Chapter 493 – Young Master Ming's Scheme (Part One)
“Who’s there?!”
The gloomy voice instantly froze Ming Siye in his tracks. The door behind him was abruptly pulled open, exposing the Second Young Master of the Ming Residence completely bare before everyone.
“Second Young Master?”
Song Bin breathed a sigh of relief upon recognizing him, having initially suspected a spy in the room—only to find it was the Second Young Master.
The others also relaxed, except for Ming Siyao, whose intense gaze remained fixed on his younger brother.
“You may all leave now. Si Ye, come inside!”
“Yes, Young Master!”
The crowd slowly withdrew, closing the door behind them.
Ming Siye felt a surge of fear, keeping his head lowered and not daring to look up.
Ming Siyao watched his younger brother in silence. No one could guess what was going through his mind. The Eldest Young Master of the Ming Residence merely swept his somber eyes instinctively toward the distant darkness before rising and approaching Ming Siye.
He reached out, gently patting his younger brother’s shoulder, then leaned forward slightly, his dark eyes meeting his brother’s equally black ones.
“Si Ye, you must remember—your surname is Ming, not Ye!”
The calm tone soothed Ming Siye’s tense nerves. He instinctively looked up, meeting Ming Siyao’s gaze. “Brother, Ye Yunxi saved my life.”
During the beach vacation, if it hadn’t been for Ye Yunxi, he would have either sunk to the bottom of the sea or been devoured by sharks. Brother, Ye Yunxi is truly a good person!
“Brother, could you go easy on her?”
The Ye Family isn’t even a member of the Imperial Sword. Brother, isn’t it excessive to target someone with no background like that?
Observing Ming Siye’s expression, the man coldly straightened up and replied indifferently, “To be ruthless is to be a true man, Ming Siye. Mercy toward enemies is cruelty to oneself. Have you forgotten how I brought you back here?”
Mentioning the past made Ming Siye instinctively bite his lip, his body trembling slightly.
He didn’t want to recall those memories!
“Knock, knock!”
A knock sounded at the door. Ming Siyao said calmly, “Enter!”
The door opened, and a petite woman with a curvaceous figure entered with a cheerful smile.
She carried a bowl of hot soup, seemingly unbothered by the chilly atmosphere in the room. After setting it down with a smile, she turned and gently stroked Ming Siye’s hair. “Si Ye, you mustn’t cause trouble for your brother. He’s handling very important matters, isn’t he?”
“Qianqian Jie…”
“Go on, focus on your studies and aim to get into Royal Duke. Your brother has never let you down along the way, has he?”
Lin Qianqian smiled warmly. After a moment’s thought, Ming Siye finally turned and left.
Once everyone had gone, Lin Qianqian picked up the soup and brought it to Ming Siyao.
“Yao Ge, have something to eat. This is your favorite sweet soup.”
Ming Siyao glanced at the soup, then at the gently smiling woman, his brow slightly furrowed. “Do you also think I’m heartless?”
“Of course not. Yao Ge, you’re the kindest person in the world. Here, have some soup!”
Lin Qianqian coaxed him softly. Only then did Ming Siyao’s cold expression gradually soften. He lowered his head and sipped the sweet soup from Lin Qianqian’s fair fingers.
His dark eyes warmed with a hint of tenderness. “Qianqian, it’s just as delicious as before.”
“As long as you like it.” Lin Qianqian continued feeding him spoonful by spoonful until the man’s icy demeanor was entirely replaced by overflowing affection.Ming Siyao asked in a low voice, “Do you feel wronged, following me without any name or status?”
Lin Qianqian smiled, “I’ve been with you for twelve years, Yao Ge. You’re meant for great things!”
Ming Siyao suddenly laughed. Though faint, the distinct curve lifting the corners of his lips was visible.
“Right. So Ye Yunxi must be eliminated!”
