Chapter 471 – Spoils of War – Vector

Chapter 471 – Spoils of War – Vector

“Impossible! I am a raven yearning for freedom. No one can deprive me of my liberty. I shall choose my Boss according to my own will—your delusions are utterly meaningless!”

Though bound tightly by magical restraints, Vector’s voice grew increasingly resolute.

As time passed, this cunning Magic Raven gradually regained some confidence. It now carried itself like an unyielding warrior ready to face death, the blue feathers on its head nearly bristling with defiance.

However… Vector’s “unyielding spirit” was clearly misplaced. He wasn’t facing some soft-hearted benevolent priest… but Punk, this cruel and icy powerful spellcaster!

Hearing Vector’s furious roar in its childish voice, Punk showed no trace of disappointment. He merely paused calmly in the desert. As he abruptly halted his high-speed movement, the resulting shockwave sent sand particles flying. When the dust settled, Punk’s figure almost completely merged with the night.

“Vector… I must admit you possess some backbone… far more than I anticipated… But I must remind you of three facts!”

Standing beneath the brilliant starry sky, Punk’s voice cut through the air like an icy gale, his gloomy solemnity seeming capable of piercing into the deepest recesses of any soul.

Slowly raising a hand, two pale purple cones materialized in Punk’s palms. Simultaneously, the aloof mage addressed Vector in an utterly emotionless tone:

“First: You are no raven. You merely resemble one. You’re nothing but a low-level magical Alchemical Creation—and a shoddy practice piece at that!

Second: Under current circumstances, you hold no bargaining chips. Beyond compliance, I see no alternative options for you… Frankly, I expected you to recognize this reality clearly.

Third: I detest wasting time on meaningless chatter. If you persist in refusing to acknowledge a new master… then the ‘consequences’ you’ll face will likely be far from pleasant.”

Punk didn’t explicitly state what would happen if Vector continued resisting, but the two Velocity Kinetic Cones aimed at the raven’s head sufficiently conveyed his stance.

The Magical Raven Vector’s Directional Interference could only target one entity at a time. Beyond this powerful Legendary spell, its physical defenses were practically laughable. Should Punk’s Velocity Kinetic Cones pierce its skull and destroy Vector’s artificial soul, this “freedom-yearning” magical creature would undoubtedly perish completely!

As magical energies swirled around Punk’s hands, the pale purple glow of kinetic force quietly illuminated a small patch of night. The cold breeze rustled through desert sands in endless whispers across the silent darkness. Drifting clouds gradually obscured the sky, causing the three moons’ radiance to dim steadily with each passing moment.

Gulp!Held upside down by Punk, Vector silently swallowed hard. The Magic Raven probably didn’t even realize its own cowardly appearance at this moment—staring at the sharp tip of the “Velocity Kinetic Cone,” the fine down on Vector’s head began to tremble uncontrollably, while the few magnificent azure feathers on its body were visibly turning white at a pitiful speed.

These outward changes were more than enough to illustrate Vector’s overwhelming fear.

But fear aside, Vector still didn’t believe Punk would actually go through with destroying it.

After all, it was confident in being a precious Legendary-tier magical creation. Back when Sorsend took it under his wing, he had coaxed and persuaded with endless smiles. To yield now under Punk’s threats… Vector couldn’t accept it.

And so, even as it watched the two energy-charged “Velocity Kinetic Cones” vibrating intensely, Vector stubbornly blustered with as much bravado as it could muster:

“Wh-what… what do you think you’re doing? I… I’m telling you… don’t you dare mess around! Th-this… this is all useless trickery. Do you really think I’m… a crow that fears threats?”

Straining to turn its head away from the cone tips, Vector’s pupils had contracted to the size of needle points.

Though it repeatedly told itself to stand firm, to at least secure some benefits or promises before the end… having two lethal spells aimed directly at its head made Vector realize it could barely form coherent words.

Was it a Magic Raven that feared threats?

Punk could answer definitively:

“Absolutely, it is a Magic Raven that fears threats!”

Vector’s cowardice was an unavoidable trait—its personality characteristics were hardwired into its virtual soul by its creator. Unless it could accomplish the feat of “virtual soul ascending to true soul” and then achieve “Cage Escape,” Vector’s timidity was fundamentally unchangeable.

Precisely because of this, even as he listened to the Magic Raven’s hysterical shrieks in its childish voice, Punk—who understood this perfectly—had no doubt that Vector would yield.

After hearing the Magic Raven’s final struggles, Punk met Vector’s gaze without hesitation. Meanwhile, the previously stationary “Velocity Kinetic Cones” in his hands began spinning rapidly.

The terrifying air currents from the leaking kinetic energy caused the very space to vibrate at uncontrollable high frequencies, while the sharp, intense noise ripped through the night’s tranquility!

And in Vector’s eyes… it only saw the terrifying tips of the “Velocity Kinetic Cones” drawing closer and closer.

This was the precursor to a spell’s attack. The subtly fracturing space beside the Magic Raven’s head seemed to foretell the consequences of refusal. In its mind, Vector could vividly imagine the two “Velocity Kinetic Cones” shattering its skull. That was undoubtedly a terrifying scene—the violent kinetic energy would effortlessly tear apart this body pieced together from alchemical scraps. The energy circuits buried within it would instantly combust into flames, while its most core and fragile virtual soul would dissipate into nothingness like a wisp of smoke in the very first moment!

By then, the magic raven named Vector would be utterly annihilated!

Just imagining that horrifying “future,” Vector, already feeling a stinging pain in its soul, was nearly scared out of its wits. Even though reason told it that Punk would absolutely not destroy such a precious legendary alchemical creation like itself, but…

Watching the deep purple light almost filling its entire field of vision, Vector, already under the illusion of being shattered, wasted no time and immediately opened its virtual soul core permissions to Punk.

“Enough, enough, Boss, please put away those two spells quickly. I forgot to tell you… I… I’m also scared of needles”!

Finally got another recommendation, seeking a bit of ticket support~
