Chapter 275 – Benlajet-Nokanini

Although the design of the reception golem made Punk desperately want to complain, he still listened carefully to the golem’s explanation of the exchange rules. After all, this information would only be provided once by the golem. Even as a “Senior Mentor,” Punk couldn’t obtain any special privileges from a pre-programmed golem.

The fully energy-based “Ethereal Soul Projection” pointed indifferently at the information on the projection panel and said:

“This exchange section is divided into ‘Headquarters Section’ and ‘Branch Section.’ All mentors of the Thought of Truth can list resources they wish to sell in these sections. However, once listed, the information cannot be revoked. If a buyer arrives but the seller cannot provide the corresponding resources, they will face penalties including reduced credit rating and fines.

The ‘Branch Section’ displays resources available at this Thought of Truth Branch in Grey Rain Kingdom. Buyers only need to pay a sufficient number of exchange points, and golems responsible for transportation will deliver the goods to the buyer’s residence.

For resources in the ‘Headquarters Section,’ in addition to paying the exchange points set by the seller, buyers must also cover the necessary transmission costs. Transmission fees vary based on the energy level of the item and the distance between buyer and seller. Please pay special attention to this.”

After finishing its explanation, the golem stood motionless nearby.

“The rules are fairly straightforward. I just hope the transmission fees for items from the headquarters aren’t too outrageous. Otherwise, the resources available at this branch alone won’t be particularly abundant.”

Punk frowned slightly as he opened the section listings.

The resources in the Headquarters Section were, needless to say, terrifyingly numerous and comprehensive, covering everything from all corners of the world. Whether it was the Desolation Trees from the endless deserts, the Moray Driftfish unique to the Chaotic Sea, or even the Luminous Shadow Flowers that only grow in divine realms—all were displayed.

Of course, aside from their inherently expensive values, Punk couldn’t even afford the transmission costs required due to the vast distances involved.

Eventually, Punk gave up his dazzled inspection of these precious items that he could only look at but not obtain, and instead focused on searching for the resources he needed.

Fortunately, the creators of the projection panel seemed to have considered the convenience of searching. This seemingly simple projection panel did include a search function. Punk didn’t need to manually sift through the massive database item by item; he only needed to input keywords to get the information he wanted. In this aspect of magical application, the Thought of Truth was no worse than Earth’s Baidu or Google.

Punk first searched for information on Oak Fire Crystal.

Unfortunately, Oak Fire Crystal wasn’t available at this Thought of Truth Branch in Grey Rain Kingdom. This type of fire crystal is only produced in areas where fire elements are highly concentrated, such as a branch in the Mossaire Kingdom located right next to a volcano, where Oak Fire Crystal was available for purchase.

“At least it’s being sold somewhere!”

That was Punk’s first thought. Then… when he saw the price, his thinking immediately changed.

The panel displaying the fire crystal price clearly stated:

“Oak Fire Crystal, over 95% purity. Selling price: 17 exchange points.

Required transmission fee: 20 exchange points!”Punk felt any trace of good mood vanish as he looked at the data. Although he had anticipated that even legendary organizations would consume significant resources to establish teleportation arrays bypassing unstable spatial regions—making the fees far from as low as Earth’s express delivery—he never expected the cost to be this exorbitant. The teleportation fee actually exceeded the price of the Orei Fire Rock Crystal itself.

After scanning other products, Punk found this inflated teleportation pricing to be universal. Ultimately, he could only sigh in resignation:
“What else can I do? Buy it. Even if the teleportation cost is absurd, it’s better than being unable to purchase it. Just having access to such a precious resource is fortunate enough.”

With a helpless shake of his head, Punk handed his Identity Card to the golem.
The golem didn’t take the card but lightly tapped its edge with a finger before turning to declare:
“Respected Master Punk-Cyan, your purchase procedure is complete. Please safeguard your card. Your Orei Fire Rock Crystal with over 95% purity will be delivered to your Magic Tower within three days.”

“Next, I need information on Minisen Alloy.”
“According to records, the Gray Rain Kingdom Branch maintains ample reserves of Minisen Alloy. The seller offers it at two exchange points per kilogram. Do you wish to proceed?”

“Oh? Available locally? This should save quite a sum.”
Hearing this, Punk breathed a sigh of relief. His current financial state was dire—if this widely used metal also required staggering teleportation fees, he’d have to postpone his golem construction plans. But with local stock available, things became manageable.

“I’ll purchase thirty kilograms for now,” Punk promptly instructed.
Semi-elemental golems were lightweight constructs, and even accounting for material waste, thirty kilograms would suffice.

After completing the transaction, Punk prepared to depart. The Thought of Truth’s logistics required retrieving goods from sellers, so the Minisen Alloy would take about a day to reach his Magic Tower.

“Please wait, Master Punk-Cyan!”
Just as Punk stepped beyond the Pyramid exchange’s entrance, the golem—already returning to its counter—suddenly called out:
“Master Benlajie-Nokani, the seller of Minisen Alloy, has sent a message. Please receive it, Master Punk-Cyan.”
Though the golem’s voice wasn’t loud, Punk heard every syllable clearly.

“Master Benlajie-Nokani?”
Puck frowned slightly. He knew this master was one of the six master-level spellcasters at the Gray Rain Kingdom’s Thought of Truth Branch, but they had no acquaintance. Could a seller be requesting to meet the buyer?

Puzzled, Punk returned to the projection panel and opened the message from Master Benlajie-Nokani.
The projected handwriting appeared in neat, ink-green Common script:”Hello, Mr. Cyan. I happen to have Minisen Alloy stored in the warehouse of my Magic Tower. If you don’t mind, I’d like to invite you to visit my Magic Tower as a guest. As a hospitable mage, I sincerely look forward to your visit ———— Benlajie-Nokani.”
