With the system announcement over, Xiao Wuwang waited quietly.
One minute passed quickly, and Xiao Wuwang and Han Xing were immediately enveloped in a dazzling light, vanishing instantly from the train.
When they reappeared, they found themselves in a dimly lit environment.
It was a deep, narrow alley. The walls on both sides were mottled and peeling in large patches. The alley floor was uneven, filled with puddles and mud. Every step splashed filthy water, producing a “pfft, pfft” sound.
The foul-smelling stagnant water emitted a pungent odor of decay, mixed with the sour stench from the surrounding garbage, assaulting the nostrils and making one involuntarily frown and feel nauseated.
Xiao Wuwang immediately ordered, “Go! Let’s get out of here first!”
Exiting the alley and stepping onto the street, breathing in the fresh air, Xiao Wuwang finally felt somewhat better.
He then opened the System Panel to check the camp details.
[Camp Confrontation Mission officially begins.]
[Number of Terminator Camp players: 8.]
[Number of Human Camp players: 2.]
The numerical disparity was the same as last time, heavily skewed. The vast majority still chose the Terminator Camp, which was stronger in the storyline.
In the storyline, the T-1000’s combat power was clearly superior to the T-800’s. With just a slight alteration to the original plot’s progression, the Terminator Camp could secure victory.
This was also the experience summarized by many players.
If one was lucky enough to encounter a situation where everyone chose the same camp, then this Confrontation Platform would be almost a guaranteed win.
However, it was undeniable that in every Platform World, there would always be one or two Powerhouses who were extremely confident in their own strength and deliberately chose to oppose the majority, because they too had their eyes on the opposing camp’s Supply Crates!
If Xiao Wuwang weren’t scheming for the T-800, he would also choose the less populated Human Camp, hoping to hunt down more players from the opposing camp.
Although the Human Camp had fewer members, if he managed to slay both opposing players, the value of the supplies he could obtain would likely not be small.
“But, there are 8 people on our side… this… won’t be easy to divide!”
“Then perhaps… first make our side’s numbers fewer than theirs?”
“That way… wouldn’t there be no one to compete with me?”
Xiao Wuwang’s thoughts grew increasingly dangerous.
He knew well that in the Survival World, it was all about being ruthless enough!
He couldn’t let slip any opportunity to strengthen himself!
The people on his side here had long developed an avoidance mentality, always thinking of muddling through, getting by one level at a time. Little did they know that once such a mindset took root, it planted the seeds of death on this brutal path of survival.
It’s important to know that each Platform World presents an excellent opportunity to enhance one’s strength and acquire resources. If one constantly avoids conflict, they will ultimately become prey on someone else’s chopping block.
Even if Xiao Wuwang doesn’t eliminate these people now, they are destined not to get far.
Xiao Wuwang secretly made up his mind: if they know what’s good for them, fine; if not, he would personally eliminate them completely!
Xiao Wuwang turned to Han Xing and said, “Let’s go! We’ll find a police station first to determine which timeline node we’re in.”
“Yes!” Han Xing acknowledged, quickly walking over to a nearby Santana car.
It inserted a finger into the keyhole, twisted it, and with a “clack,” the car door opened.
Xiao Wuwang sat in the passenger seat, and Han Xing had already started the vehicle.
After asking for directions to the police station on the way, they headed straight there.
By 1995, Los Angeles had already adopted widespread internet access. As long as they found a police station, Han Xing could hack into the network and easily obtain the current timeline node.
Before long, the car came to a steady stop in front of the police station.
With its Transformation ability, Han Xing could infiltrate the police station with ease.
Han Xing first transformed into the appearance of someone who had just left the station, then boldly walked into the police station with Xiao Wuwang.
Han Xing glanced at the sign at the entrance and immediately located the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office door was unlocked, and the two walked straight in without knocking.
There were two people inside the office. Xiao Wuwang had no interest in learning their identities. He and Han Xing quickly approached them, one each, and knocked them out with a swift chop to the neck, the entire process making little noise.
There was a computer in this office, and now it was Han Xing’s time to shine.
Han Xing liquefied its metal form and directly infiltrated the computer chip. Countless pieces of information flashed rapidly across the screen, and soon, one image after another froze in place.
These were all pieces of information related to John Connor and Sarah Connor.
Quickly, Xiao Wuwang filtered out the key details from this information.
At this point, Sarah Connor had already been rescued from the psychiatric hospital, and Cyberdyne Systems had not yet been attacked.
Xiao Wuwang immediately ordered, “Han Xing, immediately hack into the surveillance system at the home of Cyberdyne Systems employee Dyson.”
Before long, footage from Dyson’s home surveillance appeared on the screen.
The video showed a quiet scene, but the environment was in disarray, with a pool of blood on the floor. Since Dyson had already been attacked by Sarah Connor, it was likely that Sarah Connor and her group were now heading to Cyberdyne Systems with the intent to destroy Skynet’s core data.
After learning the timeline node, Xiao Wuwang wasted no time. After changing into a police uniform, he and Han Xing drove a police car straight to Cyberdyne Systems.
Upon arriving at Cyberdyne Systems, they happened to see a T-800 on an upper floor firing a Gatling gun at the police cars below.
Xiao Wuwang signaled Han Xing to stop the car, and the two made their way to the rooftop of a relatively tall office building not far away.
As expected, Cyberdyne Systems would soon be blown up. Under the terrifying impact of such an explosion, even from a distance, one could easily be injured if not properly protected.
Besides, players from the Human Camp would have received coordinate reminders from the start and should now be gathered around the main characters.
Players who dare to choose the Human Camp are not to be underestimated. Xiao Wuwang didn’t know whether the other party had any hidden cards, so for the sake of caution, he naturally wouldn’t rush forward recklessly. Instead, he planned to observe the situation first and wait for the right opportunity to act.
Caution is the golden rule for living long in the Survival World.
