Chapter 132 – Who’s Tricking Whom? (Part Three)

Chapter 132 – Who's Tricking Whom? (Part Three)

After handling matters at the arcade, Ye Yunxi directly notified Ye Junpo, sending her father into a state of wild excitement.

“It actually worked? Another sponsorship from the Families of Empire’s Sword? Fantastic! Our Yunxi is truly remarkable. We couldn’t secure this sponsorship no matter how hard we tried, but Yunxi resolved it the moment she stepped in!”

“However, we only have three days. Dad, make the necessary preparations!”

“Alright!”

Ye Junpo turned around to begin preparations.

The smashing of the arcade was the climax of this film. Undercover agent Xing Ye and police officer Nan Shao meet here. When Xing Ye’s undercover identity is exposed, the gangsters retaliate violently. Not only do they wreck the arcade, but they also attempt to kill Xing Ye and Nan Shao. The two fight while fleeing, but they are outnumbered. Realizing his exposure has rendered him useless, Xing Ye uses his own flesh and blood to cover Nan Shao’s escape with the evidence.

The entire scene conveys tragic heroism and righteous grandeur. To film this segment perfectly, Ye Junpo even invited his senior, Chun Feng—a revered director in the entertainment industry known for his mastery of camera movements and framing.

The arcade’s operating hours are typically from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. As soon as Zhang Le closed up, Ye Junpo arrived with the crew and equipment, working through the night to set up.

Chun Feng didn’t idle either. He collaborated with his junior, explaining where to best place the cameras and how to shoot the scenes, while also gathering all the actors to brief them on every key moment.

But the ones who truly needed to hit their marks were Ye Yunxi and Di Junxie, the lead roles. The minor thugs just had to stay out of the way.

After a night of explanations and no rest in the morning, once all equipment was ready, Ye Junpo had the actors rehearse the entire process—simulating the destruction without actually breaking anything.

Even so, many mistakes were identified. Ye Junpo and Chun Feng provided individual guidance, refining the wrecking sequence to achieve the most impactful visuals and perfect emotional resonance!

After repeated rehearsals, filming officially began!

Multiple cameras were positioned, with some hidden in dark corners to capture additional angles.

In the late-night arcade, the crowd continued to flow. Xing Ye flirted with the beautiful bartender while whistling a rogue tune, his small ponytail bouncing. His gaze seemed to casually sweep the arcade but ultimately settled on a stern, handsome man behind a racing simulator.

She turned to exchange a large bag of tokens with the bartender and slowly made her way toward the racing simulator.

If she could just hand the evidence to Nan Shao today, her undercover mission would be over, and she could return home to her wife and children.

During an intentional bump, Xing Ye slipped a package into Nan Shao’s pocket, cursing loudly, “Are you blind? Can’t you see I’m passing through…”

Before he could finish, someone rushed over, collided hard with Xing Ye, then turned and left.

The person was gone, but a gleaming knife was now embedded in Xing Ye’s abdomen. Crimson blood, like a venomous snake, trickled down his body, staining the floor.

Nan Shao was startled and moved to help, but a group of thugs wielding machetes and clubs had silently flooded in through the entrance.

“Found them!”

Someone shouted, and the gang charged forward ferociously. Baseball bats overturned arcade machines, smashing everything intact into fragments!

People screamed and dodged, but some were struck down by unseen clubs. Blood was everywhere, yet the gang continued to press forward menacingly.”Fucking Xing Ye, you damn mole! Stabbing you once is letting you off easy! Get him, boys! I’m gonna sacrifice her to my blade!”

Xing Ye clutched his wound, the knife having pierced deep into his organs. The pain was so intense he nearly blacked out, blood loss leaving his face deathly pale. Yet he mustered his remaining strength and shoved Nan Shao into the fire escape.

“Go!”
