Chapter 451 – This Strike, the Power of Legend

Chapter 451 – This Strike, the Power of Legend

High above the sky, the Great Sun hung suspended, with clouds stretching endlessly.

Two figures burst forth from the vast expanse of white clouds, standing firm in this space. The surrounding harsh winds were cold and biting, and the blinding sun obscured vision, yet all dissipated into nothingness as they approached the vicinity of these two figures.

The Dragon from Dragon’s Slumber Valley narrowed its eyes, its pupils brimming with intense golden radiance, a brilliance that seemed even more dazzling than the blazing sun at the horizon.

It looked at Dolai, examining the Domain that had already exceeded ten thousand meters and then some.

A legendary being with boundless potential.

“Remarkable.”

“A radius of thirteen thousand meters. This being might even have the potential to step into the third realm of legend in the future. However, it will fall here.”

The Dragon’s Domain also spread out, with a radius of ninety-nine hundred meters.

It fell short of the being before it, but it was already an existence of the Soul Realm.

An existence of the Soul Realm could construct a divine foundation and ignite the flame of the Divine Soul. At this stage, its Domain could no longer expand, but with its powerful Soul Power, it could command a wider range of natural elements, and even minor spells could achieve miraculous effects.

Its Divine Soul could also leave its body, traversing thousands of miles in an instant, or it could split its Divine Soul in two, descending across realms with half of it.

Descending into a vessel prepared by others.

This was a method akin to that of a deity.

At this moment, apart from its relatively weak Physical Body, its other abilities had not diminished much, making it a true Legendary God Soul Realm existence.

The Dragon looked at Dolai.

“With your talent, you are worthy of knowing my name.”

“Remember, the one who brings your fall here is the Hunting Grand Duke ‘Pupil Blade · Cromens’ under the Twilight Throne of Dragon’s Slumber Valley.”

The Foul Dragon Cromens spoke.

Its flesh slowly transformed, a pair of Dragon Claws taking the shape of Saber blades.

“But I am stronger.”

Dolai said earnestly, “I, General Dolai, will defeat you.”

Cromens was unhurried, merely watching from afar with interest. Its vertical golden pupils grew increasingly narrow and sharp, like Sabers, as if they could slice the distant figure in two.

Whoosh—

A golden Saber light suddenly appeared, arcing in a crescent shape as it slashed into Dolai’s Domain, seemingly unimpeded, passing straight through Dolai’s small form.

Sending splatters of…

Illusions.

Dolai sprouted wings, its figure already appearing hundreds of meters away, patting its steel plate with lingering fear.

It hadn’t sensed any danger approaching at all.

This killing move was far too concealed.

The Foul Dragon Cromens spoke, “As expected of a genius being. However, this Hunting Grand Duke is also a genius among the Filth race.”

It was born from the corpse of a Dragon, reaching the Legendary Realm at birth!

It had an extremely high compatibility with its Dragon Physical Body, allowing it to perfectly, even exceptionally, unleash the innate abilities the Dragon possessed in life.

Even within Dragon’s Slumber Valley, few could withstand its Eye Blade!

The Dragon’s golden pupils shone brilliantly.

The next moment,

The golden Saber light abruptly appeared once more within Dolai’s Domain, descending upon it.

Layers of rippling water screens materialized one after another, only to be sliced apart by the golden Saber light as if cutting through cloth.

Dolai, harnessing the green wind, sped away thousands of meters in an instant, leaving behind a series of blurred afterimages high in the sky.Golden saber lights followed closely behind, appearing one after another high in the sky.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

It cut through everything, its emergence utterly abrupt. At first, they appeared one after another, but soon two, then three golden saber beams hundreds of meters long materialized simultaneously.

High above, golden radiance flickered incessantly, massive saber shadows abruptly appearing only to vanish in an instant, leaving behind lingering golden threads.

Beneath these golden threads, clouds, sunlight, waves, flames, lightning…

All were cleaved apart, nothing spared.

