Chapter 276: Tyrant Blade

Chapter 276: Tyrant Blade

The Tyrant Blade descended, leaving no chance for survival.

Countless Star Demons turned to dust, leaving only Star Stones rolling out.

Jiang Changkong’s control over Star Power was now increasingly perfect; under the Divine Control Art, he could detect the location of Star Stones.

Everything turned to ashes except for the Star Stones and that Star Embryo Star Demon.

The corpse of the Star Embryo Star Demon was still useful; to test the Tyrant Blade, a Star Body Star Demon was needed.

Jiang Changkong soared through the air, collecting both the corpse and the Star Stones of the Star Embryo Star Demon into the Hidden Star Ring.

The bright moon shot through the sky, flying toward the mountain ahead.

Boom!

Starlight flashed as several Star Embryo Star Demons charged out. The blade swept past, turning them all into victims beneath the blade.

“The smell of blood?”

A strong scent of blood wafted over, causing Jiang Changkong to frown. It came from the mountain.

Could it be that the Stellar Body Martial Artist from earlier had led a team here, only for all his teammates to perish?

He charged directly into the mountain, where a thick bloody aura drifted from a cave, accompanied by voices inside.

“The Jiang family’s courage is shrinking. Just because someone barged in, they fled in fear.”

“He’s just being cautious. If humans see him with us, it would be troublesome.”

“True, but the quality of the blood offerings and test subjects sent this time is poor.”

“The Jiang family only has this much capability. It’s a shame we can’t capture more human Stellar Body Martial Artists; otherwise, we could speed up the experiments.”

“Uncharted Land No. 53 has been handed over by the Federation. I heard it’s a Stellar Body. We can just capture them when the time comes.”

—Hum

An extreme chill swept through, and the cave quickly began to freeze. The piercing cold made the two Star Demons shiver simultaneously.

“Such intense cold—has the Heng family attacked?”

The two Star Demons stood up, their expressions grave.

The bright moon flew in, revealing a vast space filled with rows of instruments and human corpses.

Dissected bodies were connected to various tubes, while nearby instruments displayed all sorts of data.

Jiang Changkong couldn’t understand the data. His gaze swept around, noticing something like nutrient tanks, where Star Power had condensed into liquid, with some corpses soaking inside.

The two Star Demons’ Star Power fluctuated intensely as they stared at him warily.

One Star Demon said solemnly, “A member of the Heng family?”

“You truly deserve death!”

Jiang Changkong spoke coldly, his killing intent surging. The bright moon dissipated, revealing his figure in black robes, with the Lunar Yin Blade hovering beside him. “What is the Jiang family’s relationship with you?”

“To think it’s a man. There aren’t many men in the Heng family who can cultivate to the Stellar Body stage,” the other Star Demon sneered.

“This is a test subject delivered right to our doorstep. Capture him!”

The other Star Demon shouted, Star Power surging as his claws gleamed with a cold light: “Heart-Devouring Claw!”

“A Stellar Body—just what we needed for a test subject,” the other Star Demon sneered, stomping his foot. An intricate Star Array appeared in the cave.

However, the Star Array couldn’t break through Jiang Changkong’s ice seal.

“Tyrant Blade Moon Shadow!”

Jiang Changkong’s expression was cold as the Lunar Yin Blade slashed forward, splitting into two blade rays.

Swift as a fleeting shadow, elusive as a phantom, and domineering as the Tyrant Blade.

The two Star Demons sneered, facing the blade rays head-on.

Hum

The blade rays pierced directly into their bodies. Both Star Demons shuddered simultaneously, and the Late Star Body Stage Star Demon exploded into pieces.

Powder scattered everywhere, starlight faded, and the Late Star Body Stage Star Demon was slain with a single strike.

The other Star Body Peak Star Demon lost his legs, leaving only his upper half floating in the air.

His mutilated torso, with blade rays flickering at the wounds, could not regenerate his limbs no matter how much Star Power he channeled.

Jiang Changkong’s eyes opened and closed, moonlight blooming within them like two full moons: “You’re researching humans?”

“You are definitely not from the Heng family. Who exactly are you?” The Star Body Peak Star Demon, its ugly face maintaining a semblance of composure, yet deep within its eyes lay hidden fear.

