What exactly is a Lord? There isn’t a complete definition. Beyond the known characteristics, perhaps only the Emissary that released the “Red Tide” Virus truly understands the actual power of a Mutant Lord.

According to these records, Earth in the previous era also experienced a great catastrophe, with the Virus known as “Red Tide” as the culprit. It descended similarly through a Blood Rain, devastating that era’s civilization.

Although the unearthed mysterious object named “Kunlun” didn’t document how humans of the previous era perished, it’s not hard to speculate a close connection with the so-called Emissary and the legendary controller.

The “Kunlun” records dedicate significant space to describing the powerful Mutant individuals known as Lords, summarizing their strength with four characters: Physical Sanctification!

If Purifiers rely on energy to sustain their combat, then Lords, evolved through viral infection, are advanced lifeforms with physiques evolved to their limits. Of course, beyond Lords lies an ultimate form referred to in “Kunlun” as the Tyrant!

Medusa is no ordinary Lord; in a sense, she has touched the edge of becoming a Tyrant, and it’s only a matter of time before she evolves into one. This is largely thanks to the potency of her innate genes. If the Deification Factor in Purifiers can be considered the genes of gods, then the chromosomes in Medusa, activated and dominated by the Virus, are the seeds of demons.

Frankly, in terms of innate talent, An Sheng’s is exceptionally powerful, arguably even surpassing Medusa’s. After all, before Medusa evolved into a Lord, her intelligence and physical form were vastly different from what they are now. Whereas An Sheng possessed most Lord characteristics from the very beginning of his mutation.

Unfortunately, due to dietary constraints, An Sheng remains weak. This highlights another key trait of Mutants: they can consume other powerful organisms to complete their own gene sequences, continuously evolving their bodies until they become immensely powerful ultimate lifeforms.

Influenced by the Emissary, Purifiers inherently look down on Mutants. Alternatively, one could say that in the eyes of Purifiers, Mutants are merely tools or weapons used by the Emissary to purify Earth. As Purifiers, they consider themselves children of the Emissary—divine offspring with the noblest and purest bloodlines.

Of course, no matter how much Fang Yi despises Mutants, she must admit that Medusa’s current strength has reached a terrifying level, far beyond her ability to confront.Having devoured two all-round Purifiers and most of the Advanced Mutants within a two-hundred-kilometer radius, describing Medusa’s current state as Physical Sanctification would be no exaggeration. The same Death Ray was now countless times more powerful than when An Sheng first witnessed Medusa wield this skill. In an instant, dozens of colossal lightning bolts, each as thick as water vats, converged toward Medusa with apocalyptic force. The surrounding space grew distorted under the lightning’s influence. Even survivors hiding in the bunker could clearly feel the electric currents permeating the air, their body hair standing on end.

Medusa’s figure was instantly engulfed by Fang Yi’s ultimate move. The lightning striking the ground triggered massive explosions, with blast diameters astonishingly reaching nearly a hundred meters. The entire clearing before the Fortress Bunker became shrouded in dust from the explosions, while violent winds carrying debris sent An Sheng’s body flying over twenty meters away.

Xun Lili was naturally within the affected range too, but fortunately, Pighead Three’s massive corpse served as a shield, preventing the girl from sharing An Sheng’s fate of being blown away.

When the dust settled, the blast zone was left in complete disarray. The dozens of terrifying thunderstorms made the area appear as if it had been carpet-bombed by numerous high-yield missiles. Preliminary estimates suggested the ground had been excavated by at least several meters.

Had Medusa simply vanished? Though Fang Yi looked down on Mutants, she wasn’t arrogant. The World-Destroying Divine Thunder was powerful, but not enough to vaporize a Mutant Lord. So where had Medusa gone? Fang Yi had clearly seen her attack strike the monster directly!

“Looking for me?”

Medusa’s gentle, melodious voice suddenly rang out. Fang Yi turned in terror to discover the Lord-Level Mutant had appeared right behind her!Medusa didn’t immediately attack Fang Yi, but instead spoke to her with a playful expression: “Surprised? This is my Talent Ability, Displacement Space!”

If An Sheng had heard Medusa’s words at that moment, he would have been so shocked his eyeballs might have fallen out. Just how many abilities did this female monster possess? An Sheng alone knew of at least four. Banshee’s Wail, Death Ray, Crimson Shield, and oh yes, she could also breathe fire. And now another Talent Ability, Displacement Space, had emerged. She was truly monstrous!

Indeed, from a strength perspective, Medusa was completely monstrous. Before becoming a Lord, her form was that of a half-human, half-beast creature – human upper body with a snake lower body. In mid-air, as the golden light surrounding the female Purifier in a white dress dissipated, An Sheng was stunned to discover that this woman was actually Xiao Xiao!

Who was Xiao Xiao? As mentioned in the first Chapter when introducing An Sheng’s background, before his family’s company went bankrupt, he had been married, and his wife at the time was his childhood sweetheart. Later, when An Sheng’s family fell into decline, she chose to divorce him. That woman was now the Purifier appearing on Yushan.

After dodging the flash attack, Medusa did not launch another assault on the Purifiers but retreated to An Sheng’s side. However, this experienced woman quickly noticed that An Sheng’s gaze toward the newly arrived female Purifier was unusual.

Before her mutation, Medusa had been fifty-six years old. Though she had remained unmarried—a super leftover woman—it didn’t mean she lacked romantic experience. Without another word, Medusa flung two balls of bright white flame, aiming directly at Xiao Xiao in mid-air. Xiao Xiao and Fang Yi naturally hurried to evade the sudden attack.

An Sheng was so shocked he couldn’t close his mouth. Compared to encountering his ex-wife, three Advanced Purifiers were enough to make him forget all those sweet and sorrowful stories of the past.

Moreover, since the other three were all Advanced Purifiers, what was so surprising about the mysterious Purifier being of the same Rank? A single Advanced Purifier had nearly turned Yushan Fortress into ruins, and now three had appeared at once, plus another guy whose depth was unknown.

Could Medusa completely defeat them?

An Sheng didn’t know, because he was equally unfamiliar with Medusa’s strength. However, he himself was temporarily unable to do anything at the moment. Although he had absorbed the blood of that Baldy Purifier, digesting it still required some time, and moreover, his injuries hadn’t fully recovered yet.