High in the sky, the figure of a tiny creature darted about, while the Foul Dragon Cromens merely turned slightly, appearing as if strolling through a garden.

Domain?

Useless.

No matter how vast the domain, it was but a bubble in its eyes. This was the power of the high-end Legendary Realm.

“To last this long under this Hunting Grand Duke, mortal, you should take pride.”

It spoke while looking down.

But suddenly noticed that the human, struggling awkwardly within the golden Pupil Blades, didn’t seem panicked.

“I told you, I am stronger.”In the cloud dome, Dolai suddenly stopped evading.”

It stood firm, its domain power barely capturing the massive golden saber beams slashing down from the left and above.

It didn’t dodge anymore.

Its wings dissipated, transforming into a staff in its hand. Its other hand palm-up, as if lifting something.

The next moment,

“Crack~!”

A crisp shattering sound echoed across the sea of clouds.

The golden saber beams slashing down from the left and above, until now sharp and unstoppable, suddenly broke, like two blades snapped in half.

Faintly visible, two crooked black cracks, arranged in semi-circles on Dolai’s left and right.

Like two chipped, broken sabers, yet they cleaved the golden radiance.

“Spatial power?”

The Foul Dragon Cromens’ golden pupils narrowed, “But even spatial cracks shouldn’t be able to shatter my Pupil Blades so directly.”

The sharpness of its Pupil Blades was among the finest even in Dragon’s Slumber Valley, few daring to confront them head-on.

Even the Twilight King, wielding conceptual power, wouldn’t claim greater sharpness.

“However…”

It was a Soul Realm existence after all.

The Foul Dragon’s massive golden pupils blazed with even more dazzling light, the blazing sun at the horizon seeming to dim, only its twin eyes shining brightly, like two brilliant Great Suns hanging there.

Within the Great Suns, golden threads like sabers sliced through the sky.

Space was easily torn, cracking and shattering into fractures hundreds, thousands of meters long.

Crack!

Shattered again dozens of meters before Dolai.

The Foul Dragon didn’t pause, its two eyes still radiant, in the blink of an eye several, then dozens of massive golden saber beams materialized.

One after another brilliant golden gleams flashed across the sky.

Clouds vanished, space fractured.

But at a certain moment, a certain point, the golden light shattered like fragile porcelain, violently smashed apart.

Crack! Crack! Crackcrackcrackcrackcrack—!

Shattered golden radiance scattered mid-air, soon disappearing.

Light, clouds, storms vanished.

The cracked space healed instantly under the world’s rules.

Only remaining…

Beside the blue-haired maiden, several dark folded lines like elongated black snakes, their ends coiled around her wrists, wound for dozens of meters.Like spinning wheels;

Like an indestructible shield;

Like a black divine whip that slices through everything;

“Whoosh—”

A black snake crackled and lashed upward, and in the next moment, a massive golden blade happened to appear right there, only to be shattered mid-air by the black snake’s threads.

Golden light fractured the sky, yet the black snake continued to glide effortlessly.

Beads of sweat formed on the forehead of the Foul Dragon Cromens.

It couldn’t understand.

It was utterly baffled.

Even with its Divine Soul overlooking the entire 13,000-meter radius Domain, allowing it to freely infiltrate the human’s Domain with its own power, moving at will, it held an absolute advantage in Realm and had seized control of the Battlefield. Yet…

This mysterious Space Serpent sent shivers down its spine.

What kind of technique was this!

“Your speed is relatively fast, but there are many times when we face unavoidable situations—like confronting an unmissable killing blow or needing to protect something. In those moments, you must have one or two defensive methods. Only by mastering both offense and defense can you navigate the Battlefield with greater ease.”

Back in the Great Warzone, the Lord had said this.

Dolai flipped its hand, and water screens and ice crystals appeared one by one on its palm.

