Chapter 212: Battle of the Tenth Rank

Chapter 212: Battle of the Tenth Rank

Watching Zhang Qianming and his group enter District 26 from the shadows, Jiang Yan stood motionless in the darkness.

With a wave of his hand, a pitch-black energy form emerged from within him.

“Although this Doppelganger is made of energy, it was nurtured by the Chaotic Void Ancestral Spirit, so there’s no need to worry about its Aura being exposed.”

Now, with battles involving high-level Combat Power at play, Jiang Yan knew he could no longer act as freely as before.

“Hey, do you think everyone on Diyuan Star might be dead by now since no one’s going there to fight the Sky Demon?”

“Stop talking nonsense. Let’s focus on completing our own mission first. Those major affairs are beyond our reach.”

“If only I had the power of a Martial God, I’d soar into the heavens and fight that Sky Demon until the sky turns dark!”

“That’s exactly why you can’t become a Martial God. Several of our Tianyuan Martial Gods have survived from that era, and they naturally refuse to let ten thousand years of arduous cultivation turn to dust overnight.”

The group chatted idly as they walked.

“Hurry, ahead is our rendezvous point with the Righteous Alliance. This time, Alliance Leader Senior Xiao will join us in eliminating the enemy.”

Soon, the two groups converged.

One group came from Zhang Qianyue’s side, while the other was from the Righteous Alliance.

The highest Combat Power on Zhang Qianyue’s side was a scruffy-bearded uncle, a Ninth Rank Divine Intent Martial Artist, who could be considered a formidable force in the Galactic Domain.

On the side of the Righteous Alliance leader, the person at the forefront had white hair, wore a blue robe, and was adorned with a jade belt and a scholarly headscarf, exuding an ancient, elegant, and serene aura.

This was one of the Human Race’s Peak Combat Powers, the Tenth Rank Martial God—Xiao Chunwei.

His attire hailed from ancient Tianyuan, giving anyone who saw him a sense of disorientation, as if pulled back to the era when ancient martial arts flourished.

“Junior Zhao He pays respects to Senior Xiao!”

The Ninth Rank Divine Intent Martial Artist clasped his fists and bowed respectfully to this Peak figure of the Human Race.

The others followed suit, many of them excited beyond measure. Meeting a Martial God in ordinary times was as difficult as climbing to the heavens.

“Enough. As the leader of the Righteous Alliance, coming to eliminate threats is merely part of my duty.”

“Alliance Leader’s righteousness is admirable. We are in awe.”

Xiao Chunwei led the way ahead, and for the first time, everyone felt an almost unsettling sense of security while carrying out a mission.

Just then, tremors came from the direction of Heart Origin City.

A powerful, rough voice echoed throughout Tianyuan.

“Hahahaha! Since you cowards dare not show yourselves, let me, Hong Luo, face that Sky Demon!”

The voice was deafening, exploding directly in people’s minds.

Everyone turned to look in the direction of the voice.

From the direction of Heart Origin City, a man clad only in a red cloth covering his vital parts stepped into mid-air.

With a mighty roar, he stomped on the Void beneath his feet, charging step by step toward the apex. The space under his feet cracked uncontrollably inch by inch, and his speed grew faster and faster. A spatial rift tore open ahead as he crashed through it, and with a whoosh, Hong Luo plunged into the rift.

The next moment, he appeared in the satellite feed of Diyuan Star.

“Wonderful! It’s Martial God Hong Luo! We are saved!”

“Tianyuan Star has not abandoned us! Martial God Hong Luo has not abandoned us!”

“After this battle, we, the people of Diyuan Star, are willing to follow Master Hong Luo forever!”

At this moment, Diyuan Star was already devastated, with casualties numbering in the hundreds of millions, cities in ruins, and the sky stained with blood—a scene akin to the apocalypse.

In such a short time, the Sky Demon had already achieved this level.

Hong Luo snorted coldly, took a step, and as the void trembled, he appeared above the Sky Demon in the city.

“Evil creature, die!”

Hong Luo threw a punch, his Dharma Form coalescing around him, protected by a Great Golden Body. His fist suppressed and annihilated everything. This terrifyingly powerful punch collided with the Sky Demon’s body.

The shockwave spread out, turning everything within a thousand miles into nothingness.

Yet, the Sky Demon wore a smile at the corner of his mouth, his grayish-white chest embedded with a massive fist.

“Junior, not bad strength.”

“When I fought your ancestor, you were probably still playing with mud somewhere, hahahahahaha!”

“Hahahahaha!”

The Sky Demon covered his face and laughed wildly, as if he had lost his mind.

His grayish-white skin was covered densely with ancient runes. His appearance resembled a human’s but was distorted and grotesque, with a black horn on his head that occasionally flickered with an incomprehensible black light.

This Sky Demon was vastly different from the underdeveloped one in Jiang Yan’s Battle Space.

Hong Luo sneered. “My ancestor could slay you in the past, and today, I, Hong Luo, can do the same!”

“Evil creature, take this punch from your grandpa!”

Hong Luo threw another punch, landing solidly on the Sky Demon once again.

The flesh around the Sky Demon’s heart caved in, then swelled back up, pushing Hong Luo’s fist away.

“Junior, put some effort into it.”

The Sky Demon taunted, mocking Hong Luo with every punch he threw, as if he had ulterior motives.

“Fight if you’re going to fight, stop with the nonsense!”

A divine light flashed in Hong Luo’s eyes. Complex patterns emerged across his muscles, and all his cells shone with the brilliance of life like a starry river, each photon containing supreme power.

In the void, Laws coalesced, and an aura of supreme power locked onto the Sky Demon before him.

The Sky Demon took a step back, clapped his hands, and jeered, “Seems you’re angry now. Guess I’ll have to show some real skill.”

Boom!

The Sky Demon’s aura exploded. The ancient runes on his body detached, and another Law manifested in the space, rivaling the aura emanating from Hong Luo.

“There’s one thing I don’t understand. As a Tenth Rank Sky Demon, the flesh and blood of ordinary Martial Artists can no longer aid your recovery. Why harm these people?”

Hong Luo pointed to the ruins of the city on Diyuan Star, where blood flowed, limbs were scattered, and flesh was reduced to pulp.

“Hehe, beat me, and I’ll tell you.”

The two clashed once more.

Their fighting styles were strikingly similar—Laws enveloping their physical bodies, every move and strike a pure collision of flesh.

The ruins below were shattered, and the two shifted their battle to the starry sky.

Hong Luo roared, grabbing a passing meteorite with his bare hands.

He hurled it, but the Sky Demon kicked it into dust, then began teleporting continuously. Countless black holes, large and small, flickered ahead.

Hong Luo threw another punch. At that moment, the Laws blazed brightly, folding the void ahead. Countless fragments exploded, and in an instant, the starry river reversed, the universe’s silent light extinguished beneath the chaotic punches.

A crimson Law manifested once more, and a true body spanning millions of meters descended upon this world.

The true body extended infinitely, its form gradually overshadowing Diyuan Star, gazing down at the Sky Demon below like a deity.

“Evil creature, if you still don’t show your true power, I’ll crush you underfoot.”

Below, the Sky Demon curled his lips into a smile.

“Try me?”

“Hmph, die!”

Hong Luo’s true body casually grabbed an uninhabited planet and hurled it toward the Sky Demon.

The Sky Demon’s form transformed into a streak of white light, swiftly piercing through the onrushing planet, shattering it!

Boom!

The planet exploded, turning to dust, countless meteorites scattering, the Starry Sky erupting into a brilliant display of fireworks.
