Chapter 213 – Attack
Chapter 213 – Attack
Five deep purple “Kinetic Cones” simultaneously struck the iron sphere enveloping Iron Tower. Punk had intentionally dispersed these five “Kinetic Cones” enhanced by “Mana Compression” for this assault.
This massive iron sphere clearly connected with Iron Tower’s Battle Aura. If Iron Tower dispersed his Battle Aura to defend against all five “enhanced Kinetic Cones,” it would prove his “tortoise shell” defense relied entirely on Battle Aura reinforcement. If he ignored the spell attacks instead, it would demonstrate the “shell” itself possessed formidable defensive capabilities.
“If it’s the former scenario, widespread attacks could disperse Iron Tower’s Douqi Condensation, creating an opening for a finishing blow. If it’s the latter… we’ll have to test whether ‘Lesser Disintegrate’ proves effective.”
While strategizing, Punk commanded Golem Two to monitor Bloodclaw’s movements closely. No matter how intense the battle became, Punk wouldn’t neglect the seemingly harmless vampire spellcaster, who lacked Iron Tower’s insane comprehensive defensive capabilities.
Confronted with five simultaneously launched “Kinetic Cones,” Iron Tower roared furiously. Cyan-black Battle Aura formed shimmering intricate patterns across the giant iron sphere. When all five projectiles struck different sections of the sphere, the screeching impact echoed like thousands of nails scraping slate.
As purple energy sparks dissipated, five gaping wounds appeared on the iron sphere – only to be sealed by undulating liquid metal the next second.
“Hahaha! Such feeble attacks can’t even scratch an itch for this lord!”
Amid the fading energy particles, Iron Tower began morphing his form while laughing maniacally.
Observing the negligible damage, Punk frowned slightly. This probing attack yielded both good and bad news: the positive being that Iron Tower’s liquid metal defense required Battle Aura reinforcement, the negative being his Battle Aura consumption fell far below Punk’s estimations.
“What a troublesome tortoise shell!”
Punk cursed inwardly in frustration.
By now Iron Tower had shifted into the same form used for his final strike against Vick Swordsaint. Transforming into a gigantic rotating cone enveloped in dark Battle Aura, he generated a terrifying whirlwind around the tip – clearly intending to test this armor-piercing technique against Punk.
“Hahaha! Pathetic insect! Reckless spellcaster! Grovel and beg before me! Then… DIE!”
With this arrogant proclamation, the massive cone shot toward Punk at incredible speed. The spiraling Battle Aura around the sharp tip carried earth-piercing momentum as cyan-black Wind-Type Battle Aura erupted toward its target.
“PERISH FOR THIS LORD–!”
“So much useless chatter!”Facing the supersonic spiral cone hurtling toward him, Punk calmly maintained a “Kinetic Shield.”
Of course, Punk had no illusions that such a barely-there “Kinetic Shield” could withstand Iron Tower’s full-force strike. In fact, he never intended to take the blow head-on. That minimally-magicked “Kinetic Shield” was merely a decoy to make Iron Tower believe he planned to endure the attack.
According to Punk’s reasoning, since Iron Tower concentrated all his Battle Aura at the cone’s tip for the assault, the defense at the base of the cone would inevitably be weakened.
Thus, Punk’s plan was to activate the solidified spell—Anywhere Door—on his Master-level Robe the moment Iron Tower shattered his “Kinetic Shield.” He would set the entrance behind himself and the exit at the base of Iron Tower’s cone.
Finally, he would traverse through the Anywhere Door to attack the underside of Iron Tower’s massive metal cone.
“This is the last Anywhere Door for the next twenty-seven hours. If this fails, I’ll have to resort to a war of attrition with this hulking brute!”
Punk silently thought this as he clutched a prepped spell in his hand.
In the next instant, Iron Tower’s attack reached Punk’s flimsy “Kinetic Shield,” the enormous spiral spike already grazing its surface.
But just as Punk was about to activate the “Anywhere Door,” Iron Tower—seemingly on the verge of “piercing” the Kinetic Shield—suddenly exploded mid-air. The liquid metal dispersed into countless filaments finer than hair strands, nimbly bypassing Punk’s “Kinetic Shield”!
Though scattered, these slender threads, reduced in volume and propelled by explosive Battle Aura, moved more than twice as fast as the previous “massive cone.”
In a flash, all the gleaming silver threads coiled behind Punk, intertwining to reform into a bulky humanoid figure. However, this form no longer had a trace of Battle Aura swirling around it—it appeared completely devoid of offensive or defensive capabilities for at least half a second.
Meanwhile, in front of Punk, a shriveled, shattered corpse plummeted heavily from the air.
“Hahaha! Did you really think I wouldn’t guard against your ‘Anywhere Door’? Bet you didn’t see this coming—this is my true form!”
Iron Tower maniacally stared at Punk’s astonished face, unable to contain his hysterical laughter as he swiftly retrieved the Master-level Spell Scroll he had just obtained from the Green Vine Family.
Iron Tower wasn’t one for endless chatter; he preferred savoring the thrill of his enemies’ despairing cries.
Had he not acquired this scroll, Iron Tower wouldn’t have dared use the “Disperse and Reassemble” technique for a surprise attack. Although dispersing allowed “Iron Tower” to drastically increase his speed, both during the process and for half a second after reassembly, he was utterly vulnerable—completely incapable of attack or defense. Theoretically, this move was only suited for escape, not assault. However, after obtaining this Master-level Scroll that constantly exuded an aura of danger, Iron Tower’s mind became unusually active. Though he didn’t recognize the spell inscribed on the scroll, his intuition assured him it was an offensive-type spell. Thus, he immediately planned to use this scroll to catch Punk off guard.
“Now, as long as I kill this guy, that Master-level Robe, that piece of Parchment, and even the secret behind his formidable attack power will all be mine, all mine”!
In his metallic state, Iron Tower’s smile twisted into something eerie and bizarre. Aiming at Punk, he tore open the Master-level magic scroll, his bloodthirsty eyes filled with mad anticipation—the kind known as “the despair of an enemy.”
“Die, ahahahaha…………”!
But what greeted Iron Tower wasn’t the desperate screams of the weaklings he had slain before. Instead, it was an expressionless, icy-cold face and a sentence dripping with sarcasm:
“What a fucking moron”!