The Lord continued, “What we need are unique defensive methods. We don’t necessarily have to deliberately learn or develop one; we can build upon your inherent abilities.”

“Space Devour can swallow the enemy’s killing blows, using offense as defense—something you can already do now. However, Space Devour has the flaw of not being usable continuously; the brief intervals in between are your fatal weakness. Under normal circumstances, this weakness might not be exposed, but once it is, it will be extremely deadly.”

“For this reason, I’ve designed another defensive approach for you, still using offense as defense, by leveraging the power of the Space-Tearing Seal.”

The spatial fissures created by the Space-Tearing Seal carry a hint of ‘tearing’ and ‘shattering’ concepts, far surpassing ordinary spatial cracks.

In theory, the Seal’s spatial cracks can shatter most things they touch.

However, these cracks are part of the space it splits—they can influence but not be controlled.

“The past is the past; the present is now,” the Lord said. “You are already a legendary being. Believe in your own potential. After stepping into legend, doesn’t the Seal feel more like an extension of your own body?”

“You can do it!”

I can do it!

After ten days of relentless effort, Dolai finally succeeded in manipulating the spatial cracks as flexibly as a snake.

It, General Dolai, was no longer just a brute force.

Moreover…

Using its favorite brute force methods—Blazing Sun and Nine Thunder Dragons—it probably still couldn’t overcome this Foul Dragon. Even its Nine Thunder Dragons, unleashed at full power in over-limit mode, were only close to the super spell cast by the Scepter of Heavenly Authority during the defense of Tianyuan City.

The Foul Dragon was indeed a formidable enemy.

“But, is this formidable enemy only at the Soul Realm? That’s a bit disappointing.”

Under Dolai’s will, the Space Serpents began to extend continuously.

Hundreds of meters, thousands of meters.

Like sky-devouring pythons ready to consume the world.

The Foul Dragon’s massive golden eyes scanned the area, still unable to detect any flaws, and cold sweat gradually trickled down.

“Aren’t you worried about your companions? Most of them are only newly advanced legends.””By now, your companion has likely perished at the hands of the legends from my Dragon’s Slumber Valley.”

The Foul Dragon spoke.

The spatial black snakes abruptly ceased their spread.

At this moment, the Foul Dragon’s pupils dilated violently once more. Its flesh split open with sickening pops, its entire body visibly withering before their eyes.

At this cost, two beams of golden light shot forth from its pupils.

Light, blindingly brilliant.

But only for an instant.

In that instant, the Foul Dragon didn’t witness its golden light shatter—it merely saw…

A profound, absolute darkness spreading like a black sun, devouring everything it touched.

Light, wind, sound, elements…

Everything vanished.

The two golden beams it had unleashed with its life-force, like two drops of water falling into a vast lake, disappeared without even a ripple.

Unfathomable power!

Absolutely unstoppable!

The Foul Dragon reached this conclusion.

It transformed into a stream of light fleeing toward the horizon’s end, only to suddenly realize its surroundings were dimming too.

The elemental energies around it had vanished.

Its expanded domain was disappearing inch by inch, vanishing into thin air as if being consumed, forever lost!

It glimpsed the black sun already devouring half its vision, and it seemed it could never fly beyond the black sun’s reach.

It must act decisively!

The radiant golden light in the Foul Dragon’s eyes suddenly dimmed, its entire draconic body seeming to lose vitality, becoming decayed and brittle.

A wisp of golden divine soul shot out from the dragon’s body.

The moment it left the dragon’s form, the noble golden aura swirling around the divine soul began visibly fading.

Forcibly separating the divine soul without ritual assistance risked its dissipation.

But Cromens, the Foul Dragon, couldn’t afford to care.

Following its true body’s coordinates, the divine soul began to ascend. It needed only to blink to traverse millions of miles in a single thought!

It closed its eyes.

And opened them.

Snap—

An invisible thread snapped.

