Chapter 59 – Punk’s “Requisition”

Chapter 59 – Punk's "Requisition"

The youth who emerged calmly from the dust was none other than Punk, who had just exited the Lush Forest!

To ordinary commoners, the shaded Lush Forest was a terrifying forbidden land. To the Kamos Kingdom and Dillon Kingdom, the Lush Forest served as a natural barrier between the two nations. But for a powerful Formal Mage, the vast Lush Forest was merely a shadowy, overgrown backyard. As Punk walked through the forest, simply releasing his Formal-Level pressure was enough to scare away all the hungry beasts. Of course, for Punk who had already mastered several Formal-Level spells, hunting was never a troublesome matter!

Using a Formal-Level Divination Spell, Punk easily located Doleiz City in the Dillon Kingdom. Though he had emerged from the Lush Forest, the long “trek across mountains and rivers” had left him quite irritable. Most importantly, he needed a safe and quiet environment to carefully study the spells left behind by Mainaixi. Neither the noisy forest nor the rugged abandoned trade routes could provide conditions that met Punk’s requirements.

The most pressing issue was the considerable distance remaining to Doleiz City. Walking on foot would be both uncomfortable and time-consuming. But summoning a fast mount… remembering the “embarrassing encounter” with that foolish dog he summoned back in Konola City… that was pure black history that must never be repeated!

Just as Punk sighed and resolved to patiently “measure” every inch of land leading to Doleiz City, his sharp eyes detected a small caravan approaching leisurely on the distant horizon.

The caravan was quite small, and its accompanying private guards were mostly ordinary people. Only one half-baked Apprentice-Level warrior was present, whom Punk didn’t even deem worthy of attention. Though the silver-embossed emblem on the carriage indicated the owner’s noble status, this “low-profile” travel arrangement clearly marked them as nothing more than a declining minor noble.

Eager to begin his spell research, Punk wasn’t about to let such comfortable transportation slip away. After repeatedly confirming that the entire caravan posed no threat to him, Punk decisively intervened to stop the procession, while testing his newly learned Formal-Level spell—”Kinetic Burst.””

Being newly advanced to the Formal Level, Punk forgot to restrain his pressure when casting the spell, resulting in the poor Lotalan still trembling in fear. Of course, Punk wouldn’t bother with such trivial matters!

It wasn’t until Punk approached the front of the caravan that the stunned Old Butler and mounted warrior realized they had been stopped… by a mysterious Formal Mage?

The tall warrior quickly dismounted, though the large warrior still towered over the merely fifteen-year-old Punk, creating a momentarily awkward atmosphere!

Unlike the dumbfounded warrior, the Old Butler didn’t remain frozen in place. He respectfully stepped forward, performed a standard butler’s salute, and cautiously inquired of Punk:

“Might I ask, honored Formal Mage, as the current butler of the Minohorn Family, is there anything I might do to serve you?”The warrior beside him also nodded nervously, sweating profusely. He truly wished he had some dwarf blood in him—being so tall and “looking down” on this mage who seemed to have a rather short temper… He was terrified of being turned into sweet and sour pork by a fireball from Punk!

Fortunately, Punk couldn’t care less about such trivial details. His only goal was to sit quietly and comfortably in the carriage, undisturbed, while studying advanced Formal-Level magic theory. Without even glancing at the Old Butler or the apprentice warrior, he casually tossed out a bottle of sleeping potion he had brewed on the way as payment and headed straight for the carriage!

“Wait a moment, Lord Mage, are you heading to Doleiz City…”

“Correct!”

Without turning his head, Punk casually cast a Divination Spell, and the caravan’s destination became crystal clear to him. There was no way the Old Butler could dismiss him with an excuse about taking a different route.

Punk pulled open the carriage door directly, and what greeted his eyes was an adorable Little Lolita… and a Little Girl dressed as a maid trembling behind her!

“Get out!”

Punk glanced at the Little Lolita. He had to admit—her stubborn gaze, tightly pressed lips, and the occasional twitch of her delicate little nose gave off a vibe that made one want to tease her. But right now, Punk just wanted to study his spells in peace. He had no desire to be disturbed by a curious brat. Of course, it never crossed his mind that he was essentially “taking over someone else’s property.” In Punk’s view, he had already provided what could be considered a generous payment, and this carriage should belong exclusively to him until they reached Doleiz City!

But Little Lolita Lotalan clearly didn’t see it that way. As a cherished young lady, when had she ever been treated like this? In her anger, Lotalan momentarily forgot what kind of powerful figure she was facing. She forced herself to meet Punk’s deep, azure eyes and began to argue her case!

“You know, I am Lotalan Minohorn! This carriage belongs to me! Now you’re forcing me, the owner, to get out without even explaining yourself? Even for a guest, this is too, too, too much! I refuse to get out!”

Puckering his brow at Lotalan, who resembled an angry kitten, Punk was about to cast Mage Hand to toss the brat out. But then it occurred to him that he knew nothing about Doleiz City. Why not gather some information from this noble young lady along the way? It would save him the trouble of casting a Divination Spell every few steps.

So, Punk resumed his expressionless demeanor. With a slight wave of his hand, a bit of magical force pushed Lotalan’s petite frame onto the carriage seat, and he ducked inside.

“Wah! What are you doing?!”

Lotalan, shoved into her seat by the magic, cried out in shock. Her face flushed bright red from indignation and humiliation.

“Oh dear~ Young Miss, this is a great Formal-Level Mage! And the gentleman has generously given us an Alchemical Potion. We mustn’t be discourteous!”

Seeing his young lady recklessly shouting at a Formal-Level Mage, the Old Butler nearly burst into tears. He rushed to the carriage at breakneck speed, flattering Punk while trying to calm Lotalan down.”What? How old is he, and he’s already a Formal Mage?”

This time it was Lotalan’s turn to be shocked, as she hadn’t witnessed Punk’s “masterpiece.” Even a sheltered noble lady like her knew how formidable a Formal Mage was. Typically, an entire city would only have one Formal-Level powerhouse stationed there, but… but the young man opposite them was just too youthful!

Fortunately, Lotalan wasn’t a spoiled, arrogant young lady, and her family didn’t have the protection of a Formal-Level powerhouse. So, even though she felt wronged and ashamed inside, she quietly sat by the window like an obedient schoolgirl, with only her pouting lips betraying her current unhappiness!
