Chapter 556 – Third Chance (Part One)
“I heard you got perfect scores in your exams, full marks in the college entrance exam, and Night Phoenix became the Junyao First Club. To celebrate, I’m treating you to a meal.”
The Young Emperor leisurely slipped on his velvet gloves, his neurotic insistence on smoothing out every wrinkle inexplicably captivating.
Ye Yunxi responded indifferently: “But Senior Bai is treating all of us to an all-you-can-eat buffet at 888 per person. Want to come?”
The gloving motion paused slightly. Di Junxie looked as if disturbed, his expression turning cold as he lifted his gloomy gaze to land on Bai Jingchen.
Young Master Bai: “……”
Why was he looking at him like that?
Had he ever offended the Young Emperor??
Probably not, right??
Families that couldn’t break into the Imperial Sword’s top thirty rankings would never have any interaction with those at the very top, but…
What was with this murderous glare?
Bai Jingchen felt an inexplicable sense of dread, beginning to mentally review every interaction he and his entire Bai Family had ever had with the Di Family.
After going through everything, he still found no issues. So why exactly was he being looked at like this??
Even being called a fox-like character, Young Master Bai remained utterly perplexed.
Meanwhile, Di Junxie indifferently smoothed out the final wrinkle, curling his lips: “I’ll go!”
An 888-yuan buffet was enough to lure away his woman??
Then he had to see just how high-end this place really was.
“But you’re coming with me.”
The car door opened as the Young Emperor glanced at Ye Yunxi.
She shrugged and turned back: “You all go ahead first. We’ll catch up later.”
“Okay, we’re heading out first!”
Everyone waved and went to get their cars.
Little did they know they’d end up waiting for a full hour.
Damn!
Where did these two go to eat??
The primeval forest??
Driving for an hour without arriving was absolutely ridiculous!!
Meanwhile, the Young Emperor had driven to a flower shop.
Since this was to celebrate his woman’s achievements, the first gift had to come from him!
Not fond of the beautiful sound of violins, only liking flowers??
Then he’d give her flowers – a whole car full of flowers.
As the rich floral fragrance filled every corner of the vehicle, even the air becoming saturated with the sweet, intoxicating scent of blossoms, even the tough Jeep seemed to soften with tenderness.
Ye Yunxi watched in surprise as workers continuously filled every corner of the car with red roses, until even she was buried within this intoxicating sea of flowers.
Di Junxie looked upon the scene with satisfaction. His treasure sat among the fully bloomed red roses like the most beautiful doll, more exquisite and vibrant than the flowers themselves.
“To celebrate your admission to Royal Duke. This is your gift.”
The man curled his lips, getting into the car and leaning one hand on the steering wheel as he turned to look at the back seat.
His baby blinked her dark eyes, watching him with unparalleled cold pride.
The Young Emperor felt intoxicated.
Perhaps it was the flowers’ intoxicating fragrance, or perhaps it was her overwhelming beauty that made him drunk with admiration.
He couldn’t quite tell which it was anymore.
“Do you know what these flowers are?”
The Young Emperor picked up a red rose and offered it to her.
The delicate blossoms weren’t as flamboyant and passionate as regular roses, but their slender, beautiful flowers still bloomed magnificently.
Ye Yunxi lowered her head to smell it: “Red roses.”
The Young Emperor focused his gaze: “Do you know what these flowers symbolize?”The maiden sitting amidst the blossoms froze momentarily, then lifted her gaze. Her dark eyes were filled with crimson roses, intoxicatingly enchanting.
The Young Emperor’s gaze remained fixed, unwavering, as if time stood still.
All the clamor of the world seemed to vanish in that instant, leaving only him, his beloved woman, and the sea of fiery red blooms.