The divine soul, flickering like a candle in the wind, stared at the black sun that had swallowed heaven and earth before it, mouth agape: “Human, you…”

The black sun expanded to its limit, then returned to nothingness.

Collapsed. Vanished.

Dolai blinked. “Did I hear something just now?”

Land of Red Mist, Dragon’s Slumber Valley.

On a mountain hung with massive corpse trophies, a golden dragon suddenly awoke from slumber, bloody tears streaming from its eyes, its aura withering.

“I died?”

“How did I die?”

It searched its memories.

But all memories seemed devoured too, leaving only emptiness.

Across the vast wilderness, the Battle Armor General galloped on his steed.

His horse was a privately-used puppet warhorse, its grade reaching the pinnacle of Excellence-rank.

Enhanced by his power, the puppet warhorse moved with extreme speed, yet he still murmured, “Faster, faster.”

He had already sensed the legendary battle erupting in the distance.

The elemental energies were in chaos, signaling intense combat.

“It’s here!”

A blood-red light streaked toward them from afar.

The aura of a monster washed over them.

The Battle Armor General leaped into the air, his domain with a radius of seventy-six hundred yards explosively expanding, making heaven and earth hum with vibration.

With a single strike, he smashed the blood-colored dragon—fleeing in disarray, its body scorched by golden flames—to the ground.Wait a moment, something doesn’t seem right?

He thought.

Another crimson streak of light came from the distance, this time carrying the aura of a pure living being.

A human woman clad in full armor, burning with golden flames and radiating waves of dragon might.

“Where do you think you’re escaping to!”

Behind the crimson-armored woman, a massive shadow of a burning steel dragon emerged. In an instant, a second, third, fourth… one after another, dragon phantoms of different forms appeared.

Dragon souls roared!

The crimson-armored woman shot down from the sky as if a dragon diving, like a meteor shaking heaven and earth.

Dragon Banquet Twenty Dragons Power!

Xiliu’s claws sank into the blood-colored dragon’s body. This level of damage wasn’t particularly strong against a blood dragon that could almost infinitely regenerate. However, Xiliu could faintly see that within the blood dragon’s body, there was a mottled dragon shadow that didn’t completely match its physical form – struggling, shattering, gradually disappearing.

Just an inferior dragon!

Couldn’t even provide one unit of dragon soul.

Soon, the battle ended.

The Battle Armor General hadn’t been able to intervene throughout the fight. Only now did he ask, “How’s the battle situation?”

Xiliu wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, “It’s already over. This was the last one we needed, thanks for your help.”

Battle Armor General: “Huh?”

However, from the brief battle, he could tell that this Tianyuan General before him possessed combat capabilities far beyond ordinary reasoning.

A powerful blood dragon seemed to have little resistance against her.

This combat power, even if not equal to his own, probably wouldn’t be much weaker.

And such a powerful legendary general apparently still wasn’t the strongest in Tianyuan City.

Even he couldn’t help but feel curious at this moment – who was the strongest in Tianyuan City, and just how powerful were they?

It took me forever to get through this chapter. Not the fault of the chapter, I just kept being distracted by imagining an evolution of Dolai into a world slime that reorganizes mastery of myriad phenomena that’s actually closer to miscellaneous phenomena into a single system: Creation, a subset of Miracle. To create a world within oneself; to advance alongside it through deepening understanding of not just individual natural laws but how they interact.

Slimes. One star slimes. Eggs of creation that are almost nothing to allow potential to become almost anything. Among them, a peculiar slime that awakened to the instinct of greed before intelligence or fear, full of intuitive talent to achieve whatever it desires without needing to particularly understand how. By far the most precious thing that stimulates its greed is the light of miracle that grants it evolution. Although it lacks the caliber to embrace and devour that energy like it might for lower elemental energies, it continually evolves toward that yearning. Devouring is ultimately a means, I theorize that the essence of Dolai is Lucifer arrogantly stretching out his hand to grasp the territory only permitted to gods.

All beings arise from the primordial goo.
