Chapter 160
Chapter 160
When Zhixuan feigned ignorance, Cho-i Hyeon narrowed her eyes and looked at him. She was, in fact,
‘I can see everything inside the fog?’
She had been watching everything that happened inside the fog. She thought this might also be due to her eyes merging with ‘the Entity’.
“Alright~, since you lost, you guys deal with the boss monster!”
Cho-i Hyeon said in an excited voice. But Dongju Kim, standing next to her, poked her in the side.
“They don’t seem to be in any condition for that.”
Come to think of it, they were all injured. Fortunately, there was a healer on their side, but unless the healer was S-Rank, it would be quite difficult to heal all five of them at once.
“We’ll have to deal with it, won’t we?”
“Ah, how annoying.”
Cho-i Hyeon replied, picking her ear. Dongju Kim, seemingly having grown fond of them, patted her and said,
“If those guys die, it’ll mess up the EX-Rank strategy.”
There was no affection. Cho-i Hyeon nodded at his words. Indeed. Just because they had been miserably defeated by them now didn’t mean those guys were trash. Paehyeok was simply too strong. It meant he wasn’t the world’s #1 for nothing.
“They’re also UK’s #1 in their own right.”
“If Taeyang Kang hadn’t been there, an SS-Rank would have been quite annoying too.”
“Is that so?”
Cho-i Hyeon pondered what would have happened if she had faced an SS-Rank. As expected, she felt it would have just been a bit annoying, but not a problem. After Kaden fainted, the fog gradually lifted, and now they could see clearly. Soon, a large Tower appeared before their eyes.
“Are we supposed to climb that and defeat the boss monster?”
“I told them to clean up, but it seems they only cleaned the outside of the Tower.”
“What? They didn’t clean properly, they just did dungeon decoration.”
“That damn dungeon decoration…”
Dongju Kim looked at Cho-i Hyeon with a strange expression. Cho-i Hyeon smiled brightly and raised a hand.
“First, let’s quickly finish this and go into the other dungeons. Taehyeok Sa used his head to send us here, so we should check out the other dungeons too.”
“Is that so?”
Cho-i Hyeon nodded in response. Paehyeok’s Group glanced at Violent once, then turned their heads and began heading towards the Tower. They figured they would follow. The Tower had 5 floors, and the party headed straight for the 1st floor. Upon entering the 1st floor, they found it lined with Twenty-eight Eyed Monsters. Gireuk, Kkereuk. The Entities attacked them, making strange noises. Each of them scattered and began to confront the monsters. Cho-i Hyeon immediately cast Shout. -!! As Cho-i screamed, all the monsters’ eyeballs turned towards her. She took out her weapon and shield and headed for the center. As she entered the center, the monsters gathered around her in a circle, allowing the dealers to fight the Entities from behind.
“Cho-i Hyeon, be careful!”
Taeyang Kang shouted. Then, a hand shot up from among the monsters, gave a thumbs-up, and then disappeared. Taeyang Kang created an Ice icicle and pierced through the monsters’ bodies. Kkirreuk- Kehek! The Entities, unable to breathe, immediately fell to the ground, letting out strange screams. Starting with Taeyang Kang, Yeonhan Kim and Dongju Kim climbed onto the Entities and swung their swords down. Thud- Splat! The monsters’ eyeballs burst, spewing blood. Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim didn’t stop there and immediately split their bodies in half. Splat, blood burst instantly, and the severed halves fell to the ground. Cho-i Hyeon endured in the center, slashing at monsters or blocking them with her shield. It was obvious that even if she didn’t exert much strength, the party who came with her today was so excellent that it would be cleaned up quickly. Then, something suddenly came to mind, and Cho-i Hyeon shouted loudly.
“Zhixuan, stop playing around!”
“Oh, come on…”
Caught red-handed, Zhixuan immediately summoned Shadows. The Shadows shot up from the ground, ascending and butchering the monsters. After about ten minutes, all dozens of monsters were cleared.
“Wow, this is good, isn’t it?”
Cho-i Hyeon walked out from the center, covered in blood. The scattered monster corpses around them clearly indicated their violent nature. There wasn’t a single corpse with intact limbs. All were either fragmented or cut in half.
“We need to clear this much so they can follow us properly when they catch up.”
“Tsk.”
Taeyang Kang clicked his tongue and looked back. The Violent Guild members were still out of sight, apparently not having recovered yet.
“No monsters left, right? Let’s go up!”
At Cho-i Hyeon’s words, they nodded and immediately headed to the 2nd floor. On the 2nd floor, the party encountered monsters again and similarly massacred them, passing through the 3rd and 4th floors without difficulty. Since they were all A+ Rank, it wasn’t hard for anyone in the current party. And so, they reached the 5th floor.
“Does anyone know about the boss monster?”
Then Yeonhan Kim spoke.
“A dragon with thirty-eight eyes.”
