He and his assistant had split up, visiting numerous companies and making countless calls. But when people heard that the film had no famous director, no well-known actors, and even the investment was pitifully small, they simply refused to invest.

After working hard for most of the summer, they still hadn’t raised a single cent, instead wearing out two pairs of shoes.

It was utterly disheartening.

If Yunxi hadn’t mentioned that the office building was sponsored, he probably would have considered cutting this scene. But her words rekindled his hope that had long died out.

“Could we get the sponsor to cover the smashing the Arcade scene?”

Ye Junpo laid all his cards on the table, staring intently at Ye Yunxi.

He was hopeful—hopeful that this film, whether in its buildup or climax, could be perfectly presented to the audience.

This was his obsession as a director!

For a moment, the room fell silent. Even Ye Yunji instinctively looked at his younger sister, as if she weren’t his sibling but the powerful backer they desperately needed to cling to.

“Alright, I’ll negotiate!”

Ye Yunxi nodded. For her family, she would go all out.

Joining the military was to protect the country—the nation was the greater family to defend. And now, this smaller family—she would protect it just as resolutely!

Ye Junpo’s anxious heart settled. Somehow, even though he couldn’t secure sponsorship himself, he just felt that Yunxi could do it!

He firmly believed that Yunxi would definitely succeed.
