Chapter 76: Bloodline Summoning of the Demon Clan Sacred Land
Chapter 76: Bloodline Summoning of the Demon Clan Sacred Land
Before the blue light had fully dissipated, Shen Yan felt as if he had been stuffed into a washing machine and spun three hundred times. His head buzzed incessantly, and the Source Code Interface flickered chaotically in his Consciousness Sea, popping up one after another like virus-infected popup windows.
【Warning: Spatial coordinates not locked. Multiple Spiritual Power Interferences detected…】
【System overloaded. Immediate termination of Data Synchronization recommended.】
Gritting his teeth, he slashed his finger through the air as decisively as pressing the Enter Key—“Deactivate the Automatic Synchronization Protocol!”
The Code Flow stuttered and finally stabilized.
A faint, ragged breath reached his ears—it was Pei Yue. She was still pressed against his back, her palm warm, but her Spiritual Power was flickering intermittently, like a dying power bank.
“Hang in there, don’t fail me now,” Shen Yan muttered under his breath. Just as he was about to turn to support her, he suddenly felt a tightness around his waist.
Nine fluffy appendages wrapped around him.
The next moment, a figure clad in purplish-red stepped out from the distorted spatial Rift. Her cat ears twitched slightly, and a cold glint flashed in her vertical pupils as she pulled him directly into her embrace.
“Shut up. Don’t move.”
It was Luo Li.
Her voice was hushed but carried an undeniable force. “The thousand-year covenant has arrived. You cannot escape.”
Shen Yan nearly choked. “Wait, what kind of ‘date’ is this? No invitation, and you just grab me?”
Before he could finish, his palm suddenly seared with pain.
The Star-Shattering Token Imitation was forcibly pressed into his flesh by her, branding him like a hot iron. He gasped sharply from the agony.
【Detected unknown Protocol writing. Source: Demon Clan Bloodline Authentication System. Allow execution?】
Terminal popup windows flashed rapidly.
Pei Yue’s weak voice whispered by his ear, “Be careful… this might be a trap…”
Shen Yan narrowed his eyes, scanning the Code Structure—the encryption method was identical to that of the Jade Slip from the library, even the Hash values matched.
“Not a hack, but an Official Driver,” he concluded inwardly. With a light tap of his fingertip, he silently commanded, “Allow.”
Click.
The imitation instantly melted, transforming into a silver pattern that seeped into his palm. The ground beneath them abruptly lit up, countless Demon Script characters rising from the earth as a pillar of blue light shot into the sky. The entire space began to reconfigure.
“Western Wilderness Secret Realm Entrance activated. Dual Bloodline Authentication passed.” The System’s Notification Tone had just faded when three white-robed figures materialized out of thin air, blocking their path.
The leading elder, with hair and beard as white as snow, waved his sleeve, condensing Spiritual Energy into a translucent cage that lunged toward the two.
“How dare a Half-Demon awaken the Ultimate Treasure?” The old man’s voice was as cold as shards of ice. “Hand over the outsider immediately, or face charges of Clan Betrayal!”
Before Shen Yan could react, he saw Luo Li’s eyes shift, turning crimson as blood.
She let out a cold laugh, her Nine Tails trembling in unison as Demon Power erupted violently.
“Boom—”
The Barrier shattered in response, fragments scattering everywhere.
She yanked Shen Yan’s wrist, taking a step forward without looking back. “He is my chosen Co-Covenant Partner. Whoever stands in my way, dies.”
The air froze for an instant.
The three elders’ expressions changed drastically. Just as they were about to join forces to activate another Formation, Luo Li bit her fingertip and drew a sigil in the air.
A flash of bloody light appeared as the final Teleportation Talisman activated.
Heaven and earth spun, blue light surging once more.
Shen Yan felt the ground vanish beneath his feet as he was dragged downward, the wind howling past his ears. By the time his vision cleared again, he was standing in the center of a colossal sacred hall.
Above the high platform, the blue light had not yet dissipated. Ancient Demon Script characters floated in the air, like some kind of living Program slowly running.
He staggered two steps before steadying himself, his palm still burning. The Source Code Interface automatically refreshed with a new record:
【Demon Script Protocol Format v1.0 loaded. Compatibility good. Scannable database scanning in progress…】
“Are you alright?” Luo Li released his hand, a fine crack appearing on the Star-Shattering Token Imitation at the tip of her ear, her face slightly pale.
“Better than being woken up by a client at three in the morning,” Shen Yan rubbed his temple. “But next time, could you give me a heads-up? At least let me save my progress.”
Luo Li glared at him. “If you had dawdled in the library for ten more seconds, Bai Guizhen would have remotely hijacked you into a puppet by now.”
