Chapter 139
Chapter 139
Cho-i Hyeon shook her head back and forth and continued.
“Even if I’m crazy, I’m not bad, you know?”
“Yes.”
“Let’s say so.”
“This is really pissing me off.”
Just as Cho-i Hyeon was thinking of flipping things over, Taehyeok Sa and Suui Kim, noticing her intentions, immediately started to steer the conversation in a different direction.
“So when do we have to go?”
“Today at 1 PM.”
“What? That’s urgent.”
“It’s just teaching some kids and doing one A-Rank dungeon run, what’s so hard about that?”
“That’s true. Hmm, alright.”
Cho-i Hyeon’s attention immediately darted elsewhere, and the two inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. Cho-i Hyeon scurried to the elevator and beckoned to Suui Kim.
“Hey! Let’s eat before we go.”
“Is she possessed by a ghost who died of starvation…?”
“You just need to get there by one o’clock.”
“Understood.”
“Then, see you later.”
Suui Kim and Cho-i Hyeon came down from the top floor, had a quick breakfast, and then headed to Chonghyeon Private Academy. Chonghyeon was the largest academy in South Korea. This private academy, built two years after the establishment of Daehyeon National Academy, was sponsored by numerous guilds and corporations. And now, Cho-i Hyeon and Suui Kim were the ones called there.
“So, are we the only ones going?”
Cho-i Hyeon said, looking up at the academy building. Chonghyeon had a neatly labeled entrance and consisted of a total of fourteen buildings. Suui Kim, who was also looking up at Chonghyeon, shook her head.
“No, other guilds will come too.”
“Who’s coming?”
“Well…”
Screech-! Just then, a black car stopped behind them with the sound of brakes. When Cho-i Hyeon turned around, she saw a very familiar face getting out of the car.
“Long time no see, sweetheart.”
“Who’s your sweetheart?”
It was Gihyeon Park. It seemed that Guild Master Gihyeon Park from Guild Hwayeon was going to do it. However, since the Guild Master of Paehyeok didn’t step forward, she wondered if Gihyeon Park really needed to come herself. When Cho-i made a puzzled expression, Gihyeon Park smiled.
“Your face always shows everything.”
“Because there’s no need to hide it.”
“That’s one of the reasons I like you.”
“Since when? Since when?”
“Reasons are something you create one by one.”
While Cho-i Hyeon and Gihyeon Park were talking, there was a loud roar from somewhere. It was the sound of a car driving like crazy. When they turned their heads, a white car was sliding in from afar. And then, a jarring screech was heard again.
“Oh my, it seems they’ve arrived too?”
“Jihan Kim?”
“Hahaha, anyway, everyone thinks the same way, don’t they?”
Jihan Kim got out of her car and approached Cho-i Hyeon. She lightly massaged her shoulder and said,
“How have you been? Didn’t you miss me?”
“What kind of nonsense is this again?”
“The nonsense is right in front of me now.”
The two of them exchanged insults with smiling faces. Cho-i Hyeon shrugged her shoulders and then clung to Suui Kim. As Cho-i clung to Suui Kim, Gihyeon Park’s and Jihan Kim’s gazes naturally turned to Suui Kim.
“Who are you?”
“I am Suui Kim.”
“You must be a hunter from Paehyeok, then?”
Jihan Kim, seeing Cho-i Hyeon still clinging to Suui Kim, frowned one eyebrow and asked,
“What’s your relationship?”
“She’s my comfort doll2.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“A comfort doll, really?”
When Gihyeon Park asked again with an annoyed tone, Suui Kim held her head.
“I feel like I said the same line recently, so I hope you don’t get jealous over something like that.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
To Jihan Kim’s question, Cho-i Hyeon replied very simply.
“Taeyang Kang said he likes me.”
“Taeyang Kang? Taeyang Kang?”
“Ugh, annoying things are just increasing everywhere.”
“Hahaha.”
Cho-i Hyeon clapped her hands, as if it didn’t matter. As she clapped, everyone’s attention fell on Cho-i Hyeon. Cho-i Hyeon spoke without any hint of embarrassment, even with the focus on her.
“Since we’ve come all the way to Chonghyeon, shouldn’t we go in quickly? We’re here to work, after all.”
For something Cho-i Hyeon said, it was a surprisingly sensible remark for once. Everyone nodded in surprise.
“You’ve grown so much.” “I know, right.” “You guys are really annoying.”
Cho-i Hyeon chuckled and was the first to step into Chonghyeon. And as soon as she stepped in, she shivered slightly at the gazes she felt. Hmm, this feeling of being noticed. Chonghyeon’s students were standing on the playground, benches, and by the windows, looking this way. It would be right to say almost all of them.
“It’s tiring being popular.”
Gihyeon Park glanced at Cho-i and said. This was because while everyone’s attention was indeed on them, most people were looking at Cho-i Hyeon. Most S-Ranks had excellent appearances, but among them, Cho-i Hyeon was exceptional. Cho-i blinked and looked around.
