Chapter 146 – Tisha Xia'er

After defeating the Construct Beast, the path to “meet” Tisha Xia’er presented no further complications. Upon reflection, this made sense—Tisha Xia’er was, after all, only at the peak of the Formal-Level. Even with her profound foundations, having three Formal-Level combatants under her command was likely her limit. Once her three “guardians” fell, it was naturally this “Goddess’s” turn to take the stage!

Punk and the others maintained their triangular formation and proceeded almost unhindered into a stone chamber at the end of the cave.

“Pathetic insects, have you come to seek your own doom?!”

The three “Heroes” were greeted by Tisha Xia’er’s sharp, sinister roar.

“I am the supreme Goddess Tisha Xia’er! How dare you oppose me? Are you prepared to be reduced to ashes in my wrath?!”

As she uttered her final words, Tisha Xia’er abruptly rose to her feet. Her purple-black carapace reflected glints of cold light, and her eight limbs—sharp as any divine weapon—easily pierced the ground. Wreathed in a foul aura, she even stirred up a wave of putrid air. Though her form was not particularly large, the pressure she exerted surpassed even that of the Rock Worm and the Construct Beast combined!

At this moment, however, faced with the enraged Tisha Xia’er, Punk was more focused on something else—beneath her protective stance, a faint, barely visible stream of pale yellow energy seemed to be slowly flowing into her body.

Punk was certain: that was faith energy.

“It seems this giant spider is trying to absorb faith energy to advance her rank? Is that why she can’t leave this place?”

Though it was unclear why the absorption of faith energy had to occur in this stone chamber, the possibility of some hidden function in this location couldn’t be ruled out—especially since all three of them had their perception blocked by Legendary energy!

Now was clearly not the time for contemplation or investigation. Though the trio had just been through a battle, Tisha Xia’er was no video game boss; she wouldn’t give her enemies time to drink potions and recover health. Without any further delay, the infuriated Tisha Xia’er, whose lair had been invaded, immediately spewed large clouds of dark green mist that coiled around her body.

Clearly, she was ready to begin the fight!

“You… are… seeking… death!”

“Enough with the nonsense! Taste Bahanger’s hammer first!”

Bahanger, who had been insulted relentlessly by Tisha Xia’er, was the first to lose his patience. His rage even caused his muscles to bulge and his veins to writhe—a clear sign of berserker fury.

Seeing the dwarf in such a state, Punk abandoned any thought of stopping him. How could a berserker be halted by something as trivial as “caution”?

With no better options, Kangkai and Punk exchanged a glance, nodded to each other, and then Punk swiftly retreated while casting a spell onto his golem.

Formal-Level Summoning Magic—Summon Alloy Armor: Summons an alloy armor with extremely high physical defense to be worn by the target.

Now clad in the steel armor, Golem One transformed from a wandering warrior into a lofty, imposing steel knight. With resounding steps, he charged forcefully toward Tisha Xia’er!Kangkai’s movements were not the slightest bit slower, still employing the “Saw Wheel” and “Vibrating Blade” techniques. Transforming into a cyan buzzsaw, Kangkai aimed at Tisha Xia’er’s massive abdomen and charged at extreme speed, immediately going for a gutting strike from the outset!

But Tisha Xia’er was not so easily dealt with.

Without any panic, she swiftly danced with her multiple limbs. The sharp bone blades at the tips of her limbs transformed into a dazzling web of blades, with filthy dark green faith energy coalescing on the edges. Accompanied by sharp whistling through the air, she fiercely countered the attacks of Bahanger, Kangkai, and Golem One!

“My blade light is destined to tear everything apart”!

With a shockwave that distorted the air instantly erupting, using just two crossed limbs, Tisha Xia’er actually managed to block Bahanger’s heavy hammer.

Simultaneously, two other sharp limbs respectively countered Kangkai’s buzzsaw and Golem One’s claw strikes. For a moment, sparks flew in two directions as the piercing screech of metal grinding echoed throughout the entire cave!

Punk didn’t dare underestimate the powerful Tisha Xia’er either. In fact, upon seeing this giant spider, Punk had been the most tense among them.

According to System analysis, Tisha Xia’er’s current level was just one step away from breaking through to Master-Level.

A level fourteen peak monster – how terrifying!

With his heart chilled, Punk immediately unleashed a top-tier killing technique.

Formal-Level Spellcasting System spell – “Inflict Greater Wound”!

The instant the gray energy ball disappeared from Punk’s hand, “Inflict Greater Wound” precisely struck Tisha Xia’er’s head. However, unlike other unfortunate enemies who would have been sliced to pieces, she remained intact.

A circle of pale yellow faith energy instantly formed a sturdy protective membrane around Tisha Xia’er’s head. “Inflict Greater Wound” was forcibly compressed into a flattened balloon by this shield, and the raging ethereal energy blades failed to cause any damage to Tisha Xia’er!

“Ahahahaha, is this all you’ve got? You’re really—so ignorant of your impending doom”!

Surrounded by attackers, Tisha Xia’er showed no panic. Almost simultaneously with Punk’s spell failing, she fiercely launched a counterattack.

“I’m going to chop all you blasphemers into mincemeat, ahahahaha”!

Tisha Xia’er screamed neurotically while strands of filthy pale yellow faith energy crawled over her body. Energy patterns transformed into images of dancing demons that madly writhed across Tisha Xia’er’s form.

Empowered by the filthy faith energy, Tisha Xia’er’s strength suddenly increased. The limb blocking Kangkai violently jerked upward, and unable to withstand the tremendous force, Kangkai had to quickly stop rotating and dodge sideways.

But on the other side, Golem One with its inflexible thinking wasn’t so fortunate. Though at the critical moment Punk urgently commanded Golem One to cross its claws in front of its chest for defense, it was still violently flung away by Tisha Xia’er.

Golem One was sent flying back faster than it had charged forward, plowing a deep trench in the hard rock ground before crashing “BOOM!” against the solid cave wall, leaving a massive crater in the stone!

“Raaaaaah”!Bahanger also sensed the increase in Tisha Xia’er’s strength, but he was a berserker in a state of rage. Without hesitation, he tensed his muscles and channeled his Battle Aura to confront Tisha Xia’er head-on!

“Damn insect!”

Seeing that the dwarf still hadn’t been sent flying, Tisha Xia’er immediately intensified her force. Her slender limbs now possessed incredible power and hardness. Even though Bahanger had concentrated all his Battle Aura into his arms, he couldn’t avoid being slowly pushed back by Tisha Xia’er. The rocks beneath his feet cracked piece by piece, and his wildly surging earth-attribute Battle Aura actually formed a layer of blazing yellow flames around his body!

“You… have… a… death… wish!”

The furious Tisha Xia’er had no intention of continuing a contest of strength with Bahanger. Two of her free limbs instantly transformed into emerald-green lightning, stabbing toward Bahanger’s ribs.

“Whoosh!”

The sound of tearing air was sharp and piercing.

If this strike landed, even if Bahanger used “Battle Aura Armor” for defense again, he wouldn’t escape having four additional holes in his body.

As the emerald-green limbs drew closer to Bahanger’s body, a ferocious smile spread across Tisha Xia’er’s chitin-covered face. She added more force once again, and with a crisp explosive sound, the speed and power of her limbs increased further. Tisha Xia’er couldn’t help but let out a maddened shriek:

“Die, heretic!”
