Chapter 237: Right Here in Sin Domain
Chapter 237: Right Here in Sin Domain
A Martial Artist with power reaching the heavens, spanning Taiyin and Taiyang, witnessed these scrolls.
But what he saw was false—the Phoenix was false, the Golden Crow was false, and the Jade Toad was also false.
As for the one chopping the Moon Osmanthus, that too was false. All these things were merely statues.
Later, as the Martial Artist prepared to leave, two stars eerily sank—not into any other place, but into the boundless starry sky.
Endless darkness enveloped the sun and moon, as the starry sky devoured the stars.
Within the two stars, countless Star Arrays erupted, spreading across the sun and moon.
Boundless starlight poured forth, yet it could not halt the sinking of the sun and moon.
Within the sun and moon, three palaces appeared: one of Taiyin, one of Taiyang, and one of pure Blood Qi.
The Blood Qi Palace emerged between the sun and moon, balancing their forces and resisting the devouring power from the starry sky.
Yet, even the three palaces, along with the vast starlight, ultimately failed.
In the struggle, the three palaces were damaged, and the statue chopping the Moon Osmanthus crumbled.
The Martial Artist with power reaching the heavens was also enveloped by this force, unable to escape. He could only join the three palaces in resisting this devouring power.
Alas, even with him and the three palaces combined, they could not withstand this force. In the final moments, he found a stone tablet and carved this information upon it.
He sealed all these memories within a bead.
This bead was formed from three rays of light that escaped when the sun and moon sank and the three palaces were destroyed.
Afterward, the Martial Artist sealed the bead within the stone tablet, and the scene ended there.
Jiang Changkong was somewhat bewildered. If that were the case, everything was devoured—how could this stone tablet appear here?
The sun and moon still hang in the sky. Could it be that they are new suns and moons?
“Wait, how did this stone tablet come to be?”
Jiang Changkong frowned, holding the bead and the shattered stone tablet as he went to find the seven people.
Buzz
The bead suddenly trembled lightly, releasing a scorching yet icy aura, along with a surge of Blood Qi power.
“Why is this bead trembling? Could there be something nearby?”
Since this bead was formed from the light of the three palaces, did that mean something related to the three palaces was nearby?
The legacy of the Celestial Gods, a Martial Artist with power reaching the heavens—could that Martial Artist be a Celestial God?
To span Taiyin and Taiyang, such power might be achievable by a High-Rank Martial Artist, but in the memory, it seemed the Martial Artist crossed to another star in a single step.
This was definitely not something a High-Rank Martial Artist could accomplish!
Even if he wasn’t a Celestial God, he must have been among the most elite Martial Artists.
Was it his legacy, or did the three palaces conceal the legacy of the Celestial Gods?
Putting the bead away, Jiang Changkong arrived before them and asked, “Excuse me, where did that stone tablet come from?”
“It was washed up by the sea,” Xu Hengzhi said. “There’s a barrier here that isolates the area, but things without Star Power can enter.”
Jiang Changkong pondered. He wasn’t sure whether the thing resonating with the bead was on the isolated island or in the sea.
If it was in the sea, he might have to leave the Sin Domain to investigate.
“Step back a bit. I need to check what’s below,” Jiang Changkong said.
“Alright,” the seven replied, taking their instruments and moving farther away.
Once they had left, Jiang Changkong’s right palm manifested a blazing sun, which he forcefully channeled into the ground.
Rumble
The beach shook, and the earth cracked open, revealing a fissure hundreds of meters deep.
Jiang Changkong leaped into the fissure, took out the bead, and gold, silver, and blood light radiated forth.
Buzz
The pearl trembled violently, growing more intense as it went deeper.
Jiang Changkong once again poured Star Power, blasting it into the ground.
Continuing deeper, the pearl suddenly stopped trembling, its three lights retracted, dimmed, and transformed into a Three-Colored Stone Pearl.
“Why is there no reaction now?”
Jiang Changkong wondered inwardly. Could it be that he had gone too deep and passed it?
He soared into the air, but the stone pearl still showed no reaction.