“Well, it’s destiny.” “You must be used to it by now.” “Actually, gazes follow you wherever you go, don’t they?”
They passed through the school gate and walked to about the middle of the playground. The time was twelve forty. Since no one had come out to greet them, Cho-i asked Jihan Kim and Gihyeon Park, who seemed to have been here many times.
“Don’t they usually come out to greet people?” “No, they usually do, but it seems we arrived a bit early, perhaps?”
While Gihyeon Park was answering, someone was seen rushing out of a building. He looked this way and then started running over breathlessly. The man was wearing light-looking tracksuits, which brought to mind a typical PE teacher.
“Huff, huff. Welcome. I apologize for being late.”
Jihan Kim replied with a kind smile.
“We arrived a little early.” “To make excuses, we also had a meeting….” “A meeting? What kind of meeting?”
He first caught his breath, straightened his back, and then gestured towards the building as if to guide them. The group began to walk towards the building he was pointing to.
“It was just decided which person would be assigned to which class. This time, so many famous people decided to visit us.”
It made sense, as two Guild Masters had come, along with Cho-i Hyeon, who was currently at the peak of her popularity. Although there were no assistant instructors, given Cho-i Hyeon’s personality, she couldn’t be left alone, so an A+ Rank Suui Kim was brought along. From the school’s perspective, two hunters from the Paehyeok Guild had come. Thus, the assignment was bound to be delayed.
“It’s a relief that it’s decided now.”
At Jihan Kim’s words, Cho-i Hyeon also nodded. She detested things that dragged on. Gihyeon Park subtly put his arm around Cho-i Hyeon’s shoulder, only to have his hand pinched by Jihan Kim.
“Ow!” “Where do you think you’re going?” “What does it matter to you?” “It does matter. I’m also actively making advances.” “What? Do I have to be wary of both women and men now?”
Then the person who looked like a PE teacher spoke.
“I’m glad the atmosphere seems good.”
“Oh, right. It used to be pretty intense when people from each guild gathered, didn’t it?”
Cho-i suddenly thought of something and asked Suui Kim.
“Who came from Paehyeok last year?”
“I believe it was Hunter Yeonhan Kim.”
“Oh, if it was her, she must have taught them well.”
Cho-i Hyeon didn’t really have any particular thoughts. She just figured she should watch the kids like a kindergarten teacher. While she was thinking nothing, Suui Kim was racking her brain to the point of bursting.
‘To keep Cho-i Hyeon from causing trouble, I need to make the kids interested in the class, and to keep the kids from getting hurt, I need to keep Cho-i Hyeon from running wild, and to finish the class safely, I need to… Cho-i Hyeon….’
It was with thoughts like these. While Suui Kim was deep in thought, a teacher who looked nothing but a physical education teacher introduced himself.
“My name is Yeonggi Cha. I am in charge of Defense Practice.”
“Defense Practice means a tank?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
Yeonggi Cha scratched his head as if embarrassed. It seemed he was embarrassed to say ‘tank’ in front of Cho-i Hyeon. Of course, Cho-i Hyeon wasn’t thinking anything at all. She just giggled, ‘Oh, I see,’ and headed to the faculty office.
“This way, please.”
As they entered the building, it was lunchtime, and children were walking around. And all eyes were fixed on Cho-i Hyeon.
“Holy cow, she’s even more amazing in person.”
“What’s the level of this practical training?”
“Are we going to be worked to death?”
Amidst such conversations, a girl shouted loudly towards Cho-i.
“Sister Cho-i! You’re so awesome in person, really!”
“Oh~ thank you!”
“Kyaaak!”
As Cho-i Hyeon made a finger heart, screams erupted from all over. Cho-i Hyeon chuckled and began to walk gracefully. She didn’t seem to be in a bad mood. Suui Kim sighed with a relieved expression, and Gihyeon Park, finding the sight cute, reached out to Cho-i Hyeon’s head, but then…
“No flirting.”
Jihan Kim blocked him again. Gihyeon Park frowned, looking annoyed. Jihan Kim made a ‘humph’ sound and turned his head, but Gihyeon Park, apparently needing to vent his frustration, sneered at Jihan Kim.
“Aren’t you too interested in me?”
“I’m not interested in you, I’m interested in Hunter Cho-i Hyeon, okay?”
“Why are you always picking fights with me?”
“Because you’re flirting without considering the place.”
“Am I the only one flirting right now? You’re doing the same thing.”
“Isn’t it natural to keep an eye on your rival?”
The two’s argument escalated, and a dark aura slowly began to seep out. Cho-i Hyeon clapped her hands and laughed as if amused.
“I’m just standing here, what are you two doing?”
“Stop them, please….”
“Why? What better teaching material is there than a fight between S-Ranks?”
