask whatever you need.”
An Shou nodded slightly. “Please tell me where you and Jiang Changyue were last night and his final whereabouts.”
“Yesterday, I was accidentally poisoned and needed to find a place to expel the toxin. Unexpectedly, he was nearby.”
Jiang Changkong recounted after a moment of thought, “Alone, I couldn’t expel the severe poison. It was only with his help that the crisis was resolved.”
In his account, after expelling the poison, he fell unconscious and had no idea what happened afterward.
As for asking Tang Ruoxi about Yuntian Mountain’s residence, he claimed ignorance, saying he was unconscious at the time.
When he woke up, it was because of the phone ringing, and Jiang Changyue was nowhere to be found.
“Poison from the Sin Domain—death is deserved,” Li Changtian interjected.
An Shou’s expression remained grave. “This matter is of great importance. I will personally investigate thoroughly. Since we’ve clarified the situation, we won’t stay any longer.”
With that, An Shou left with his team without hesitation.
“They’re leaving just like that?”
Jiang Changkong was slightly taken aback. He had prepared a whole speech, but now it seemed unnecessary.
“Of course they’re leaving. Compared to Yuntian Mountain’s death, poison from the Sin Domain is far more serious.”
Heng Yongxing sneered, “I’ve already asked someone to investigate. That member of the Yun family didn’t flee back here; they’re still in the Sin Domain.”
“Someone must have helped deliver it. But who would be so bold?” Li Changtian pondered but couldn’t figure it out.
Jiang Changkong asked curiously, “What is the Sin Domain?”
Anding Bang was also curious. “That member of the Yun family disappeared over a decade ago. Did they go to that so-called Sin Domain?”
“The Sin Domain, also known as the Land of Exile, is where the Federation banishes its most heinous criminals.
Unless under special circumstances, they are forbidden from returning to the Federation for life, left to fend for themselves,” Heng Yongxing said calmly.
“That punishment seems too lenient.”
Jiang Changkong curled his lip. “It’s just relocating to another place to live, and one without any constraints at that.”
Anding Bang nodded repeatedly beside him. “Exactly, it would be better to just execute them.”
“Executing them would be such a waste.” Heng Yongxing smiled faintly and shook his head gently. “If you ever commit a major crime and get exiled to the Sin Domain, you’ll understand how miserable it truly is.”
Li Changtian said coolly, “A group of utterly wicked individuals living together—if President An were to go there, he probably wouldn’t survive a day.”
“You underestimate me, Young Master Li. Though I may not compare to that person from the Yun family, if he could survive, why couldn’t I?”
Anding Bang retorted indignantly, “Back then, he was only at the early stage of Star Spirit.”
“Changkong, here is the information on the Yun family.” Heng Yongxing handed him the phone, speaking calmly.