“So you came to save me?” He raised an eyebrow.
“I came to fulfill the Contract,” she said coldly, though her gaze unconsciously avoided his. “A thousand years ago, my clan made a Blood Oath with the Celestial Outcasts. If their descendants awakened the Source Code Spiritual Root, we must guide them into the Sacred Ground and open the Ultimate Treasure Seal.”
Shen Yan was taken aback. “So… I wasn’t kidnapped by you, but arranged by my ancestors?”
Luo Li didn’t answer, merely pointing toward the depths of the sacred hall.
There, a massive crystal floated, its entire body a deep blue, with streams of light flowing slowly inside, as if holding an entire starry sky.
【Scannable Demon Pattern Database detected. Load?】
The Terminal popped up another window.
Shen Yan stared at the text, not rushing to confirm. Instead, he turned to her. “Why did you insist on bringing me here? With that move you just pulled, you could have unlocked it yourself.”
Luo Li fell silent for a moment, her fingertip gently tracing the crack on her ear.
“Because only your Code can awaken it,” she whispered. “And if it fails… the entire Demon Clan Bloodline will Collapse.”
Shen Yan’s heart jolted.
He wanted to press further when he suddenly felt the silver pattern on his palm grow warm again. The Source Code Interface automatically displayed an Encrypted Log:
【Log Segment: A thousand years ago, on a rainy night. A woman knelt before the Altar, holding an Infant, pressing a Star-Shattering Token into the stone tablet, blood staining the Runes. She murmured, “If one day, the Bloodline reunites, please let my child… no longer be alone.”】
The words flashed and vanished.
Shen Yan’s breath caught.
He looked at Luo Li and found her gazing at the crystal, her expression complex, as if hiding countless unspoken words.
“You knew all along whose child I am?” he asked.
Luo Li didn’t deny it.
“Before my mother died, she said that when the one who could understand Demon Script arrived, I should give this to him.” She took out a tattered Jade Slip from her bosom, engraved with the same pattern as the one on his palm. “She said it was a Token left by her only younger brother.”
Shen Yan froze.
So it wasn’t just Ye Shi’er.
His Bloodline was also connected to another forgotten name.
“So you are…” His voice was a bit dry.
“Yes,” Luo Li nodded. “I am your biological younger sister.”
The air seemed to freeze for a moment.
Shen Yan opened his mouth, finally managing only, “No wonder you’re always so hands-on with me.”
Luo Li’s face flushed, and she kicked out. “Who’s hands-on with you! If your Code didn’t run so slowly, would I have had to come fetch you myself?”
He laughed and dodged, but in the moment he turned, he sensed a surge of killing intent from the shadows behind him.
The Source Code Interface instantly issued an alert:
【Hidden Program detected initiating. Target: Shen Yan. Permission Level: Elder Tier.】
Without changing his expression, he quietly pulled out his phone from his pocket and quickly typed a few lines of Code.
“The ultimate treasure you mentioned,” he deliberately raised his voice, “does it hide something extraordinary? Like… a cheat that can alter fate?”
Luo Li cooperatively furrowed her brows: “Don’t speak nonsense. That is a forbidden power sealed by our ancestors at the cost of their lives.”
“Oh? What if someone secretly applied a patch to it?” Shen Yan blinked.
As soon as the words fell, a burst of black mist erupted from a corner of the temple, and a figure shot out, spear aimed straight at his throat!
“Seeking death!” Luo Li roared, her nine tails sweeping across, demonic fire soaring into the air.
The figure was sent flying several zhang away, his mask shattering to reveal a familiar face—it was actually the Medicine Boy from Medicine Valley who had gone missing!
“It’s you?” Shen Yan’s pupils contracted. “Xie Wujiu’s remaining faction?”
Blood trickled from the Medicine Boy’s mouth, but he grinned: “No… I was… sent by Ye Shi’er… He said… brother, it’s time to come home.”
Shen Yan’s heart sank.
Ye Shi’er’s movements were faster than he had imagined.
He glanced down at his phone, where a new line of code was slowly appearing on the screen:
【External command injection, source unknown, content: Synchronization initiated.】
“Trying to synchronize me?” Shen Yan sneered, his fingers tapping rapidly. “Then let’s see who the main process really is.”
He pressed Enter.
The entire temple suddenly trembled.
The floating crystal abruptly lit up, blue light surging like a tide, enveloping everyone present.
The Source Code Interface popped up with a final notice:
【Demon Pattern Database loading complete. New function unlocked: Reverse Decompilation Divine Skill · Demon Clan Chapter.】
Shen Yan raised his head, his gaze piercing through the blue light, landing deep within the crystal.
There, it seemed a faint, blurry figure was slowly turning around.
