Chapter 28 – A Bit of Practice

Chapter 28 – A Bit of Practice

For the first time, Su Hao understood the power of an Elite Martial Artist. Getting grazed by one would basically mean death.

Now Su Hao understood why almost all the warriors he saw wore full armor. So Elite Martial Artists were a group of warriors with high attack power but low defense.

Su Hao retracted his short blade and noticed it was not stained with any stone dust. He began to ponder: “After the short blade was infused with elite Blood Qi, it gained immense attack power. This attack power no longer comes from the blade itself, but from the elite Blood Qi. Elite Blood Qi is a form of energy, and once it leaves the manipulation of consciousness, it reveals its violent nature. The sharpness of the blade helps the elite Blood Qi to be unleashed. So, what if I used my bare hands?”

Su Hao sheathed his blade, infused his fist with elite Blood Qi, and punched the ground.

“Bang!”

A basin-sized crater instantly appeared on the ground, and he hadn’t actually exerted any force with his arm.

Su Hao’s fist went numb from the impact. He raised his hand and saw it was red: “The moment my fist hit the ground, the elite Blood Qi surged out, unleashing a powerful impact that shattered the ground. The recoil force was absorbed by the remaining elite Blood Qi in my fist, so my fist was not injured, but it still hurt from the shock.”

After all, it’s a flesh and blood body, too fragile compared to steel.

Su Hao experimented for a while longer, then decided to get up and go out to try other aspects of improvement. As soon as he stood up, he felt his entire body’s muscles were sore, weak, and exhausted.

After a brief check, he found his muscles felt empty. Only then did he realize that all his ordinary Blood Qi had been converted into elite Blood Qi.

Su Hao couldn’t help but sigh: “Are the two types of Blood Qi not interchangeable?”

Through careful study, Su Hao discovered the relationship between ordinary Blood Qi and elite Blood Qi.

After successfully advancing to Elite Martial Artist, the fighting style changed. Most offensive techniques relied on elite Blood Qi, while the role of ordinary Blood Qi became almost negligible.

Normal Blood Qi has only two functions: one is to maintain normal movement, and the other is to be converted into Elite Blood Qi.

Next, he understood what he needed to do: replenish Normal Blood Qi as quickly as possible, then convert it into Elite Blood Qi energy, and repeat this cycle until he reached his body’s limit.

After one month, Su Hao successfully replenished all his states. The Elite Blood Qi within him reached an astonishing level, with all nine special positions in his body now completely filled with Elite Blood Qi.

Su Hao found Wu Cloud Sky and informed him that he had successfully converted all his Normal Blood Qi into Elite Blood Qi.

After years of training, Wu Cloud Sky’s heart had developed a significantly stronger capacity. He wasn’t overly surprised, after all, it was his son. What was the big deal if he accomplished in one year what others took two or three years to do? It was normal.

Wu Cloud Sky calmly nodded and said, “Then, you should first adapt for a period and fully master the characteristics of Elite Blood Qi.

Don’t rush. The conversion of Normal Blood Qi to Elite Blood Qi is inefficient and requires tedious, time-consuming effort. Once you fill all nine palaces with Elite Blood Qi, you will have reached the peak and can be considered a high-level Elite Martial Artist.”

Su Hao exclaimed in shock, “But Father, I’ve already filled all nine palaces!”

Wu Cloud Sky seemed not to have heard him clearly and asked again, “What?”

Su Hao loudly repeated, “I’ve already filled all nine palaces, and I can’t convert any more Elite Blood Qi. Does this mean I’m already a high-level Elite Martial Artist?”

Wu Cloud Sky was completely stunned.

“You’re saying you’ve filled up all your Blood Qi? You’re not joking?”

“When have I ever joked with you? Father, did I train incorrectly?” Seeing Wu Cloud Sky’s expression, Su Hao felt a bit uneasy.

Wu Cloud Sky took a deep breath, trying to calm his indescribable emotions, constantly telling himself: “It’s normal, it’s to be expected, it’s not a big problem!”

Then he said to Su Hao, “You didn’t train incorrectly!”

After Wu Cloud Sky’s explanation, Su Hao finally understood how extraordinary his Blood Qi Reinforcement Function’s Harmony to Mind-Power conversion method truly was.

