Chapter 161 – Then See What I Can Do

Chapter 161 – Then See What I Can Do

“Then take a look at me!”

A chilling voice abruptly echoed through the hall, plunging the atmosphere into a silence so profound one could hear a pin drop.

Ston’s laughter ceased abruptly. His silver eyes swept the surroundings and instantly locked onto a corner of the hall, where a figure stood.

And this person, unsurprisingly, was none other than Ye Kuang!

When Sophia caught sight of this figure, her eyes couldn’t help but moisten. She had already resigned herself to the belief that no one could save her from this dire situation and had mentally prepared for death.

Yet, against all odds, this familiar figure appeared before her once again.

Suddenly, as if transformed, she urgently shouted, “Ye Kuang, run! This is not someone you can handle. He is—”

But Ye Kuang responded with a cold tone, “A bat, isn’t he…”

Hearing this, Sophia chose to fall silent.

After all, she had long realized that the man before her held not an ounce of goodwill toward vampires—and that included her own identity as one.

Unbeknownst to her, Ston was infuriated by the term “vampire,” a derogatory relic from past centuries.

With a flutter of his wings, he landed directly in front of Ye Kuang.

“Sophia, who is he? Why is there a human here?”

“He’s just an errand boy. Don’t harm him. Let him leave, and I’ll go with you!”

Ston couldn’t hide his astonishment at her words.

His silver eyes darted between Ye Kuang and Sophia, and in an instant, he understood everything.

“Hahaha, Sophia, oh Sophia, you’ve truly lost your senses. The one you claimed to love—is it this brat? A mere mortal!”

At this, Ston’s tone shifted sharply, his killing intent now undisguised. “It’s been a long time since I’ve tasted fresh blood. Since that’s the case, I’ll make you, this fickle woman, witness your lover’s death and despair right before your eyes.”

Sophia’s face paled instantly. In her panic, she flapped her wings and lunged fiercely at Ston.

Her shrill scream pierced the hall: “Ye Kuang, run!”

Boom!

But a sudden, thunderous impact sent Sophia crashing through a wall like a cannonball, hurling her into another room. No movement followed.

Ston calmly retracted his sharp claws, his gaze fixed on Ye Kuang, who hadn’t moved an inch. He chuckled, “Quite the nerve, but that’s all.”

Then, his tone shifted again as he continued, “Because you are about to become the sustenance for the exalted Count Ston.”

Ye Kuang: “Are you done with your nonsense?”

“Hmm?” Ston was momentarily taken aback. His silver eyes then narrowed sinisterly as he taunted, “Eager to die, are you? Very well, I shall grant your wish!”

Whoosh!

No sooner had Ston spoken than a fist, large as a sandbag, shot toward him.

Ye Kuang had timed his strike perfectly, catching his opponent off guard.

Yet, he had underestimated Ston’s speed, and the punch landed on empty air.

Ston reappeared three zhang away, a faint glimmer flashing in his silver eyes as he sneered, “A mere human brat, thinking you can lay a hand on a noble vamp—”But before Ston’s words had fully faded, another fist rapidly expanded in his field of vision.

Ye Kuang had actually erupted with another sudden punch.

This time, Ston again evaded the attack, landing over twenty feet away.

“It’s useless. No matter how many punches you throw, you can’t touch me,” Ston said.

Hearing this, Ye Kuang instead halted his movements and pointed at his own cheek with his index finger.

“Hmm?” Ston couldn’t help but feel puzzled, but in the blink of an eye, he detected something unusual.

“This… how is this possible?” Instantly, Ston’s expression changed dramatically, then he gritted his teeth and snarled, “You brat! How dare you injure me, Count Ston! I’ll drain every last drop of your blood!!”

As he spoke, Ston wiped the dark blood from his cheek and charged straight at Ye Kuang.

His speed was like a sharp arrow—before his form even arrived, a sonic boom resounded through the hall!

Simultaneously, Ye Kuang also moved.

Crossing Great Rivers!

In terms of speed, it could be said that only one person had ever surpassed him to date. This bat-like creature certainly didn’t possess such capability.

Ye Kuang pushed off with his toes, his figure shifting back and forth unpredictably. Not only did he evade the continuous, piercing black winds, but he also suddenly appeared behind Ston.

At this critical moment, Ston felt a chill run down his spine. Without thinking, he immediately struck back with a reverse claw swipe.

Seeing this, Ye Kuang tilted his head to dodge the sharp claws and followed up with a powerful kick.

Boom!

A fierce gust of wind and thunder roared forth, striking like a bolt from the blue.

At this moment, Ston was sent uncontrollably crashing into a wardrobe.

But immediately after, violent winds swept through as Ston fiercely rose again, wildly swinging his sharp claws and shredding everything around him to pieces.

Seeing this, Ye Kuang’s figure flickered continuously as he launched another assault.

At this point, Ston seemed to have no time to think. Spreading his claws, he met the fist with a punch of his own.

Thump!

As thunder seemed to hang overhead, the deafening roar was unavoidable.

The floor now appeared as fragile as paper under the immense recoil, instantly shattering into fragments.

Yet, astonishingly, despite enduring such a heavy blow, Ston stood up as if completely unharmed. As he rose, he wildly swung claw-generated winds forward.

The resulting storm of wind and waves resembled countless blades combining into a net of slicing energy.

Everything in its path, visible to the naked eye, was shredded into fine dust.

Witnessing this, Ye Kuang’s expression shifted unavoidably, forcing him to temporarily retreat from the onslaught.

But as he saw another blade net approaching, he gritted his teeth fiercely and thrust both palms into the ground.

“Rise!”

Crack, crack, crack!

Amid his furious shout and the overlapping sounds of shattering stone, a square slab was violently torn from the ground in an instant.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

A loud humming filled the air as the stone slab spun directly toward the blade net.

Screech… Hiss—BOOM!!

In an instant, the air was filled with countless cutting sounds, while fragmented stones flew chaotically in all directions.

Ye Kuang stepped straight through the wind blades and unleashed a “Sudden Arrival” at Ston.

Roar, roar, roar!

A golden streak of light silently appeared as a colossal creature, radiating bone-chilling killing intent, opened its bloody maw toward Ston.

In that moment, the Wandering Dragons clamped onto Ston’s wings, entangling him completely in close combat.

Ston: “Get off!!!”

Boom!

As the thunderous explosion echoed, dust billowed, instantly filling the entire hall with rolling, dragon-like clouds of smoke.Ye Kuang strode forward boldly; though not a single current of air stirred, the hem of his robes still flapped vigorously.

From beginning to end, he appeared as composed and unruffled as a gentle breeze…