“Wow, a dragon. A dragon.”
As they ascended the stairs from the 4th to the 5th floor, they saw the boss monster. Thirty-eight eyes. And because it was the Bell Tower, they could see the sky and a bell. And a body that filled an entire floor.
“Everyone, spread out into formation!”
Yeonhan Kim shouted, and…
“We had a formation?”
Dongju Kim asked, dumbfounded. Still, everyone was a skilled Hunter in their own way, so they roughly formed a formation according to their numbers. The thought, ‘This is why companies only hire experienced people,’ suddenly crossed his mind. -!! When Cho-i Hyeon let out a Shout, the thirty-eight eyes turned towards Cho-i Hyeon. Its large wings spread wide, and the dragon, soaring into the sky, spewed Flames towards Cho-i Hyeon. Kwoooosh-! Cho-i Hyeon immediately stepped forward, raising his shield. And blocking the Flames with his shield, he shouted,
“Who can get up there?!”
“I can’t get up there, but…”
Taeyang Kang instantly created a blizzard and sent it flying into the sky. Each snowflake, sharp as a blade, butchered the dragon, and the monster descended to the ground to avoid the blizzard. As the monster landed, Yeonhan Kim and Dongju Kim immediately leaped onto its back and neck. Crack! Crunch! And they plunged their swords into the small scratches made by the blizzard. Crunch, crunch! The sword blades dug into the gaps, creating deep wounds. The monster let out a loud scream that was deafening.
“Finish it off!”
Cho-i Hyeon shouted.
“Okay!”
Dongju Kim swung the sword she had stabbed in. Slash! Blood burst from the monster’s body as it fell to the ground. The monster struggled and breathed fire towards Zhixuan again. Cho-i Hyeon ran over, panting, and blocked the Entity with her shield. Zhixuan stepped back and shot a Shadow towards the monster’s neck. Crash! Thud! The monster’s neck was severed, and its large body fell to the ground with a loud bang. And behind it, an exit opened. Cho-i Hyeon put away her shield and weapon and said,
“I feel like we’ve been in here for a really long time.”
“Let’s get out first.”
And just then, the Violent Guild members were seen coming up the stairs. Cho-i Hyeon snorted at them and immediately went outside. Fresh air… no, the acrid air of Seoul was felt. Cho-i stretched out.
“Ha, I want to go home and lie down like this.”
“How about we go home and rest today, and clear the other two dungeons starting tomorrow?”
“Ah, I agree. I’m especially tired today.”
“And if we’re going into a hidden dungeon, we’ll need backup from other people anyway.”
“Why?”
“Well, we can’t take the Violent Team in again, can we?”
“Ah, that’s true.”
While Cho-i Hyeon was agreeing, the Violent Guild members followed them out. They talked amongst themselves for a bit, and then the Guild Master, who seemed to have just regained his senses, stepped forward. Yeonhan Kim stepped forward and stopped him.
“What’s the matter?”
“…I hate to admit it, but I acknowledge that you are currently the strongest.”
“What are they saying? We were always the strongest, weren’t we?”
“Cho-i Hyeon, shush for now.”
Dongju Kim put her index finger to Cho-i’s lips. She pouted and shut her mouth.
“But the Entity is a present matter, and in the future…!”
“Ah, that was a story we didn’t need to hear. Let’s go. Let’s go.”
Yeonhan Kim ignored them with a cold face, and the other Paehyeok Hunters also made a “what’s going on?” face and headed to the car they had come in. Oscar shouted from behind them.
“After this raid is over, we’ll show you that we’re superior to you!”
“Sure, sure.”
Cho-i Hyeon raised her middle finger at them. Taeyang Kang grabbed her waist and dragged her away, and the other teammates sighed and got into the car.
“They didn’t get hit by us and lose their minds, did they?”
“They’ve always had that kind of mindset.”
Dongju Kim gave a clear answer. Cho-i Hyeon confirmed that everyone was in the car, then slammed the car door shut! Cho-i dusted her hands and asked,
“I’m going to take Nara Shim with me starting from the next raid.”
“Did you get Nara Shim hunter’s consent?”
“No.”
Yeonhan Kim smiled broadly.
“I trust you’ll persuade her well on your own.”
“If you tell her a hidden item will appear, she’ll come running, panting.”
“Is that so?”
“Of course.”
So, they all returned to Paehyeok. And the next day, they gathered in front of the dungeon again to open the hidden dungeon. Dongju Kim, Yeonhan Kim, Cho-i Hyeon, Zhixuan, and Nara Shim, the five of them, easily cleared two dungeons, and before defeating the boss monster of the last dungeon, they scattered to find the hidden dungeon. And…
“Found it!”
Nara Shim came running, panting, and shouted. What Nara Shim found was a giant Red Door, a door that looked rusty and had countless eyeballs carved into it.
“Oh, you kept talking about a hidden item, hidden item, and you finally found it?”
