Chapter 111
Chapter 111
The Entity looked around. The crumbling white dungeon and the rising black letters created a bizarre atmosphere. It felt like watching a world disappear. But the Entity watched the scene without emotion, as if accustomed to it.
‘What?’
Then a voice was heard in the Entity’s head. It was Cho-i Hyeon’s.
‘Why am I awake?’
Whenever the Entity possessed Cho-i Hyeon’s body, Cho-i had never been awake. This was because Sanity Paralysis would break as soon as she woke up.
“Well, you made a deal with me.” ‘What deal?’ “Was it to raise and devour?” ‘Oh, was it?’ “That’s how this happened.”
So, when Cho-i Hyeon became able to use Sanity Paralysis while awake, conversely, the Entity could use her body even if Cho-i was awake.
‘I feel like I’ve dug my own grave.’ “Anyway, in this situation, it’s better if I’m here.” ‘What is your true identity?’ “You know well.”
The Entity was watching the scene where the white fragments shattered and then black letters gathered to form a dungeon again.
“The King of another world.” ‘There’s no such thing as a King in our world.’ “But there are candidates.” ‘Who?’ “Two of them.” ‘What, you don’t mean Taehyeok Sa and Zhixuan? They’re not Kings.’ “They’re weaker than those of our world. But they are definitely ‘King’ candidates.” ‘Does the King you’re talking about have a different meaning than what we call a King in our world?’ “Yes.” ‘What do we call that in our world?’
The Entity tilted its head for a moment, then slowly opened its mouth.
“God.”
“What?”
Cho-i Hyeon felt her thoughts stop for a moment. What did you say?
“They call it God in your world.”
The Entity’s eyes were glaring at something between the letters that made up the dungeon.
‘What are you looking at?’ “The Legacy that makes up the dungeon.” ‘Don’t make it so complicated.’ “In your language, it’s the ‘core’ that sustains the dungeon’s existence.” ‘A core?!’ “I’ll break it and get out.”
Cho-i Hyeon asked curiously.
‘Is there a reason why you have to break it to get out?’ “Because my body isn’t complete yet, it could become part of the world when it’s rebuilt.” ‘So my body could be absorbed into the dungeon. At least I know how to interpret what you’re saying.’
The Entity jumped into the dungeon, which was gradually taking shape. The phenomenon that Cho-i thought had stopped earlier began again. The phenomenon where her body became small particles and scattered. Cho-i thought she didn’t know what to call it.
‘But where is the core?’ “You can’t see it.” ‘You mean only a King can see it?’ “Yes.”
The Entity reached out its hand somewhere. The world, which had not yet been fully reconstructed, shimmered, appearing and disappearing like a mirage. Landscapes blurred like oil paintings as scenes mixed, then brightened like watercolors. In this way, the Entity reached out its hand towards the core it called Legacy. The thing at the center of those landscapes. It put into its hand something that those who had not yet reached a certain rank could not see. Crunch- The Entity was easily held in its hand. And in her hand, very easily. Clang-! It shattered. It was so fragile. And the dungeon began to collapse. The white background and landscapes scattered and crumbled as if there had been an earthquake.
‘W-what’s happening?’ “It’ll just disappear like this.” ‘What about us?’ “It’s okay now.”
Crack, crack- A sound of something cracking was heard from somewhere. The Entity raised its head. There was a black crack in the white ceiling above, and a blue light glimmered through it. Cho-i Hyeon realized that what she was seeing with her own eyes was the final scene of a dungeon. The Entity was shedding tears.
“I’m sorry.” ‘For what?’ “For destroying one of the worlds they left behind.” ‘You can feel sorry too?’ “Because I know better than anyone.”
What feelings they had when they left this world. What meaning they contained. But the Entity did not voice its feelings. Cho-i tried to guess the Entity’s true feelings, but felt nothing. Perhaps it was because she was not a member of the ruined world.
“It’s breaking.”
With those last words, the Entity disappeared beyond consciousness again. Cho-i Hyeon felt her spirit return to her body. The Entity was a strange sensation.
“Cho-i Hyeon hunter!”
When Jihan Kim’s voice was heard, Cho-i looked back. Beyond the crumbling dungeon, the outside world was visible. That is. Cho-i Hyeon’s world. The Entity’s.
“It’s a strange feeling.”
The dungeon someone had created shattered, leaving not a speck of dust in its place. Where everything had been blown away by the wind, only bare earth remained. Jihan Kim and his party rushed over and checked Cho-i’s body first.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
“Luckily, I’m not hurt… but I did destroy a dungeon.”
Then Jihan Kim grabbed her shoulder tightly.
“How did you do that!?”
“I broke the core.”
“The core? There’s a core in a dungeon?”
Cho-i Hyeon began to carefully recall what she had heard from the Entity.
“A dungeon has a Legacy, no. Every dungeon has a core, and it seems to be revealed every time the dungeon resets. I think the dungeon broke because I broke it.”
