Chapter 53
Chapter 53
Both their faces were beaming. Especially Yeonhan Kim, who was grinning from ear to ear, making it impossible for any kind words to escape. Yeonhan, smiling brightly, said, regardless of his superior’s sarcasm,
“I’m beyond thrilled. An A-Rank tank would have been a blessing, but an S-Rank tank came? I should serve them. I should carry them around.”
“Same here.”
Usually, Yeonhan was the one delivering the verbal jabs, but here, Dongju Kim, who kept adding comments from the side, was more annoying. Taehyeok Sa rubbed his temples and said,
“Yes, that video we saw back then was certainly special.”
“We captured something precious.”
“People probably wouldn’t mind if we replayed it ten times.”
Taehyeok Sa recalled the video he had seen. At that time, the video was being screened precisely in the dungeon management team’s office, and he was there to watch it. So were Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim. And…
“That’s amazing.”
Now, Myeongok Shin, who had arrived in Korea, also said,
“But that kind of tanking method wears people down. And it doesn’t seem like the leader is unaware of it.”
“That kid is just uncontrollable.”
Taehyeok Sa responded to Myeongok Shin’s observation. Myeongok Shin nodded with a smile. Young people are generally a bit uncontrollable, aren’t they? Saying that, she looked at Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim. The two subtly avoided her gaze.
“Well, they’re not at your level.”
Taehyeok Sa said. If I can’t control them, that says it all. At that, Myeongok Shin laughed, asking if it was that bad.
“Still, they must know how to respect their superiors, right?”
“…Well.”
Taehyeok Sa drew out his words, genuinely unsure.
“I’d like to see their face sometime.”
With those words, Myeongok Shin left. And Taehyeok Sa wanted to see Cho-i Hyeon right now. Not in a romantic sense of wanting to see someone, but in the sense of wanting to see them because he had many questions.
“Call Cho-i Hyeon.”
When he said that, Yeonhan Kim replied,
“Hey, why are you calling someone who just finished a dungeon yesterday, telling them to come and go? We should be going to serve them, not the other way around.”
Her face was constantly beaming. Taehyeok Sa looked at her face and briefly held his head.
“You’re really excited, aren’t you? Not even trying to hide it.”
“Why should I hide it?”
Dongju Kim would always open his mouth to say something and then get himself into trouble. But since he was the Guild Master and had to set an example, he barely held back his hand and forced a smile. It wasn’t just a day or two that they were disobedient, and if he exploded here, the Guild Master’s reputation would be ruined.
“Then go pick her up yourselves.”
Their answers were very loud. How nice would it be if they listened so well all the time? Taehyeok Sa felt a strange bitterness and just laughed louder. Hadn’t his image changed a bit? It seemed that only Cho-i Hyeon benefited from media play. When she spread strange rumors, he tried to counter them, but she really made him out to be a publicly dumped man. It was often said that anonymous posts would sometimes appear, expressing concern for Guild Master Paehyeok’s heartbreak. Taehyeok Sa somehow felt a surge of heat and snapped out of his reminiscence. Just then, Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim were looking at their watches.
“We’ll go pick up our precious S-Rank tank.”
Taehyeok Sa said sarcastically with a smile, and the two quickly got into the elevator and disappeared, not caring about the sarcasm. Now, the only one he could trust was Myeongok Shin, and it was probably not a needless worry to wonder if even he could overcome Cho-i Hyeon. Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim immediately got into their car and headed to Cho-i Hyeon’s house. The shiny red sports car belonged to Yeonhan Kim, and no one else.
“Let’s close the top, for conscience’s sake.”
Yeonhan Kim obediently closed the top of the sports car. When they arrived in front of Cho-i Hyeon’s house, as Dongju Kim had said, reporters were swarming. Ugh, these cockroach-like people. Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim considered running them over, but then they spotted Nara Shim and Cho-i Hyeon coming out of the common entrance.
“Ah! They’re coming out! Move aside!”
“Are you Hunter Cho-i Hyeon’s manager?”
“Who’s a manager! Who!”
Nara Shim was struggling. Cho-i, thinking something behind Nara Shim, soon embraced Nara Shim’s waist and lifted her up.
“What’s going on?”
Then she leaped up and stood directly in front of the new red sports car. She seemed to have seen the faces of Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim, who were in the car, and first shoved Nara Shim into the car before saying,
“Let’s bolt.”
As soon as Cho-i spoke, Yeonhan immediately took her word. The sports car lightly made a U-turn to avoid the swarming reporters and headed straight for Paehyeok.
“What? Why is the top closed? Open it for me!”
“Didn’t I tell you?”
Yeonhan Kim chuckled and opened the top of the sports car again. The wind rushed in. It was truly a warm spring breeze now. As her hair flew, Cho-i Hyeon smiled brightly and looked around.
“Wow, another article is going to come out. ‘Cho-i Hyeon’s Red Sports Car, Everyday Life is a Photoshoot.'”
Nara Shim said sarcastically. Cho-i Hyeon widened her eyes and looked at her.
“Hey, you write articles well. You should be a reporter as a side job.”
“What are you talking about!”
Nara Shim gently hit Cho-i Hyeon’s shoulder… Thump. She blocked it. She didn’t let herself be hit. Cho-i Hyeon smiled brightly at Nara Shim, and Nara Shim quietly lowered her hand. Anyway, she never gives in. Nara Shim grumbled.