For most people, the efficiency of converting Normal Blood Qi is low, requiring accumulation over time through tedious effort. The conversion of Normal Blood Qi to Elite Blood Qi is even less efficient. After painstakingly accumulating a large amount of Normal Blood Qi, only a small amount of Elite Blood Qi is obtained after conversion. Then, a great deal of time is spent converting Normal Blood Qi again.

Therefore, it takes a very long time for ordinary people to accumulate a large amount of Elite Blood Qi.

Su Hao, however, is a special case. He never has to worry about lacking Normal Blood Qi. If his Normal Blood Qi runs low, he just eats a big meal, adjusts the variables of his Blood Qi Reinforcement Function, and it’s replenished in no time. Then, a large amount of Normal Blood Qi is accumulated and undergoes high-speed rotation. His powerful Mind-Power can quickly convert the Normal Blood Qi into Elite Blood Qi. The entire cycle takes less than a day.

Through Wu Cloud Sky’s description, Su Hao realized that his speed was indeed a bit too fast.

“But knowledge is power. Who told me I’m good at math, physics, chemistry, and biology?”

“Father, what level would you say my strength is at now?” After understanding his current cultivation state, Su Hao asked curiously.

Wu Cloud Sky thought for a moment, then got up and started walking out. “Come with me. I’ll spar with you a bit, and you’ll know.”

Su Hao blinked, practicing? With Wu Cloud Sky?

Su Hao quickly reacted and followed. Although he wasn’t confident, an inexplicable excitement surged within him.

It seems I haven’t truly fought against a Harmony person yet!

Su Hao followed Wu Cloud Sky out of the village and found an open space. The two stood facing each other.

Discarding their armor and weapons, they stood casually facing each other. If one didn’t know better, they might think they were just chatting.

The sun hung on the distant treetops, casting long shadows of the two men.

The two began to hold their breath and focus.

Suddenly, Su Hao moved his feet. Blood Qi surged into his legs, and his figure rapidly approached Wu Cloud Sky with an unstoppable momentum.

It was the combat skill “Charge” that Wu Cloud Sky had taught him. However, Su Hao didn’t go all out from the start, holding back most of his strength to adapt to the situation.

His height was less than 1.5 meters, compared to Wu Cloud Sky’s nearly 2-meter height. Using the “Charge” combat skill clearly gave him no advantage; it was merely an opening move to build momentum. He was better at finding an opening after the opponent’s move and delivering a decisive blow.

Wu Cloud Sky was very familiar with Su Hao and seemed to have anticipated Su Hao’s intention, but he didn’t care. He stepped his right foot back and swung his leg to kick.

Su Hao’s speed did not decrease. Just as he was about to collide with Wu Cloud Sky’s kicking foot, he suddenly leaned back, slid on the ground, and dodged the kick. The moment he avoided the kick, he pushed off the ground behind his head with both hands, and his body sprang up like a spring. His feet then shot up, kicking towards Wu Cloud Sky’s chin from bottom to top.

This move was both fast and sudden. Su Hao himself wasn’t sure if he could land such a sudden attack.

However, Wu Cloud Sky’s combat experience was extremely rich. He had long since moved past fighting purely on conscious thought and relied entirely on his body’s reactions.

He simply tilted his head back, causing Su Hao’s attack to miss.

Immediately after, he brought his elbow forward.

Bang!

Su Hao, still in mid-air, was sent flying by Wu Cloud Sky’s elbow strike.

Su Hao adjusted his center of gravity with a slight twist in mid-air and landed on the ground, rubbing his backside. The previous blow had landed squarely on his rear, and the special area had absorbed most of the impact, but it still ached faintly.

Su Hao discovered that by attaching elite Blood Qi to the attacked area, he could negate attacks that also had elite Blood Qi attached, essentially acting as a powerful defensive skill.

However, the impact force generated by the collision still needed to be absorbed by his physical body.

Now that he understood the key points, Su Hao felt relieved. Facing Wu Cloud Sky, he didn’t seem to have anything to fear.

He could freely expend elite Blood Qi without worrying about Wu Cloud Sky’s attacks that also contained elite Blood Qi, and his physical body, strengthened by his long-term use of the “Muscle Amplification Function,” was also very durable.

In other words, when fighting an old fox like Wu Cloud Sky, if he couldn’t outsmart him, he could rely on brute force.

He’s not afraid of close combat at all!