Boom

A tremor came from outside, a violent surge of Star Power sweeping through, accompanied by a red glowing sphere radiating scorching heat.

“Which brother has come to my Jiang family’s territory, entering without cause? Has my Jiang family offended you in some way?”

The red sphere, emanating a searing aura, questioned Jiang Changkong.

“The Jiang family?” Jiang Changkong glanced at the red sphere and said indifferently, “Do you know about the matters here?”

“I know some, but this demon is powerful. This old man was helpless against it.”

The red sphere dissipated, revealing an elderly man. He scanned the interior situation and said angrily, “This Star Demon is ruthless and cruel, actually researching humans. Brother, please hand this Star Demon over to this old man. I will make sure it suffers a fate worse than death.”

“Hand it over to you?” Jiang Changkong said calmly, “On what grounds?”

The old man’s anger faded, replaced by a faint smile. “Brother, you’re being unreasonable. Each person manages their own fief. This is the Jiang family’s fief, and it should be handled by the Jiang family. Brother, do not bring trouble upon yourself. My Jiang family is not without Star Constellation Experts.”

Jiang Changkong said flatly, “Then how do you plan to handle it?”

The old man’s expression relaxed slightly. It seemed this fellow was backing down.

Thinking this, the old man’s smile also faded a bit. “How to handle it is the Jiang family’s affair. However, little brother, you have taken so many resources from my Jiang family. Please return them.”

Jiang Changkong paused slightly. “What resources?”

“Little brother, you’ve killed so many Star Demons, taken Star Stones, and also discovered a Star Crystal Vein here, directly taking half of it,” the old man said coolly.

The Star Demon with its half-destroyed body also said coldly, “Not only that, he also stole my collection—one hundred thousand top-tier eighth rank Star Crystals.”

“I have never seen someone as eager to seek death as you.”

Jiang Changkong’s gaze turned cold. A flash of blade light followed, accompanied by Moonlight Essence.

“You…”

The old man’s Star Power had just begun to surge within him, but it quickly dissipated. With a loud crash, he turned into a pile of powder, scattered on the ground.

The Star Demon said in fear, “You actually dared to kill him?”

Like the old man, it had thought Jiang Changkong had yielded. It was about to use the Jiang family’s name to extort further, but instead, Jiang Changkong turned around and killed the old man.

“Will you still not speak now? Colluding with the Jiang family?” Jiang Changkong said coldly. “Then, go keep him company below.”

“W-wait, I’ll speak. It was the Jiang family. The Jiang family made me do it.”

The Star Demon hurriedly cried out, “It was that Star Martial Artist from the Jiang family. He said he had a way to turn us into humans, as long as we could research it successfully.

And what we had to do was eliminate everyone who came here and hand over the resources to him.”

Jiang Changkong scoffed. “Turn into humans? You believe such nonsense? Aren’t you supposed to be the superior Star Clan?”

The Star Demon said urgently, “We were all forced. If we didn’t research, we would be killed by the Star Martial Artist. We had no choice but to research.”

“What realm is that Jiang family Star Martial Artist at?” Jiang Changkong asked calmly.

“Early Star Constellation Stage. If he finds out you’ve ruined his plans, he will definitely kill you.”

“No need for you to worry about that.” Jiang Changkong activated the Divine Control Art, directly extracting the Star Demon’s soul.

The Tyrant Blade had already been tested. This half-destroyed body could be left to serve its remaining purpose.

Jiang Changkong frowned as he searched for their spatial equipment.

The Star Demon had lied. In the spatial equipment of the two Star Demons, there were three thousand five hundred Star Crystals each, while the old man had only one thousand.

Was this an offering to the Jiang family?

To hell with that!

After taking the Star Stones, he went to retrieve the spatial equipment of the Star Embryo Martial Artists. Inside, there were some Star Crystals, though only of the seventh rank.

Aside from the Star Stones, there were objects engraved with Star Script, mobile phones, and the like.

This situation was definitely not about working for the Jiang family. Otherwise, the Star Demons wouldn’t have kept so many Star Crystals in their possession.