Cho-i Hyeon said it very simply, but for Jihan Kim, it was not simple at all. It was no different from finding a way to completely destroy a dungeon. She tightly grasped her hand with trembling hands.
“What does that core look like?”
“I don’t know either.”
“Huh?”
Cho-i Hyeon shook her head.
“I didn’t see what it looked like. They even said it’s not visible to human eyes.”
“Not visible to human eyes? Who said that?”
“Um…”
Cho-i Hyeon briefly pointed to the sky.
“A god?”
“…A god?”
Jihan Kim looked at her with a face that said, ‘What kind of nonsense is this?’, but Cho-i Hyeon had nothing more to explain. The King is soon a god. The world is soon the King. She didn’t know how much the Entity knew, but this was the limit of what she could interpret.
“I think it’s best to go back for now.”
Cho-i Hyeon turned her head. Ren of the Kanata Guild, who had suddenly lost a dungeon, was staring blankly into space with his mouth wide open. Ahaha, it seems this matter won’t be easily overlooked, will it?
“Do you have money to compensate for a dungeon?”
“Do you really think I wouldn’t have that?”
Jihan Kim looked at her with an incredulous expression and continued.
“We’ll have to talk about the details later. But do you know how flustered I was when only Yuri came out at the end?”
“Ah, she’s a bit slow, you know. If I hadn’t thrown her out, she would have died in the dungeon!”
“Anyway, nothing goes smoothly here. But I’m glad you weren’t hurt. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what to do against Paehyeok.”
“Compensation for damages?”
“Right?”
“Wow, to become a Guild Master, you have to think about things like that even in such a situation.”
“Of course.”
Jihan Kim let go of her hand and looked back at Yuri Ja. Yuri Ja was looking at Cho-i Hyeon with a face that had a lot to say. Cho-i Hyeon instantly made a disgusted face and waved her hand.
“Don’t thank me!”
“I wasn’t going to!”
“Good. You rude brat!”
“That’s it!”
“Ahaha!”
Cho-i burst out laughing. Yuri Ja, embarrassed, messed up her hair. Jihan Kim watched them and laughed helplessly, and Seoyeon Ha was caught in the middle, not knowing what to do. For now, the four of them took Ren and returned to the Kanata Guild. They had to report the fact that they had destroyed a dungeon. And also, to keep them quiet.

“So you completely cleared a dungeon in Japan?”
“Yeah!”
“And Kim Jihan of Geumsin paid the price?”
“That’s right!”
Sa Taehyeok was looking at Hyeon Cho-i with a face that asked, “What should I do about this?” Hyeon Cho-i hadn’t forgiven Sa Taehyeok yet, but she had come to the Guild Master’s Office, thinking that she had to report it anyway.
“No, what did you do to our dungeon?”
“I’m telling you, it just disappeared! Why would you manage your dungeon so poorly?”
Thanks to Hyeon Cho-i’s brilliant work, only the literal value of the dungeon was paid. All the value of the byproducts, items, and other things that would have come out of that dungeon in the future were excluded. It was a dungeon that was cleared once every six months anyway, so it was better for that guild to not have it than to have it. Kim Jihan clapped his hands as he watched Hyeon Cho-i at work. “Well done, well done, well done. He’s not my child, but how can he work so well?” Sa Taehyeok thought he should contact Kim Jihan first and then spoke to Hyeon Cho-i.
“…So it’s certain that there’s a core in every dungeon?”
“Well, ‘it’ said so, so it must be true, right? I also got out safely.”
“Then that’s a relief. But it bothers me a bit that not just anyone can see the core. Doesn’t that mean no one can see it yet except for the Entity?”
“Hmm.”
Hyeon Cho-i thought for a moment, then pointed at Sa Taehyeok.
“You.”
“Me?”
“And Zhixuan.”
“You mean the SS-Rank.”
“It’s still not enough, but if you guys try a little harder, you might be able to see it?”
“How much is ‘a little’ exactly?”
“I don’t know.”
Hyeon Cho-i tilted her head and replied.
“Enough to become a god?”
“…What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I don’t know either. That’s what they say.”
“First, you’ve made acquaintance with Kim Jihan and cleared a dungeon in Japan? You made an appointment for this Saturday, and you’re really running around a lot.”
“Why, what does that have to do with you?”
“What exactly are you thinking, running around like this?”
“Why do you think I went to that dungeon?”
Sa Taehyeok easily came up with the answer.
“Nine Lives of Myoyeong.”
“Yes, but I need something even more than the Entity.”
“Are you planning to get the hidden item from that dungeon?”
Hyeon Cho-i smiled broadly at him.
“And it’s for you.”
“That’s romantic.”
“Once or nine times, it’s fine.”
Cho-i spread her arms wide.
“I’m going to kill you.”
So look forward to it. Just wait a little.