Returning to the beach, the pearl remained unresponsive.
“It seems eighty percent likely it’s in the sea. The surging seawater must have washed away whatever resonates with the stone pearl.”
Jiang Changkong sighed softly, having no choice but to temporarily abandon the investigation.
Returning to the seven people, Jiang Changkong rested nearby.
Early the next morning, Jiang Changkong tossed each of the seven a piece of Spatial Equipment before leaving again to search for Sin Domain criminals.
He had plenty of Spatial Equipment, all looted from those he had killed, more than he could ever use.
However, to his disappointment, the people of the Sin Domain seemed to have vanished without a trace, hiding who knows where.
Passing by Sin City, he saw a group of Martial Artists inside, all talented individuals who had come to reap rewards.
“Miser!”
From above Sin City, Heng Xueyue called out loudly.
Jiang Changkong descended from the sky. “What do you want?”
“Have you found any Sin Domain criminals?” Heng Xueyue asked.
“No. Aside from wiping out a tyrant at the beginning, I haven’t found any since,” Jiang Changkong shook his head.
As for Heng Moxuan, he was also from the Heng family, so there was no need to mention him.
“These people are really like rats. We caught a few yesterday, but could they all have hidden underground?”
Heng Xueyue frowned.
“Possibly. I went to check, and the Star Array was only half set up before they left.”
Jiang Changkong pondered. “Now, the only place to hide is underground. What’s strange is that everyone has a device implanted in their bodies. They shouldn’t be able to dispose of all of them.”
With the devices, the Federation could monitor them. In such a short time, it would be impossible to get rid of all the surveillance.
If they all hid in underground spaces, the underground Spatial Passages would be exposed.
“So, what do we do now?” Heng Xueyue asked.
Jiang Changkong rolled his eyes. “What else can we do? Dig holes. Since you all have nothing better to do, just flip the entire island over.”
Heng Xueyue’s brows furrowed slightly, and she lowered her voice. “My sister told me to warn you to be careful. You wiped out a tyrant, while the others haven’t gained much.”
“Are they planning to target me? I haven’t gone after them yet, and that’s only out of respect for the forces behind them.
If they don’t want that respect, they’re welcome to try.” Jiang Changkong snorted coldly, a hint of frost appearing on his face.
Heng Xueyue whispered, “Why don’t you stay? We can team up and rob the others.”
Jiang Changkong’s expression shifted slightly. “I have matters to attend to. Farewell.”
Without waiting for Heng Xueyue’s response, he soared into the air and left.
“This miser doesn’t even have that much courage?” Heng Xueyue pouted.
Jiang Changkong didn’t go far before descending. In his hand appeared the Three-Colored Stone Pearl, its three lights gradually dimming.
“Even the Hidden Star Ring can’t block the resonance. But why did it suddenly appear and then disappear?”
Jiang Changkong muttered in confusion. It was because the stone pearl had resonated earlier that he left.
After all, it was about the three palaces in the starry sky, mentioned by Martial Artists with heaven-defying strength as the legacy of the Celestial Gods.
If he could obtain it, it would undoubtedly be an immense fortune.
As for teaming up with Heng Xueyue and the others to rob the group, he’d rather not.
Whether they joined forces or not, as long as he took it, he would be the one to shoulder the blame. Would the other factions trouble the Heng family over this matter?
Impossible. Only the weakest one would be made to bear the responsibility.
Therefore, he didn’t even consider Heng Xueyue’s proposal. If he was going to take it, he would do it alone.
“Earlier, the Three-Colored Stone Pearl reacted by the seaside. Why is it showing signs here now? Could it be that it has always been on this isolated island?”
Jiang Changkong pondered for a moment before soaring into the air, this time holding the Three-Colored Stone Pearl in his hand.
Before long, the Three-Colored Stone Pearl once again began to glow and vibrate.
“Indeed, that thing is on the isolated island in the Sin Domain—it just moves around!”
A look of delight crossed Jiang Changkong’s face as he channeled his Blazing Sun Star Power downward, directly into the depths of the earth.
