Chapter 436 – Afterword – Final Thoughts on Completing the Book

Afterword

It’s complete.

This has been the most emotionally complex completion to date, and also the most relieved I’ve ever felt upon finishing a book.

There’s no helping it—this book went through more turmoil than any previous work.

When I started writing, my due date was already approaching. At that time, I could roughly predict that this book’s update schedule wouldn’t be great, and its performance wouldn’t be ideal either.

Who would have thought that the update situation for this book wouldn’t just be bad, but extremely poor?

I’ve never experienced such terrible updates during any previous writing project, to the point where I considered giving up several times in the middle.

But whenever I remembered how my last book was affected and ended up abandoned halfway, I gritted my teeth and persisted in writing.

Even though the results weren’t ideal, even though I was incredibly busy, and even though the updates were extremely poor, I still wanted to keep writing.

The reason is simple: I didn’t want to abruptly discontinue or rush the ending at the first sign of trouble, as that would only create a vicious cycle.

My last book wasn’t published yet, so I could cut my losses in time.

But for this one, since I had already started writing and it was published, I didn’t want to abandon it or leave it unfinished, wasting the money of those friends who were still paying to read.

So, I kept writing until it reached a proper conclusion.

Now, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Of course, I learned a lot from this book and gained many insights.

I only hope that with my next book, I can learn from these lessons, adjust my state properly, manage the time conflicts between writing and household chores better, maintain a good update schedule, and write diligently, avoiding the situation that occurred with this book.

For my next book, if possible, I will definitely stockpile drafts in advance to handle any emergencies that might prevent updates.

Here, I also hope that my friends will continue to support me as always. We’ll meet again in the next book.

At this point, I’m sure many friends are starting to wonder about some frequently asked questions, right?

For example, when will the new book start?

What genre will the next book be?

And, will I still write crossover fanfictions?

Let me answer these three questions properly.

1: The timing for the new book hasn’t been decided yet, but I will prepare thoroughly. Once the new book starts, I will notify everyone, either in the group or in the book.

2: I haven’t decided on the genre for the next book either. I’ll think it over carefully and choose the right theme to avoid the issues that arose with this book and the previous one.

3: As I’ve said before, I’m not actually opposed to writing crossover fanfictions, but there aren’t many series left to write about. If you don’t mind me rehashing old material, I’ll consider it seriously later.

In summary, I hope my friends can give me some time to rest first and then think carefully about how to write the next book.