“More importantly, why did the Guild Master suddenly call?”
“I saw a video of you guys entering the hidden dungeon. He’s probably going to ask about that.”
“Oh, I thought that wouldn’t happen. Ganansu, that diligent bastard.”
“How could he not have done something so important?”
“And the Entity, too.”
“Especially you, you looked really good.”
Dongju Kim said. Cho-i Hyeon made a V-sign with her fingers. Then she asked Nara Shim,
“But why are you out here? Are you really going to be my manager?”
“Are you kidding me? I have a dungeon schedule, you idiot!”
“Oh, right. You’re a hunter too.”
Nara Shim clutched the back of her neck at Cho-i’s words. It was true that only Cho-i had been busy with schedules; Nara Shim had been mostly idling lately. Perhaps it was because there were no urgent B-Rank dungeons.
“Now that I think about it, Nara, you should also apply for a rank correction, shouldn’t you?”
Cho-i replied.
“No, not yet.”
“Why are you answering for her?”
“Because I’m going to raise her more. So I’m going to tell her to apply for a rank correction after I’ve finished raising her.”
“Oh, right. You said you’d help me grow more, didn’t you?”
Nara Shim’s half-dead face instantly brightened. Cho-i grinned and patted her on the shoulder. It hurt.
“Ow! You’re an S-Rank now!”
“Oh, right. I keep forgetting.”
While they were bickering, the Red Sports Car had already entered the Paehyeok Parking Lot. Cho-i jumped out of the car without even opening the door. Dongju Kim and Yeonhan Kim did the same. Only Nara Shim slowly and awkwardly climbed out of the door.
“Hey, open the door for me!”
“Oops, my bad.”
Yeonhan Kim laughed. “I keep jumping out, so I forgot.”
“That’s why you sometimes break the door to get in.”
“Quiet, little sister.”
So Nara Shim headed to the practice room to find her party members, and the three headed to the top floor where the Guild Master would be. Inside the elevator, Dongju Kim said,
“Oh, our healer Korea has joined us.”
“Really?”
“You’ll be running into her a lot from now on.”
“Why?”
Dongju Kim smiled at Cho-i.
“Because you’re an S-Rank tank, you’ll have to go with S-Ranks now.”
“What if I say I’m not an S-Rank yet?”
“Lie about something believable. Do you think that excuse will work after you single-handedly cut an A-Rank in half?”
“That’s right, Cho-i. Even Nara seems to know.”
“Ugh.”
Ganansu, that’s not helpful. Cho-i clicked her tongue and got off on the top floor. As she got off on the top floor, she saw Taehyeok Sa waiting at the guest table. Cho-i smiled brightly at him and raised her middle finger. Dongju Kim folded it down next to her.
“We’re here.”
“…Your greeting is quite cheerful for just arriving.”
“What do you want, don’t talk to me.”
“You talked to me just fine last time.”
“There’s no beef now.”
“…Buy me some after this.”
“Yes.”
At that, Cho-i nodded and asked,
“So what did you want to ask?”
“Why don’t you sit down first?”
The three sat down in their respective seats. Yeonhan Kim sat in front of Taehyeok Sa, Dongju Kim sat next to Yeonhan Kim. And Cho-i Hyeon sat on Yeonhan Kim’s lap.
“…” “…” “…” “Why, what?”
As Dongju Kim quietly moved to sit next to Taehyeok Sa, Cho-i quickly sat in the spot Dongju Kim had just vacated.
“First, let’s talk about the hidden dungeon.”
“Uh, go ahead.”
“…Mr. Cho-i. You should do it, Mr. Cho-i.”
“Found the hidden dungeon. Defeated it. The end.”
“…A little more detail.”
“My party members followed me. The world was split in half. So there are two items?”
Cho-i said, holding up two fingers.
“…Yes.”
Taehyeok Sa said as if giving up. He ignored Cho-i and asked Yeonhan Kim and Dongju Kim,
“What are the chances of one person finding a hidden dungeon twice?”
“Well, there’s never been anyone like that before, so it’s almost 0%.”
“Oh, they must have been unlucky.”
“You stay quiet.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Mr. Cho-i, could you please be quiet for a moment?”
When Yeonhan Kim spoke, Cho-i affirmed.
“Sure, why not!”
“…”
Taehyeok Sa looked at Cho-i, and Cho-i didn’t even make eye contact.
“Call Suui Kim.”
Dongju Kim replied.
“He’s already here.”
So Suui Kim was called in.
“Greetings, Guild Master.”
He greeted them in a sterner tone than usual. When there was no seat for Suui Kim, Cho-i immediately stood up. Suui Kim raised an eyebrow, wondering why Cho-i was being considerate for once, and then sat in the seat Cho-i had been in.
“…Hey.”
And Cho-i sat back down on Suui Kim’s lap. Yeonhan Kim, who was watching from the side, grabbed Cho-i by the back of the neck and quickly moved her onto his own lap.
“You shouldn’t just sit on a stranger’s lap.”
“Oh, really?”
When Cho-i asked, everyone nodded. She seemed to accept it, comfortably settled on Yeonhan’s lap, and nodded her head as if to tell them to continue the story. After a sigh, Suui Kim began to explain.
